Welcome to our lake front rental property! We are thrilled to have you as our guests and hope that your stay will be both relaxing and enjoyable. Our little cottage was built in 1912, My husband and I were fortunate to acquire in 2017 and now in 2024 our Blue Dream Cottage is finished and ready to enjoy. Seven years to create our perfect idea of a cottage by the lake.
Our property features stunning views of the lake, a private dock for swimming and fishing and a cozy cottage for you to unwind in. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful retreat or a fun filled vacation, our lake front rental is the perfect place for you.
If you happen to have brought a boat, jet ski or renting from a nearby location there is a mooring directly off the dock straight ahead.

Blue Dream our Cozy Cottage is a great vacation getaway to enjoy as a family. Located on Torch Lake, just a couple blocks away from downtown Alden MI. One thing we love about Blue Dream is how conveniently located it is to grab coffee and breakfast in the morning at Muffin tin (lunch option too), get lunch or dinner at the Torch Lake Beer Co., grabbing an ice cream at Higgin's and enjoying a fire making smores while looking at a beautiful Torch Lake sunset. Check in Days are Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday with a four night minimum. Check out days are Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

The host was wonderful and quick to reply. The house has everything you will need and having coffee there for the morning was so nice. Our kids enjoyed the welcome basket very much. Beds are firm but comfortable. Parking is very limited. Overall a wonderful vacation. Thank you!!

Great waterfront location on Torch Lake - beautiful sunsets! This property was clean, well-equipped, and accurately described. The location was fantastic - very short walking distance to "downtown" Alden (Alden's Mill House, The Muffin Tin were great) and the park. If you're bringing a boat, it is great - the mooring ball was well-maintained, and you're close to the Sandbar as well as the Clam Lake entrance (good fishing; Dockside restaurant you can easily boat to). The host was very responsive as well.

Great, communicative host. Sweet little cottage right on the lake. Everything we needed, nothing we didn’t. It could have been a little cleaner, especially the floors, but overall we were very happy with this spot and our time spent there. We would come back for sure!

We had an amazing stay at this property! The location was absolutely perfect. It is so close to Alden which made it incredibly convenient to enjoy the local restaurants, shops, and everything the area has to offer. The proximity to the sandbar was another huge highlight, making it easy to spend our days out on the water.The home itself was spotless and exceptionally well maintained. It was clear that the owners take great pride in keeping the property in top condition. To top it all off, the views were simply unbeatable. Whether enjoying a morning coffee or relaxing in the evening, the scenery was breathtaking and made our stay even more memorable. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-kept home in an incredible location.

AMAZING TRIP! The property is absolutely GORGEOUS! I could spend every morning and evening with that beautiful view. One of our favorite things was how close it was to the super cute town and all its restaurants and shops. We loved the dock and lake and proximity to watercraft rentals. The home itself was very clean and we could tell how well they have taken care of it. Very well stocked with everything we needed and it was a perfect cottage. The host was FANTASTIC! She communicated very well before and during our stay! A couple issues popped up (none were within their control) and they handled immediately to ensure we enjoyed our stay. I would HIGHLY recommend that anyone stay at this property and soak it all in….

Beautiful cottage in a perfect location

We stayed here during the long weekend for the 4th of July. It was a great weekend. The weather was a little dicey at times but this cottage is VERY nice, on the water, and a 2 minute walk to all that Alden’s downtown has to offer. Probably the nicest rental property in the area.

Beautiful newly remodeled cabin on a beautiful lake

Wonderful stay for our family with 2 younger children. Easy lake access with dock and mooring ball worked perfectly with our pontoon boat. Shallow with sandy bottom quite a ways out which worked out great for the kids. Only steps to Alden with couple nice spots to eat and shops. Rental provided all we needed and host was super responsive/helpful.
