Villa Zolaan, a modern 10 person villa a short walk from the beach of Jan Thiel

Villa Zolaan is a beautiful, 10 person villa located in the heart of the area Vista Royal within walking distance of the beach of Jan Thiel.

The completely walled garden is tropically decorated and offers space for at least 2 cars.

Upon entering you enter the living room which is equipped with a dining table and open kitchen with cooking island. The large lounge sofa in the adjoining sitting room stands in front of the widescreen TV on which you can watch almost all Dutch channels. Of course, the free WIFI is accessible here, but also in the rest of the villa.

The villa has 5 bedrooms with their own full bathroom en-suite and ample closet space. Lots of privacy for all guests.

Through large sliding doors you step onto the cozy terrace with the private swimming pool as the centerpiece. There are sun loungers around the pool for sunbathers and under the roof is a large dining table for cozy meals.

On the roof of the villa is a Sky lounge with a large palapa (canopy). From this cozy furnished roof terrace you have a sea view and you can enjoy the surroundings and the setting sun.

The supermarket and the beach of Jan Thiel with all its restaurants and beach clubs is only a 5-minute walk from the villa.

Villa Zolaan can only be rented for 14 nights during the Christmas period with arrival or departure date in the periode December 23. 2023 and January 7, 2024

A house is being built on the adjacent property. We expect that this will not bother you because there is quite a distance between the houses. We expect that the house will be finished around July 2024

Fantastic outdoor space and great location. Kitchen was well appointed, having two fridges, sinks and dishwashers was great.

We had a group of eight women, and this home accommodated us perfectly. The spacious kitchen was ideal for gathering, and we especially enjoyed the multiple outdoor spaces, including the large covered table and the upstairs patio where we had morning coffee and enjoyed a glass of wine while watching stunning sunsets over Jan Thiel Beach. The location is fantastic, with an easy walk to the beach, grocery stores, shops, and restaurants. We experienced a few minor hiccups, but the host was very responsive and resolved everything quickly. We would definitely recommend this property to others.

Great location! Walking distance to beach, market, restaurants and casino. Plenty of room for everyone. Rooftop palapa was great to have somewhere to go for a breeze. Marieke was very responsive to questions we had. Easy check in, check out.

Fantastic Villa! Great outdoor space, pool gets sun all day and dining table has partial shade. Third floor palapa has a wonderful breeze for the best afternoon naps. Kitchen is huge with 2 sinks, 2 dishwashers, 2 refrigerators and 2 ovens. Birds will fly into kitchen and steal sugar and other sweet snacks so make sure everything is well sealed!

The house was beautiful and a great layout for our group of 8. Lots of room in the kitchen and pool areas. The top deck with the thatched roof was always breezy and a great place to chill out late afternoon. The walk to the beach and town was super easy!We worked really hard not to incur any further electric charges and used minimal electricity but still went over the allotted amount. Flies and ants in the kitchen were slightly annoying but I guess that is the islands.

amazing!!!

The house was perfect for our group. Jan Thiel is a great area to decompress at. Close to shopping and food, yet has the neighborhood feel. Can't wait to return to Curacao.

Friends and Family Vacation

The property is wonderful as described. We were two families on vacation and had more than enough room to enjoy time together or take a little personal time. Easy walk to grocery and restaurants. We felt very safe and secure in the neighbourhood. We had a wonderful time.

Beautiful property!

The property was spacious, clean and beautiful. Check-in was easy and very accommodating. If I had any questions, they were answered right away. We had a great time in the pool and enjoyed the view of the sunset in the evening. I would definitely recommend this property. The only thing I can recommend is to put a fan in the kitchen area. It was so hot that we couldn’t really enjoy the beautiful kitchen because it’s too hot. overall, I would recommend staying at this property. We had a party of seven and everyone had enough space and Was comfortable.

