Our lodge is one of the most unique custom built homes in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The unique features throughout the lodge display the creativity and fine craftsmanship that went into the construction. I hope you find that these features only add to the adventure and enjoyment of your travel experience.

The most notable features of the lodge are the exterior wishbone log structure, the interior log beams, up-lighting and uniquely designed curved walls and custom ironwork. The lodge also provides an incredible amount of off-road parking expansive enough for large trailers. These features set this cabin apart from others in the area and can only be truly appreciated in person!

The location of the lodge makes it convenient for you to enjoy year-round activities. For those who want to see the sites, you are within one hour or less of several national and state parks/monuments along with a wide variety of tourist destinations. If you'd rather stay local, you can either enjoy the comforts of the lodge and its great views or simply head outside! You are right next to the Mickelson Trail, ATV trails and Lead Country Club in the warmer months and practically next door to Deer Mountain and Terry Peak for skiing, tubing and snowmobiling in the winter months. A short drive to local towns like Lead, Deadwood and Sturgis provide year round entertainment venues, casinos and restaurants. Whatever your travel plans may be, I know that you will find this lodge to be interesting, convenient and relaxing.

Great experience

We stayed here for the location to Terry Peak. Our 4 daughters aged 9-2 all loved this place. Communication with the owner of this facility was excellent and overall cleanliness was great! Would definitely stay here again if we come back to the area!

Nice place

Overall decent place, could use some more furniture to sit on in the main living area and nicer kitchen ware such as knifes and pots and pans, dryer didn’t work, overall not super impressed but worked fine.

Early Thanksgiving

Spite some minor issues, the owner was amazing and great to deal with. The home was beautiful 😍 cozy and we all slept like a rock. Definitely coming back next year.

Adult Family Get Away

We loved this house. We had our 24 year old daughter with us. Her friends came to visit. There are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Plenty of room for a large group. The hot tub on the deck as a great plus!

Amazing!!

It was the best place to stay! Great location and AWESOME atmosphere! We enjoyed it so much! It’s quiet and peaceful! We spent our evenings relaxing in the hot tub after a long day of sight seeing. I have nothing bad to say we will be back again and again!!

Peaceful and beautiful retreat

This home is so comfortable and inviting! Our family enjoyed our stay. It felt like we were in the middle of the woods, but the sights and activities are all so close. The hosts were very responsive to all of our questions and very accomodating.

Golf weekend get away

Peaceful setting and beautiful view for a golf weekend. Home was prefect for the four of us. Close to golf courses, restaurants and sightseeing. Would come back again.

The pictures do not do this house justice! It’s absolutely gorgeous inside & out. It’s well kept & very clean. It had all the amenities we were looking for & the owner is very attentive. Great to work with. We had a wonderful time & would 100 percent recommend to anyone looking in this area!

Cozy In the Woods

Great property to stay. So nice to have a place to go back to after a day of site seeing that was nice and quiet. We were able to relax on the deck and in the hot tub. Perfect place for our family. Great communication with the host and the property had everything we needed for our stay.

Fun winter getaway

Beautiful cabin, loved the architectural elements. Great location, and the driveway makes for fun sledding for the kids. Great communication, and the resort across the road was a pleasant surprise.

We had the best time in the Black Hills. This was convienent to all of the sites in the Black Hills. Great for large families of 6 or more.

Nice place but no storage.

Good place to stay. Only a couple of suggestions: There isn’t a bedroom closet in the place to hang clothes. So if you bring hanging clothes bring a portable clothes rack. Also they don’t supply the Wi-Fi password or other house instructions in a “book”, that would be nice. There is only one house key, a keyless door lock would make life easier. We just put one person in charge of the key. We really enjoyed the hot tub. The view was fantastic and the location is superb for what we want. Nice quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was a great gathering space for all of us. We will definitely book it again!

Amazing & Unique

The wishbone cabin is definitely on its own level. The architecture that went into this is truly amazing. From the inside to the outside is absolutely beautiful. Cozy lower level with a Foosball table, bar and sitting area was great to keep the kids entertained.. The kitchen was amazing as we cooked are meals at the cabin and it had everything we needed.. The beds were comfortable and 3 bathrooms was very handy. We slept in the loft and waking up to the beautiful black hills was a great sight to see through the windows. After a long day on the slopes the hot tub was magical... Will definitely try and stay here again. I spoke with Shawan several times throughout our stay and he was very prompt and accommodating to our questions.. Great Host!!!

Wonderful stay in the hills

The pictures do not do this place justice. My family had 10 people and a four month old staying in the cabin. There was plenty of room for us all. The kitchen was easy to cook in and the bar gave enough room for everyone to gather round. The hot tub was amazing on a cold winter night. My only complaints would be that there was no way to hook up music to the speaker downstairs. We ended up having someone bring a speaker up with them so we could listen to music. Additionally, the trashcan outside was full before we got there so we had to haul our trash out with us. Other than that the cabin was beautiful and it was a perfect stay for us. If you are getting a shuttle to deadwood, make sure to request it for a time before you need to be there. We said 3:30 and they didn't show up until 4:30. Not a big deal for the crowd we were with. I would definitely stay here again.

description of property should be better

The house is beautiful and would make a great place for the fall or winter not so much for a summer stay. I understand I should have read the amenities closely. This house does not have air conditioning and it was 86 degrees at 11pm and 81 at 8 am in the loft making it unbearable to sleep up there even with fans blowing on you. the two exhaust fans over the loft shower were not working which would have helped getting the hot air out of the loft. The two large doors opening to the deck are great and let in cooler air in the evenings but there are no screens on them so if left open they also let all the bugs and flys in too so we were trying to cool the place down with just windows which didn't work very well. the bedroom on the main floor only got down to 76-78 over night. This house also does not have wifi. Must be the last house in the USA without it. I know these are things not listed in the amenities but he should be more direct and put this in his description. Also he doesn't state anywhere that there is a 1/4 mile of gravel road leading to this house. no big deal in a car but he knew we were three couples coming in for Sturgis bike week with bikes in a trailer one of the bikes went down going over a speed bump in the gravel road. He should have told us or stated in his description it was on a gravel road. overall just disappointed especially paying the elevated prices because of bike week they should be more upfront and honest in the description
