Our largest cabin—made for gathering, games, and group stays.

Deer Cabin is one of five modern cabins at Orange Tractor Retreat, set within 40 wooded acres above the Wisconsin River. Deer is our largest space—ideal for families and small groups—with room to spread out, gather, and enjoy time together. What makes Deer unique is its larger floor plan: two main level queen bedrooms and two bathrooms, plus twin bunks upstairs next to the foosball table to challenge the family!

Step onto your private patio complete with Adirondack chairs, a Solo Stove fire pit (with firewood), picnic table, and a gas grill that invites you to settle in and enjoy the peace. Sunrise coffee and evening wine both feel right at home here.

Inside, the cabin is fully equipped with quality linens and towels, a walk-in shower, stocked kitchen, coffee and tea, and a smart TV. Wi-Fi and a workspace are also available if you need to stay connected.

Dogs are welcome, with durable flooring, a comfortable dog bed, and on-site trails with waste stations.

After booking, we’ll share our curated guide to the area—favorite supper clubs, restaurants, hiking spots, and local gems—so you can enjoy both the energy of the Dells and the peaceful escape of Orange Tractor Retreat.

Quiet hours are from 10:00 pm to 8:00 am. You’re welcome to continue enjoying the cabin and outdoor spaces during this time—just with a lower volume and respect for the peaceful setting.

Great stay

We had a sisters weekend at the cabin and it was was wonderful. The cabin was very clean and the communication from the host was very helpful. I would definitely stay again

Thank you for your wonderful review! When we found the property that became Orange Tractor Retreat, we thought it was a special place to visit, too. The 40 acres, has a lot of space to stretch out and breathe in the fresh air.

Loved this place

This is the perfect place for people who want to take their dogs with them on vacation. They have a beautiful walking trail with a deck that overlooks the river valley. The house is set back nicely in the woods so it's nice and peaceful away from all the hustle and bustle of wis Dells. Anytime we needed anything the owners were very fast to respond and accommodate. I would highly recommend staying here.

So cute and cozy!

Very well-appointed rental. We loved the privacy and the cleanliness of the cabin. Beds are very comfortable. Kitchen and bathrooms have everything needed. I will gladly recommend Orange Tractir Retreat.

Best Cabin!

I’ve stayed in many other cabins before but this one has been the best so far! I fell in love with the decoration, cleanliness, everything. The host was very accommodating from the start. I strongly recommend it and will definitely book again!!

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay! The cabin was adorable, very clean, modern, and they pack a lot into the small space so we had everything we could possibly need for our family of 4 and even extras for our dog. Communication was top notch, with a detailed booklet of local recommendations, very fast response time, and genuine friendliness and interest in making our trip great. The fire pit was perfect. The surrounding woods were quiet and serene with walking trails. Make sure you pack tick repellent if you plan to go further into the woods (the cabin and surrounding areas seemed to be fine and treated!). The location was far enough out to feel private and quiet, but close enough to easily pop over to shops or dining. We enjoyed everything about our trip!

Founded in 2019, Orange Tractor Retreat is a family run business. We’re two married couples, managing the next phase of our lives as our kids all head to college and leave us as empty-nesters. We built the Orange Tractor Retreat for people who love the smell of pine, enjoy watching eagles, the quiet, calm interaction with nature and for those who love the fun and excitement of the central Wisconsin/Dells area. Our cabins were built to be the home base for all that you want to experience in the Dells. We've been personally involved in every aspect of Orange Tractor Retreat. Beginning with rescuing our namesake - a 1961 Allis Chalmers tractor left over on the property when we purchased it. We’ve rehabilitated the forest, marked the paths, decided on cabin placement based on the trees, designed and furnished the cabins… and everything in between. We have big plans for OTR, and we hope you’ll join us in our journey!

The home of our Deer Cabin is a 40 acre old growth forest, appreciated for its lovely, fresh-scented pines, red and white oaks. We know that nature lovers, couples, families, remote workers (and their dogs!) will find what they need at Deer. Stay inside and enjoy the expansive windows and sliding doors as you view the outside, cook and serve in the full size kitchen with island and then relax on the comfortable couch while you stay cozy with the gas fire place. Go outside and enjoy access to your own private patio with fire pit and gas grill and then head out to walk our trails and find yourself at the amazing Wisconsin River for the most beautiful sunset, during any season!

Our Deer Cabin is a cute, comfy, modern “glam-ping” retreat that seamlessly connects the appreciation of nature to the comforts and convenience of home. 2 bedrooms with queen beds on the main floor offers beautiful views of the forest and guests will appreciate the amazing, modern showers and lighted mirrors in the bathrooms. The connected kitchen, island with seating and lovely main space are perfect for a nice evening in. Go up the custom made ships ladder to the 2nd floor loft with twin bunkbeds for 4 people, along with a large desk for our remote workers. Guest needs are met with coffee and basic spices in the kitchen; Standard Textile commercial towels and sheets, and Public Goods shampoo, conditioner and bath wash are ready for you. So, go out and enjoy the grounds, and/or explore the good food, fun bar scene, shops, wineries and excitement of the Wisconsin Dells! The Deer Cabin will be your calm home base when visiting the Dells!
