Nestled on a lush one-acre estate, our retreat offers a serene and secluded oasis. Centrally located to top beaches, ATV adventures, golf courses, horseback rides, epic hiking trails, zipline adventures, renowned surf spots, and snorkeling destinations, this is the perfect base for a truly unforgettable vacation. Conveniently located 2 minutes from the nearest beach, a large grocery store, and numerous food trucks featuring a variety of cuisines.

This ground-level retreat features a private entrance and parking. Soak in the serene country living experience as you pick fresh tropical fruit from our trees, including mango, lychee, and avocado. Perfect for couples or families, featuring a fully equipped kitchen and an outdoor seating area. The large bedroom boasts a California King bed and a Queen Bed separated by a room divider, each beneath ceiling fans to keep you cool at night. The bathroom includes double sinks and a standing shower, with an outdoor shower nearby, ideal for rinsing off after a day at the beach. A private washer and dryer are designated for exclusively for your laundry needs during your stay.

While staying with us, enjoy our tree swing, pick fresh citrus, and immerse yourself in the soothing sounds of nature. Be prepared to awaken to the melodious calls of birds, wild chickens, and neighboring animals. At our retreat, we offer a personal touch and a warm welcome to all our guests. We reside in a house nearby and are available 24/7 to address any questions or concerns. Although cell reception can be spotty, texting is an efficient way to reach us. Feel free to explore the property and make yourself at home! Come unwind and disconnect in our peaceful oasis. We would be delighted to host you and ensure you have an unforgettable stay on Oahu's North Shore!

NOTE:

* A vehicle is recommended as this property is uphill from the ocean, situated in cooler weather.

* The North Shore is one of the best places on Oahu to find untamed Hawaii as nature created it. The flora and fauna native to our ecosystem are a part of its splendor. In addition to the brightly colored tropical fish, on land you can anticipate seeing houseplants the size of houses, wild chickens & roosters roaming around, adorable geckos, tropical birds and the full menagerie of insects that sustain them ... some rare and beautiful (ex. Kamehameha butterflies) and others are decidedly less so. We will always have a clean and well-kept place for you that includes routine pest control, but please be advised that little visitors are not uncommon, esp. if you decide to attract them with unattended food.

* Our inventory of beach & sports gear is constantly changing as things get added or replaced. Such is the nature of outdoor "toys." It will always look similar to what you see pictured but may not be EXACTLY the same. Feel free to inquire about anything specific you've seen in our photos and we'll let you know of any changes.

* We live on the property and you may encounter our children playing in the yard.

* Please note that pricing and availability is subject to change and bookings are not guaranteed until a contract is confirmed. We are committed to making your booking experience as easy as possible.

* We have partnered with a provider of optional travel insurance, including a "cancel for any reason" option, if you need it. It's available for purchase after booking if the check-in date is at least 30 days away.

* Where applicable, the 3% per-transaction payment processing fee is non-refundable.

Best on the North Shore!

Righteous place and hosts! Beautiful Island style stay, away from the main road yet close to everywhere. Great tips, suggestions and directions from our hosts who are so full of Aloha. A really comfy guest house, fully equipped and very secure. So much better than the pricey resort up the road. We would love to come again!!

Beautiful spot in a great location

Beautiful spot with everything you need for a great stay. We had 5 nights here and really enjoyed staying on the North Shore. This place is a good location to everything out that way. Hosts are amazing, really friendly and very helpful.

Incredible property

My experience with vacation rentals is they appear better on line than they actually are. This one was completely opposite. I was thrilled with the home. Even better than what I expected. THANK YOU!!

Wished we stayed longer!

Although we only stayed one night, this place was a perfect end to our days in Hawaii. It was calm, beautiful, and the family we met was very kind. Our only complaint is that we didn’t book more days. I would highly recommend this place.

Wonderful stay

My wife, 2 1/2 year old, and myself enjoyed our stay on the north shore. Mara and the family are wonderful hosts. Beautiful property grounds and a nice space. Our son really enjoyed all the grassy areas to run around as well as the bucket of toys they had at the house. The king size bed was comfy and would recommend as an ideal spot on the north shore. I like trail running so it was great being close to the trails above sunset. The proximity of the place is really great for the Northshore, as you are close to so many great things. Highlights for us would be the Dole plantation train ride with our son, Sharks cove, Elephant Thai food truck, 7 brothers burgers, and the beautiful surrounds of the Puo Pono Paradise. Would strongly recommend.

