New one bedroom house, 780 square feet. Nine-foot ceilings, full kitchen, huge picture windows with mountain views in directions. Heavy on wood, log, and cabin design. Iron pipe prevalent as well. Large deck with chairs, table, gas BBQ.
New for 2025, small gazebo with seating, table, shelter from wind and sun. Incredible views. Sheltered BBQ.

The house is very cute and well appointed. We enjoyed the quiet and dark location, it is for star gazing. We were there during the lunar eclipse. The location is beautiful with a full view of Mt Blanca . It was very windy a few days while we were there so very dusty . This made sitting outside not happen as much a we would have liked. The house is within a 25 minute drive to the GSDNP, and Zapata Falls , both of which we explored. We would stay again, highly recommend .

This place is perfect. Clean, great host. Chris met me to walk through the property. The location was an easy drive to everything we wanted to do. I’d stay there again!

Exactly what we were looking for! Quiet, peaceful, & with 360 views of the mountains around the San Luis valley. Clean, comfortable, & has an unparalleled view form the back deck. Id stay here again in a heartbeat.

Excellent stay

Had an excellent visit. Clean, quiet area between Alamosa and Sand Dunes National Park. Nice place to use as a base camp for visiting the area. Amazing views at both day and night. Owner was nice and helpful.

A beautiful place to stay!

The house was gorgeous and a lovely place to stay at! The owner was prompt to respond to questions and it we had everything we needed. It was very easy to find, even in the dark, and it was close to the sand dunes. I would absolutely stay here again!

Great place to stay

This was a perfect place to stay. All of the amenities were clean, easily accessible, and very up to date. I love the atmosphere with the wooden floors, and great views. Chris was excellent to communicate with was very accomodating

This is a great location for visiting Great Sand Dune National Park and surrounding area. The check-in process was simple and flexible. Our host met us in person and gave us a tour of the home ensuring we had everything we needed. The kitchen was fully stocked, and the back deck was perfect for viewing the sunrise and the night sky. We will consider staying here again.

Excellent location.

Clean, efficient, charming, and fully equipped to deliver a fun comfortable stay near the Great Sand Dunes. Chris was so easy to communicate with. The design of the house is perfect, and it’s situated between the town of Alamosa and the National Park.

Fabulous stay near Great Sand Dunes National Park

The house was perfect and very convenient for our National Park trip. Fabulous views of the Sangre de Cristo mountains and the San Luis Valley area. Host had thought of everything. We were very comfortable.

Beautiful views & dog friendly

The house was the perfect home built lovingly by the owner. The views of the Sangre de Cristo mountain range were spectacular. We hiked Zapata Falls, Monte Vista Wildlife Refuge & The Great Sand Dunes National Park with our border collies. The owner gave us lots of local information plus our dogs loved his dog! All had a blast running & chasing sticks on the property every evening. Sunsets were awesome!

Perfect SLV Location

Our first stay in SLV & we were so happy to have chosen this location- perfectly situated for day trips exploring the abundance of incredible natural areas, hot springs & local businesses & breweries. The view of the night sky here is amazing & exactly what we were looking for. Very little light pollution and no close neighbors while you spend the evening on the back deck. The house itself is cozy, clean & well cared for. We look forward to our next visit! ❤️

Mt. Blanca House

We loved staying at our VRBO in Alamosa, Colorado. Beautiful view of Mt. Blanca and other peaks. House amenities included deck with chairs and a grill, living room with futon and kitchen area, large bathroom with full size washer/dryer, separate bedroom with queen bed. Pet friendly (large dog crate provided), as well as a mud room for skis, shoes, jackets, etc. We loved the quiet outside at night. Would book again if we pass through the area.
