Had some issues but the host did respond but I did feel like we should have at least received cleaning fee back for the issue we had.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The house was spacious, clean, well equipped and beautifully located right across from the lake. The view from the deck, where we spend a lot of time, was gorgeous. We enjoyed the kayaks as well. We would stay there again.

A great place to stay

Came up for a weekend family event. It was so nice drinking my morning coffee while reading a book on the deck that has a nice view of the water. Would definitely stay there again.

Christmas at Guilford

Great location for our family. The house is very cute with plenty of space. It also has really nice views. The amenities are typical for the area and worked well for us.

Last minute July 4th getaway

Awesome location! Just across the street from the lake. Everything about the house was great, from the deck that overlooked the lake to the nice cold a/c after a long day. Really nice clean property with lots of extras.

Perfect location!

Right in the middle of all of the activities we had planned. Very clean property and worked nicely with our multi-generational group.

This property was amazing! Right on Lake Guilford, had plenty of room, the pictures provided doesn't do the space justice! The home was very clean and comfortable absolutely no complaints! We visit our family in Ohio often and will Definitely be staying in the home again in the future.

The online photos do not do this house justice. It is very spacious inside and very well laid out for a family gathering. We were a group that included toddlers, teenagers and grandparents and everyone loved it. It was impeccably clean, the kitchen was fully equipped. Everything needed for an enjoyable stay was provided. The bedrooms were spacious with very comfortable beds. We would definitely stay there again.

Lake time!!

We had a great week at the Lake! A bit cool for Memorial Day and week. But, we still love the Lake. The house provided everything we needed! Our stay there was excellent! Looking forward to another stay at the house and Lake!

Book Club Weekend

We loved this location. We were able to kayak during the day, share meals on the back deck, and enjoy a bonfire with a view of the lake in the evening. The house was clean and comfortable and perfectly suited for this group of old friends.

Family visit

We were back in the area for our granddaughter’s graduation. We had a different place reserved which fell through at the last minute. Thankful we found this place. It was perfect for our family get together. Carolyn was very accessible and helpful.

Family vacation

This house was perfect for our family vacation. Our family of 10 adults and 2 teenage children (not all at one time – staggered visits) enjoyed using the kayaks, fire pit, and game room. Great location with a number of farmer’s markets nearby The well equipped kitchen and gas grill on the patio made making dinner plans easy. Highly recommend!

Great place to relax

We had a great time visiting and really appreciated that the owners left lots of extras that made our stay easy and comfortable. We loved the deck overlooking the lake, cozy living room, game room with fusbol, and firepit ! We also really enjoyed walking just across the street with perfect spots to fish and put in the kayaks. Especially with little kids, it was lovely.

A Great Place to Stay Awhile!

This beautiful house is exactly as described. There are plenty of spaces so that two families can easily be together. We had lots of fun kayaking, fishing across from the house, playing darts and foosball, going to the beach, and just enjoying the view of the lake from the porch. There is also a nice yard for outdoor games.Carolyn was very quick to respond to my questions as we got ready for our trip. It was so nice having some of the essentials that you need for a vacation.It is absolutely a great place to Stay Awhile!

Lovely getaway

We were in the area for a wedding for a weekend and chose this rental over, staying at a local hotel. What a great choice. Clean, spacious and well appointed. It was a much more comfortable spot for us to gather than in the hotel. Beautiful overlooking the lake and sipping on coffee in the morning.

Loved the place, will probably revisit!

Property and location were both great! Very pretty, for a fall getaway. Much better than a hotel, as the whole family can stay together. There was a heating issue one day, where the heat was not working, but before we even messaged the owner... we were sent a message by them, on how to fix the problem. Would definitely recommend!

Lake Get Away

We really enjoyed our stay at the Lake house. It was big enough for the entire family. Everyone had fun at the lake. We went swimming, boating and fishing. We caught fish too! The house was clean and inviting. Plenty of games with the game room. Watched movies and grilled everyday. We do recommend this house. We plan on coming back. Thanks George

Ohio visit

We had a lovely visit to Stay Awhile at Guilford Lake to visit family nearby. The good sized house has been updated recently (paint and carpeting). It seemed a bit musty but we were able to turn off the A/C in the mornings and air it out and it was fine. We did a lot of cooking with local foods from farmer’s market and found that to be a treat. The kitchen included everything we needed. The host supplied some starter snacks and coffees which were appreciated. The deck featured a gas grill that we used as well. The dishwasher worked well. We kayaked around the lake one morning with the kayaks in the shed. My husband (who is a triathlete) swam around the lake each morning and thought it was great. I found the road to be perfect for jogging. The bed was comfortable and clean. The bathroom was pretty, clean and the provided towels were fluffy and white. We gave the washer and dryer a work out, so it was nice to take a suitcase full of clean clothes. We intended to rent a pontoon at Mark’s Landing but the day we planned to do this was stormy. It was pretty hot, so we didn’t use the fire pit but I imagine it would be fun. My 82 yr old parents joined us for 2 nights. They were able to navigate the steps onto the main floor without too much difficulty and liked staying with us. This house would accommodate a family comfortably. We greatly enjoyed our time there and would love to return some time.

Family vacation

Let me start by saying that the property owners are available and respond quickly for any questions or concerns. Now for the house, absolutely amazing location, quaint lake cottage decor, ample room for everyone to spread out. The lake is beautiful, amazing sunrises and sunsets. The house is so clean and well stocked. The kitchen has everything you could possibly need. Shampoo, conditioner and soaps along with big fluffy towels in the bathrooms. The house is very spacious plenty of beds for the 8 of us. Me, my sister her husband, my nephew his wife and two kids brought my 89 year old mother to Ohio to spend time with her siblings. At first we were worried about the few steps leading into the house, but my mom maneuvered them just fine. The game room, kayaks, fire pit for s’mores, the beautiful deck and the washer and dryer were an added bonus. We had so much fun kayaking on the lake. I highly recommend this property and would absolutely stay there again. Unfortunately the last few days of our trip there was a huge storm that knocked out the electricity and the water for a few days the water was unable to pump so we had to leave a few unwashed dishes in the sink. We felt terrible about that. One small suggestion would be to have a few flashlights or lanterns available in case of bad weather. We were very thankful for the candles that they had. But the lanterns or flashlights would be safer to carry from room to room. Thank you for sharing your beautiful lake house with us
