I couldn't have enjoyed my stay more. The cabin was clean, well decorated and perfect for the week I spent at John C Campbell.

Clean, modern facility. Host was delightful. 4 minutes from where we were visiting in a wooded setting. Remote from stores, but within 15 miles of the nearest town. Beautiful grounds, host was welcoming and very helpful.

This is such a charming, peaceful, functional, and well-organized place to stay! The host, Jan, is wonderful! I enjoyed breakfast on the porch with a view of the mountains each day. Inside everything is laid out comfortably and tastefully from the furniture to the decorations and supplies. I hope very much to stay here again!

Host was quick to reply to questions when booking, and texted updates me as needed. It was quiet, which is what I was looking for. I'd book with them again, next time I am in the area.

A wonderful escape!

This property exceeded our expectations and we were warmly welcomed. We only needed to unpack our suitcases. We would definitely stay here again.

Excellent stay while taking a long weekend class at John C. Campbell Folk School. Quiet, comfortable, simple living. Will be back (and bringing my family) next month!

Quiet spot close to Folk School

Sweet little spot. Hosts were gracious; guesthouse was super clean and well outfitted. Enjoyed my stay while taking a class at the folk school.

Charming Cottage

Peaceful, quiet setting in the woods; up-to-date appliances; comfortable; lovely decor. The hosts were congenial and responsive, made us feel welcome. We will definitely return on our next stay in this area.

Beautifully decorated with hand made quilts. Exceptionally clean. Welcoming space with good storage options for a guest’s traveling items. Comfortable beds. Serene surroundings with woods and flower gardens. Very short drive to John C Campbell craft school.

Cozy, creative, and comfortable

The best property we have ever experienced over many years oftravel. Everything is in pristine condition, lovely quilts adorn the walls, beds are comfy, suroundings are serene and quiet, and many thoughtful touches are included. The owner was quickly responsiveto a question and so very nice. Will return again!

Most helpful

My hosts were very helpful when I got up Thursday morning to drive to the folk school and my truck wouldn't start. They let me extend my stay by one night and even volunteered to get me to and from my class.I would not hesitate to stay with them again.

Great little cabin on the mountain.

5. You have a beautiful little cabin and a great deal for the price. I loved sitting and looking out at the woods and trees. The cabin in so clean and fresh I thought it was a brand new construction. The location was ideal for all kinds of field trips durning the day. Thank you for such a treasure.

This was a great option for my stay while taking a class at the Folk School. It was quiet and clean and felt like I was sleeping in an ADA-accessible treehouse. The kitchen was larger and better stocked than most rental kitchens. Jan and Greg are super nice. The house is up a hill, with a drive on a middle unpaved section. The directions were terrific, and I am glad I went for the first time during the day. I found it at night with no problem after I had been there during the day once, but I think I might have been confused if my first visit had been after dark. I recommend for anyone coming to the Folk School who can’t stay on campus.

Jan and Greg were kind and respectful hosts, and I appreciated the peace and tranquility their rental provided while attending blacksmithing classes at J.C.C.F.S. I especially enjoyed watching the deer stroll by while enjoying my morning coffee.coffee

Quiet Oasis

This cottage is perfect for a quiet get away. The owners are delightful and they communicated driving directions and the check in process exceptionally well. I loved getting away from it all as the cottage did not have a TV or internet. Phone service was perfect, though. If you are taking a class at the John C. Campbell Folk School, this cottage is only a five minute drive and an adorable find. The cottage was spotless, seemed newly renovated, and the kitchen was well stocked. Would absolutely come back.
