Very comfortable place to stay with a nice view. Close to town but also very quiet and relaxing. Enjoyed sitting out on the large deck with our dogs. Host was very helpful with any questions and responses.

Perfect little getaway for the weekend. Great location, very quiet, and beautiful accommodations. Will definitely be coming back. Collin was an excellent host and his place is great!

We had a wonderful weekend stay! The cabin was beautiful and had everything we needed to cook, grill and enjoy the river. We had a boat at the marina and easily beached it at the cabin. Colin was an excellent host and very easy to communicate with. Would highly recommend this to anyone who wants a relaxed stay with nature.

The cabin was Clean and Well-maintained. The river was pretty high, so the Beach wasn't really usable. Would stay again.

We loved our stay and plan to return! Clean and comfortable cabin. Having a bathroom in both bedrooms was a plus. We enjoyed watching the hummingbird's right near the deck along with the nice view of the water. Has pretty much everything you need for your stay. Recommend bringing your own fan If you like to sleep with one.

Second time staying at this cozy cabin to visit family & friends. Cabin was cool when we arrived, very peaceful setting to relax on the back deck in the mornings. Minimal traffic on roadway allowing us to walk our dog out front or take the newly built steps in back down to the water. Easy access, host is very responsive. Highly recommend.

Beautiful, peaceful sunsets over the lake and river with migrating waterfowl filling the skies. Located very close to Emiquon National Wildlife and Chautauqua Wildlife Refuge. Owner was very responsive.

It was rustic, but we are rustic people. Very satisfied with the cabin because 3 adults had a whole place to themselves for the price of a motel which may or may not have been disgusting. Could park 6 feet from the front door instead of packing all of our luggage into a motel room. Quiet location but only minutes from a few stores and food. Great communication from the host.

Relaxing short stay

Enjoyed my short stay at the cabin. The Roku TV was great to watch movies on. I almost fell asleep on the couch because it was so comfortable! A very relaxing stay, I am looking forward to going back!

We had a wonderful stay! The water pressure was good in the shower, plenty of hot water. The AC worked great and kept us cool with hot 90 temps. The smart TV with movies gave us entertainment during the heat of the afternoon. The view from the deck was nice. We enjoyed relaxing at this VRBO.
Peaceful views of the water and wildlife.

Cabin was very cozy. Loved the rustic charm and beautiful view of the lake from the living room or the deck. Quick, easy access to town to get provisions, shop and eat out. Quick response from owner to general questions. Highly recommend and plan to return next year!

Pheasant Hunt

Came up North to pheasant hunt with my friend and my son, along with a pack of bird dogs. The cabin was perfect. Great location, beautiful view, and just the right size. We take this trip every year, and will most definitely stay here again.

Short getaway

It was a great stay, not too far from home. Enjoyed sitting out on deck in shade. Short family getaway. Went night fishing because of the heat. Great sights to see, Asian carp jumping, gar rolling on the water, starry nights. Relaxing and family time was our main focus. Host was Great!

Satisfied Goose Chaser

I visited to seek out the migratory birds in the area along the river and at the local wildlife refuges. This place was the perfect location! On top of that, the bed was comfy, the kitchen had everything I needed (even though I kept bumping my head on the hanging pots and pans - my fault), and the view out towards the river was incredible. Will definitely be staying here again the next time I make a trip to the area!

Short getaway

We chose this location because of the wildlife refuges in the area. I am an amateur photographer and heard about the snow geese migration at Emiquon National Wildlife Refuge and wanted to photograph it. The weather wasn’t real cooperative, but it was a great trip in spite of the cold and windy conditions. The cabin fit our needs perfectly. Would definitely stay again.

A get away on the water

A get away on the water.. house was nice but smelled very moldy on first entering. A/C worked well. The top floor bedrooms were too hot to use. The bedspread was stained on one. The house was stocked with everything we needed to cook. 2 out of 3 of us slipped on the broken steps to the lake. I contacted Poison and am still miserable with it. That’s the worst part. I think for the price the outside could be kept better. No poison for sure. We enjoyed our stay. But at 145 a night it’s too much . The weeds block the view from the top and second patio. A beautiful storm blew in but the windows don’t open to enjoy the wind. Rustic does not have to mean unkept. The supplies were nice in case we forgot something. Thank you
