LOOK NO FURTHER - this is your home away from home

Professionally decorated, in one of the most sought after neighborhoods in DC. Easy access to everything, on a very quiet street in Georgetown. This street level unit is only used for corporate rental or short term stays. Hardwood floors, full service kitchen with dishwasher, cooktop and full size oven, workable wood burning fireplace are just a few of the features of this classy mid century style unit. Should this place not be available, the upper unit of this two story house is also on airbnb.
The space
This historic home has been completely remodeled with all the modern amenities. Listed in one of the safest and quietest streets in DC, you are just minutes away from all the shops and nightlife!
Guest access
Towels, fresh imported lines or flanel sheets, depending on the season, feather duvet and shampoo and conditioner are ready for you upon arrival. During winter, we normally provide logs as well for the fireplace when available. This unit also has a full range of TV channels , including a sport package and high speed internet.

I arrived at night. It was quite dark. I had difficulty finding a light when I initially entered. It is a beautiful, historic apartment. That said, the floors were quite creaky (old world charm) and I could hear the people staying above me walking and talking. Great location - easy to get to M Street and Wisconsin. A little further from Georgetown University and I put in a lot of miles. Accommodations were well appointed and a full kitchen would be a plus for a longer stay. I would stay here and would recommend the place to others. Very, very nice!

Excellent location in Georgetown

This location could not be better for a stay in Georgetown. I stayed for a week and walked to cafes, shops, parks, historic sites, Georgetown University. The place is well stocked and comfortable and the neighborhood is quiet and welcoming.

Spacious apartment with a comfortable bed and a very nice, modern shower. The apartment was clean, quiet and in a safe neighborhood. Parking was free (upon registering on ParkDC) easy to find. The apartment check-in, etc information was on VRBO instead of Orbitz and for some reason I couldn’t access the check in information although I have a VRBO account. The check in was the only hiccup in a very pleasant stay.

This apartment is extremely well appointed and is in a very convenient location in the upper part of Georgetown; perfect for a combination of work and vacation!It has very fast Internet for video calls. During a heat wave, the central A/C worked to keep things very cool (it stays slightly warmer in the bedroom, so consider setting the temperature cooler when you sleep). There was plenty of closet space and a dresser for clothes. The shower pressure was wonderful, and having a washer/dryer was handy. The small fridge, microwave, stove top, and dishwasher, along with kitchenware made it easy to have meals at home. But within a 10 min walk, there are eat-in and quick service restaurants, bakeries, and coffee shops for dining out.It is also about a 20 min walk to the grocery stores in Foggy Bottom/Glover Park. The shady Dumbarton Oaks Park is only a block away (connecting to the Rock Creek Trail for running), and it is a short walk to the public pool at Volta Park, the Georgetown Public Library at the top of Book Hill, and a 20 minute walk to Georgetown campus which has several nice spots to work. Walk to Wisconsin Avenue or foggy bottom for transit into DC.The host was very communicative and responsive, especially with regard to check in, check out, and setting up the free street parking (you should set this up a few days before you arrive; it was always relatively easy to find a spot on the street near the house!).I would gladly stay again.

Clean Property with All the Essentials

It was clean, and had everything we needed for a short stay. Communication with the host was excellent. The fridge was a bit small for our needs. Nonetheless, it didn't detract from our overall experience. We recommend for anyone looking to be in the heart of Georgetown!
