Calm escape in historical athmosphere - Villa Giulietta Budapest, free parking
The Villa Giulietta Budapest is over 100 years old and is located in a unique part of the suburbs of Budapest. In 1890, wealthy citizens living in the city centre created Ómátyásföld, where villas had been built under strict rules and used as summer residences close to the city centre.
Villa Giulietta Budapest is one of these villas. The first owner was a wealthy horse dealer of Italian origin who built the property primarily for his daughter. The name Villa Giulietta is a tribute to them.
The villa was hit during the Second World War, and traces of the hit can still be seen on the roof of the building. The interior layout is as it was originally, which has been completely renovated a few years ago.
The kitchen is equipped with everything you need, just like in your own home. The furnishings are period, with antique furniture to give a peaceful atmosphere. In the winter terrace of the villa there is a Monarchy period piano from Vienna which is used for occasional house concerts.
Villa Giulietta Budapest welcomes all those who value originality in furnishings, a peaceful, noise-free holiday and quiet relaxation, but still within easy reach of the city centre.
From Villa Giulietta Budapest, you can take a pleasant walk along a stream bank to the Naplás lake in the nature reserve. Next to the Naplás lake there is a small forest, in the middle of which there is a beautiful lookout to all of Budapest and the surrounding hills and mountains.
The promenade is almost 10 km long, and nice street food awaits hikers at both ends.
The swimming pool, beach, soccer field, tennis court, running track, theater and a nice park are within a 5-minute walking distance from the Villa, as well as numerous confectioneries, bakeries, grocery stores, greengrocers, pizzerias, and restaurants are also within walking distance. The bus-stop and the suburbian train station that takes you to the city center is a 5-minute walk away.
The airport is 20 minutes away by car.

Property is a beautiful spacious villa in a nice peaceful area of Budapest with excellent transport links to city centre and airport. A few nice places to eat locally and really well equipped kitchen if cooking in villa with a Lidl within 15 mins walk. Julia and Greg are excellent hosts with lots of helpful tips to enjoy Budapest and locality and they instantly resolved any queries we had in respect to the property or city. We were a family of 6 - Villa had lots of indoor and outdoor space for us to come together and also enjoy some space apart as well. Lots of sun loungers and outside tables with parasols to sit and play games, eat or chill out in the garden. We went to sziget festival for 3 days which was also easy to reach with public transport or taxis - quiet villa was really welcomed after 3 full on days at festival. Would highly recommend particularly if you want a big space, with good facilities and lots of room for the whole family where you are happy to have a chill space away from the hustle and bustle of city centre . 2 x Local community swimming pools were good a d reasonably priced and could be accessed easily by walking (10 and 20 mins walk). Would recommend the local pizzeria for good pizza and pasta. Hosts excellent and made us feel really welcome. Some lovely personal touches like Hungarian home made bread, fruit, sparkling and still water and a nice bottle of white wine to arrive to. Would definitely return if travelling to Budapest again

Die Gastgeber waren super nett und hilfsbereit. Das Haus super sauber und so schön 🥰 Wir waren 7 Personen und haben es sehr genossen und würden jederzeit wieder kommen

Wir waren mit zwei Familien und vier Kindern im Alter von 10 bis 14 Jahren in der Villa Giulietta Budapest – und absolut begeistert! Die Villa ist ein wunderschöner Altbau mit viel Charme und liebevollen Details. Die Ausstattung ist hervorragend – besonders die Küche ist so gut ausgestattet, dass man sich sofort wie zu Hause fühlt.Der große Garten lädt zum Entspannen ein, bietet aber auch genug Platz für die Kinder zum Spielen. In der Nähe gibt es einen idyllischen See , den man wunderbar zu Fuß erreichen kann – perfekt zum Spazieren oder Joggen.Die Lage ist ideal: In nur etwa 30 Minuten erreicht man mit öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln die Innenstadt von Budapest – ganz ohne Stress und Parkplatzsuche. Das Auto konnten wir die ganze Zeit stehen lassen und die Stadt entspannt erkunden.Ein großes Dankeschön an die Vermieterin – sie war ausgesprochen freundlich, sehr hilfsbereit und hatte tolle Tipps für Ausflüge und Restaurants.Insgesamt eine perfekte Kombination aus ruhigem Rückzugsort und guter Anbindung – sehr empfehlenswert für Familien!
