Huge property with plenty of amenities. We availed ourselves of the hot tub, sauna, canoe and paddleboards. Modern kitchen with dishwasher. Stunning views of Cashel Lake out of many windows. Wrap around deck a big hit. Nicely furnished.

Great Place

Our group had an amazing stay at this cottage! The place itself was absolutely beautiful—well-kept, cozy, and perfect for a relaxing getaway. The location was ideal, offering a peaceful and private retreat. Communication with the host was excellent—they were friendly, responsive, and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely return!

Fantastic

This property was incredible! It checked off all of our boxes, and even the boxes we didn't anticipate. I would definitely recommend this property to others, and I would stay there again next time I'm in the area.

Annual Family Vacation

We were a party of 4 families totaling 13 people. We stayed at the cottage the 3rd week in June. The cottage is very clean and comfy with enough room for everybody. The A-Frame was a pleasant surprise. A pretty cool place to stay. The cottage is on a beautiful lake with crystal clear water. It was wonderful to just sit outside on the cottage deck, dock or beach to take in the beautiful views. We thoroughly enjoyed the water activities; canoeing, kayaking and swimming. The younger kids really enjoyed the beach. The fishing was pretty good too. It was a great experience for all and we would consider coming back next year for sure.

Great place

Beautiful cottage with lots of room. Great communication between myself and owner. Very easy to deal with. If someone says otherwise it’s really just that person. Place was clean. Highly recommend Would definitely stay again. Maybe in the summer this time.

Family outing

Nice and private...no really close neighbour's...beautiful lake...fun to canceled and kyak...nice spot for family time...

Great View Quiet Location

We stay at this property in sept, there were 13 adults age 35+ . The space was big which gave us sufficient space to move around. The place looks nicer than the picture, and the view was amazing. I love the fact that the owner use glass railing on the porch which allows us to enjoy the view and protect from wind. We love the indoor hot tub which was great as it rained during our stay. Pros:. the view. the space. I like that they had 2 fridges which can store a weeks worth of food. In most cases they have most of the kitchen item to cook and clean. Need a few more wine glass but otherwise, everything is there. Cons: Lots of rules to follow. 5 page document and a booklet of rules to read upon arrival. Completely understand where the owner is coming from as it is their home and need to respect their property. Parking says 5 cars max, but driveway can have one or two more without parking on grass. No flex on check in time. We arrive 30 mins early and was told we can't go in until check in time and can't even sit by the lake., so that was a little strict. Overall, even with all the rules, if you follow them, its is great stay

The welcome package you were sent is lengthy as it is not just a list of rules but important information for you to help make your stay more enjoyable such as boat launch location, shopping information, hot tub and sauna operation info, fuse box, and water pump location, if needed, etc. Unfortunately, check-in time is set by the cleaning and ground-keeping staff based on their estimate to get things ready for your arrival.

Exceeded our expectations!

Spacious and well-kept home with spectacular views of the lake. Beach with clear warm water for the whole family to enjoy. Would love to stay here again.

Some pros and some cons, which impact value and enjoyment

Pros: (i) Great location from the GTA; (ii) property is beautiful; (iii) the cottage is a little worn but suited to a family gathering. Cons: (i) Many basic things for a cottage of this price point aren't included and which are difficult to manage with a large family (bring your own sheets, pillows, life jackets, etc.); (ii) owner expects you to abide by rules that are numerous and that make the visit cumbersome (e.g., owner wants you to remove the trash, but there is no dump that is open); (iii) owner communicates only by email and isn't helpful (won't speak live to address common issues and main response is "read the fine print").

Thank you for your feedback. To address, the specific concerns from the guest… The guest was provided with all the information regarding linens prior to booking. The owner was willing to connect the guest with a linen service however, the guest did not chose this option insisting they felt entitled to the owner providing them these items. Waste disposal information dates, times, and locations were provided in the directions sent to the guest prior to his arrival, available in the welcome binder in the cottage, as well as clearly posted on the front of the cottage bulletin board in the kitchen, and, if needed, easily found online. The guest was told repeatedly that they could not leave garbage behind and that all garbage had to be placed in the tagged bags provided for him. Regrettably, the guest did not take any of his garbage or recycling to the dump, instead leaving it all behind and did not use the tagged bags. The cleaners informed the guest they would remove all his garbage for a fee to cover their time and costs, but the guest did not pay this. The cleaning report after his rental was not favourable and the additional charges incurred were covered by rental management company. The cottage owners provided their personal cell numbers asking for the guest to call or text with any concerns, but he did not do this. Any email from the guest was responded to immediately. The information was not fine print but clearly stated. Unfortunately, the guest chose to ignore the information that was provided to him.

Amazing Cottage, Views and Property

Very spacious cottage with everything you might need. Well equipped kitchen, multiple fridges and two working fireplaces. The cottage was great for a winter getaway and the roads/driveway were always cleared. Will definitely be back!

Amazing property. Amazing property management. What else can I say? Look at the pictures, it matches what you will find here. Dave the owner is well versed is making sure you are covered for everything you need from them. We hope to get back asap.

Amazing Place! - We will be renting it again!

We had so much fun at this place. Everything about it was perfect. From the sauna room to the pool table room and everything in between. The place was perfect. Would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends.

Amazing Property!

Had an amazing time. This property is so amazing and there's just so much to do. The cottage itself is a lot bigger and nicer then the pictures show. Be prepared to have your mind blown! Will definitely be renting this place again.