Great Space

I enjoyed staying here with my friends and family. There were 8 of us and more than enough everything for us all to enjoy the house and also not be on top of each other. Everything in terms of kitchen needs was more than enough. I do wish however because there is no AC in common areas the house would provide fly repellent as doors need to be open to catch a beeeze or have it be cool. Also I understand we were allotted a specific amount of electricity per day but we only used the AC at night as told and we still had an 85 euro bill at the end of our 5 night stay which I think was a bit unfair considering again it was only used at night for sleeping. Perhaps it’s because everyone used in all 5 bedrooms. Nonetheless I would stay there again- even the half bathroom outside by the pool was a pleasant surprise. My favorite was the upstairs room as it was beautiful designed and was the best place to catch the breeze. The sunsets from there was amazing as well. Thanks for a great stay!

Here’s a balanced, honest Vrbo review that highlights the positives while clearly noting the issues:⸻We had a really nice stay overall. The location was excellent, the home was very clean when we arrived, and the outdoor spaces were a big highlight. The pool and patio area were wonderful for relaxing, and we especially enjoyed the rooftop cabana and the beautiful view.That said, there were a few challenges. We did not have hot water for four of the eight days. To their credit, management was responsive and worked diligently to get it fixed, but it was a significant inconvenience and no discount or accommodation was offered.A few amenities felt limited for an eight-day stay. Only one roll of toilet paper was provided per bathroom, there was no soap for the showers, no housekeeping service, no countertop cleaner, and even small things like a fly swatter would have been helpful. The kitchen pots and pans were quite small and fairly worn. Bedding consisted of only a heavy sheet with no additional blankets.Be aware that electricity usage is metered. We were mindful—using AC mainly at night and running laundry—but still went slightly over the allotted amount.Overall, the property itself is in a great spot with lovely outdoor spaces and views, but future guests may want to clarify what is included and plan accordingly for supplies and utilities.

Jan Thiel Modern Villa

Villa had a lot going for it. Located in quiet neighbourhood with easy access to local shops. Great size and layout for our family of 7 (3 generations) with plenty of room for everyone to spread around. The pool was so refreshing and we put it to use at least 2 to 3 times a day. The kids in particular loved it. The management team was very friendly as well as responsive to some minor issues that came up, and had someone there to greet us on arrival and see us off at the end of our stay. All in all a very nice place run by true professionals. It was not perfect though. I have some mobility problems and found the furniture too low and deep to get in and out of easily. While the kitchen was huge and had plenty of dishes, it was missing some basic items like mixing bowls, measuring cups/spoons and oven mitts. The linens in the primary bedroom were too light for my wife to sleep comfortably while the pillows just okay but there were no other options available to us.

Stijlvol ingerichte woning voorzien van alles wat je nodig hebt.

Wij hebben een fantastisch verblijf gehad in dit volledig en stijlvol ingericht huis voorzien van alle gemakken. Het huis is schoon opgeleverd. Communicatie in aanloop naar onze komst, tijdens onze aankomst, tijdens het inchecken en tijdens het verblijf was vriendelijk en behulpzaam.Een late uitcheck was kosteloos geen probleem omdat de woning aansluitend aan ons verblijf niet direct verhuurd was. Enige punt van aandacht was dat er bij aankomst al veel kleine mieren in het huis rondliepen. Dit ondanks het feit dat er door eigenaren duidelijk aan pestcontrol werd gedaan. Helaas is hier dus niet veel aan te doen. Al met al waren mijn zoon en ik graag veel langer gebleven.

Großartige Unterkunft. Traumhafte Sonnenuntergänge

Das Haus ist perfekt für 10 Personen. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll eingerichtet, auf jedes Detail wurde geachtet. Die Küche ist großartig ausgestattet. Die Nähe zum Strand und zu Einkaufsmöglichkeiten ist toll. Die Kommunikation vorab und vor Ort war klasse. Vielen Dank dafür. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Gerne kommen wir wieder.
