For those on a budget, we have a hotel-style room with a queen bed, ground floor, shower, flat screen TV, under-counter fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. Very comfortable new mattress. The courtyard outside has a table and 2 chairs in the shade to enjoy a meal.

The Abbey del Sol property also has 7 comfortable, well-appointed apartments with fully equipped kitchens. Rent individually for couples and small families or in combination for groups and large families. Beautiful gardens, a refreshing pool, free Wi-Fi, and many amenities. 2 blocks to the beach and 8 blocks to the town square. Main office onsite with helpful English-speaking staff.

Peaceful and Beautiful

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I needed a week to stay somewhere and we could only get one night at Abby Del Sol because they were booked. But it was so nice and cozy. The landscaping and pool area was so nice. The front desk, the workers were so polite and friendly. Mildred in the front office helped us and was very kind and sweet. We would have definitely stayed the whole week and even paid more money for a different room, but they were booked. So my advice is to book before high season if you want to experience this calm,friendly, beautiful place.

A beautiful property and a good location, if only a little far from the fun stuff. I was warned in their email, that their office is only open from 8 AM to 5 PM, and then I need to communicate if I’m going to be late. My flight was delayed, and although I messaged hours before I arrived, I received no reply from the owner -for over a day. I showed up at about 7 PM, and could not reach anyone. I ended up sleeping in the back seat of my not large rental car outside of the property. FYI, you have to get up about every three hours, and drive with the windows down, because carbon dioxide builds up. NOT pleasant. All I needed was an a four digit code to a lock box embedded in the gate wall. It was never given. When I arrived, Maria, the very sweet and helpful woman who runs the on-site office, had no idea I was coming. After several days, the host finally replied. -no explanation, no apology. I was, however offered “credit for one day useful only at their property. Yippee. Looking at the reviews of this place, I can only guess that it has sold to a new owner, or that the owner has lost their desire to operate a business. All I can say is if you show up after five, bring a blanket and a pillow.

The car I slept in after traveling all day. The beautiful property I could not enter in the background.

The curb where I brushed my teeth in the morning. Had to wait for the.OXXO store to open at six.

We enjoyed our stay very much

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Although I only stayed for 2 nights, this is a place I'd like to stay in again if passing through Puerto Morelos. On my first night, I looked through their folder full of valuable information for guests. It didn't just cover amenities found on the property, but also which ATMs to avoid in town so as to keep from paying high fees or exchange rates. I did not visit the beach during my stay, but did find the pool on the premises very enjoyable and relaxing. I even had a very enjoyable chat with Nancy at the front desk as I awaited the arrival of my driver when checking out.

Great find in Puerto Morelos

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This property is located about an 8-minute walk to restaurants and the center of town. It's also just a block off the beach. The unit is compact but has all of the amenities of a larger unit. We didn't spend a lot of time in the unit so it was the perfect place to crash after a day at the beach or exploring. There are bikes that guests can use for rides into town and cabs are fairly easy to flag down. The unit was clean, the air conditioning works well, and the place was spotless. The front desk crew is very helpful with any requests or suggestions for activities or things to do. We will definitely stay again.
