We had an amazing stay. The house was perfect- very clean and accommodating. The host was very responsive. We loved the outdoor space. It was the perfect place to relax and make memories.

We absolutely loved our 3 night stay at this beautiful property. The pictures on the site are exactly what you will see in person. Immaculate, super clean, and the layout is open and perfect. Elly has thought of everything imagineable for a comfortable stay - towels, bedding, internet, computer monitors, TV's, soaps and dishwashing detergent, well appointed kitchen with excellent appliances, cooking and eating utensils, kayaks, fire pit, high chair for toddlers, a play pen, a fold-out floor mattress, and the list could go on and on endlessly. The dock is in excellent condition (at least 6 feet deep at the deep end half if you want to bring your boat) and the view is awesome. Very peaceful and quiet. It is the perfect guest house for a family vacation. We hope to return soon. A. Thank You Elly for offering this property to us. Kurt & Karen.

This home was immaculate, spacious, extremely comfortable and well equipped for two families with a baby. The view was beautiful water side as well as the cute little ground hog babies and wild life out front. The windows/view really make the place! We enjoyed boating, crabbing and fishing off the dock. Thank you to our host Elly for providing our family a memorable weekend we will cherish forever

We had a wonderful time, although, we wish we could have stayed longer. Our grandchildren loved the playground and the crab traps. We had luck catching crabs. Highly recommend this for a family get away. The setting is so pretty and peaceful. Thank you again.

Perfect Peaceful Getaway

This is my family's 2nd trip to this lovely home. We enjoyed our short stay and were very comfortable. The sunroom alone was worth the trip with it's beautiful views of the river. Elly was very responsive and a wonderful host as always!

Peaceful and relaxing weekend

We had great stay. The house was clean, spacious, and cozy. We thoroughly enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing, kayaking, and crabbing; in the evenings we loved roasting food by the fire pit. Highly recommend this place for a laidback family trip.

The house and property were well maintained with updated features not commonly found in the area. The home had a nice open layout and great views from the sun room of the water. Our family had a great time and enjoyed the space!

Summer vacation

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. House was spacious, beds very comfortable, and everything was super clean! Hosts were so easy to communicate with and responded quickly with any questions. The kids enjoyed playing ball & croquet in the spacious yard and kayaking on the river with the 2kayaks provided. Crabbing was excellent. Would definitely stay again.

Great getaway

Even better in person pictures don't give it enough Justice. House was better than expected master bedroom super nice super comfy bed had a great time enjoyed sitting on the dock. Super clean well taken care of house

Great stay

My husband and I enjoyed our time here. The house was immaculate and just as pictured. The house is near others but we still had tons of privacy and were not bothered by that at all. The neighborhood is extremely quiet. We were a drive away from sandy beaches and felt like we were able to see so much that a 2nd trip back is already on our minds. Lots of jellyfish in the water when we stayed but still enjoyed paddling on our kayaks right out the back door! We also appreciated the use of the crab pots provided on the deck. The only thing lacking in the area was some good restaurants but we were able to find a couple good local spots to eat. Definitely recommend this place for a couple or small family if you want to explore the Northern neck of Virginia.

Fantastic family getaway

We had an amazing time at this property. The house was immaculate and had all of the amenities you could possibly need. The property itself was awesome - from the playground for younger ones, the fire pit with stocked wood, the kayaks for use, and the private pier. I will say this was our first time to this area, and while the listing said you coule swim off the private pier, there were a substantial amount of jellyfish in the water so we decided not to. The crab pots were a cool addition, and the owner was great about texting us some strategies on how best to catch some big crabs, since we had never done it. All in all we loved our couple days here and will definitely be coming back!

Pier House Guest

Chesapeake bay waterfront property, well maintained with lots of peace and quiet. The house was very clean and well appointed with modern up-to-date appliances. You don't need to bring pots, pans, cooking utensils, etc., the host provides all the essentials. Bring whatever you want to eat and drink, and you're golden. They roll the sidewalks up early in Reedville and surrounding areas, so plan ahead to get restaurant schedules, and pick up those last minute items from the store in the early afternoon. You can't go wrong with this property, it's a gem; so is the host!