Super helpful hosts!

This place was beyond amazing! The location, the house, the fresh fruit eaten right off the trees…I couldn’t emphasize enough how much we loved it! And even when our rental car had some mechanical quirks, they offered assistance right away! Top notch and we would stay there possibly forever!

Review for Pua Pono Paradise

The host was super helpful and friendly. Her recommendations for restaurants and beaches were priceless, especially for those who have never been to the north shore. Grocery store (with the best poke!) and beaches with great snorkeling are within a very short drive away. Even though there is no air conditioning, the constant breeze kept the place comfortable all day and night.

Super cool home!

This place was PERFECT for my husband and I’s honeymoon! Easy to find, lots to do in the near by area, and great place to stay! Loved being able to walk around the property, grab fresh fruits, and lay out on the hammock listening to the birds in the morning!

Amazing time with the family

My family and I absolutely loved our stay here on the North Shore. The house was clean, private, on a beautiful piece of property and minutes away from many of the North Shore’s best destinations. The hosts were friendly, responsive and made our stay exceptionally welcoming. I would stay here again in a heartbeat and already can’t wait to return. Thanks for making our family vacation so wonderful.

Loved it!

Of all the available rental options on the north shore, this turned out to be the best. Located in a really central location that’s not too far from any of the main snorkelling spots or the town of Haleiwa the location is perfect. Staying above the beach in the rainforest was really beautiful, and being able to find and eat fruit right off the ground was a really nice surprise. The hosts were very friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. Next time I’m traveling to the north shore I’ll definitely try to stay here again!

My family and I had the best time ever!

I truly loved staying here with my two young children, 8yrs old and 2yrs old. The open spacious, safe yard with toys and a swing was clutch! Her children are so sweet and friendly my son practically was calling them his cousins. The location is very ideal with the perfect family friendly beach right down the road. Full kitchen was ideal for me to maximize our time and money. Grocery store down the road with a coffee shop. I will absolutely love to come back and stay again. Mahalo! God bless!

Cute place

We were pleasantly surprised by the home. The surrounding area outside is incredible. Our kids played outside and used the swing often. The beds were comfortable. I was worried about having no a/c, but the fans and breeze kept the house cool. Having Foodland down the street is great. The beaches on the north shore are our favorite! This place was the perfect size for me, my husband, and two kids!

Total Paradise!

We loved our stay here! The property is absolutely beautiful and serene. Perfect place for up to 4 people. The neighborhood is beautiful and we enjoyed running with our morning coffee. A short drive down the hill to town and the best of the north shore. We would definitely stay again.

Amazing location

Great stay, amazing location right near sharks cove, Waimea bay, pipeline, etc. The host introduced herself as we checked in and explored the property, and she was so nice and thankful for our stay. Her check-in book provided great info and, The property is so peaceful, and although there is no A/C, she provided plenty of fans, and the temperature drop at night with some rain made it great sleeping conditions. Huge plus for 4 beach chairs, beach towels and a cooler to use while there. Would def stay again!

We absolutely loved it here!

Staying at Mara’s home was truly one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had. Bria and the team are very proactive with outreach, and provide very clear instructions prior to check-in. This home is a dream: nestled on a gorgeous lot full of every kind of fruit and plant you can imagine. It’s about a 3 minute drive down the hill to Shark’s Cove and a steal of a price on the North Shore of Oahu for the location. We stayed a few days in Honolulu in a hotel, and ended our trip on Oahu here for five days and I’m so glad we did. Definitely take advantage of the places Mara recommends; we ate at such delicious restaurants and cafes and also spent a half day at a local beach nestled in a residential area (away from tourists) full of the most beautiful sea turtles (thank you Mara). This place is tranquil, peaceful and definitely 11 stars out of 10. We will definitely stay here again when we visit Oahu. Mahalo for such an amazing place to call home while we were on the island!
