Located in the "Heart-of-the-Hills" near Hill City, SD, Timber Ridge Lodge consists of a main house and separate bunk house sleeping 16 in beds with a capacity of 16 all situated on 7+ acres with a large outdoor grassy yard boasting a sand volleyball court and sand horseshoe pits. The home enjoys two covered porches overlooking a mountain stream winding through the property all surrounded by Forest Service, close to Mt. Rushmore, Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, and Mickelson Trail.

Timber Ridge Lodge is an authentic hand-hewn log home with separate guest log-cabin. There are a total of 6 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms. The main lodge has 3 guest bedrooms, 1 master suite, and 3.5 bathrooms along with the luxury of 3 slate rock gas fireplaces (one of which is in the master suite!) The bunk house has 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom.

The lodge has two, large covered porches with plenty of outdoor seating so you can enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and wildlife at dusk. A gas grill and fully furnished kitchen makes dining a breeze. Flat screen TV's and leather furniture make for a lodge like feel.

Great location for the Black Hills. Close to Custer State Park, Crazy Horse, Rushmore and Mickelson Trail. Country setting so expect wildlife visitors- lots of deer. Well stocked with linens, well equipped kitchen.

We enjoyed our stay very much! The area was perfect for us and so quiet. The house was a perfect size for our group. We loved how the location was so close to Hill City. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed as we like to cook.The weather was perfect for Sept. Would definetly recommend to family groups and 4 wheelers and hikers.

Excellent property that allowed a group of “seasoned” adults to enjoy the Black Hills with all the needed facilities to kick back in comfort. Stocked kitchen and grill allowed our creative “chefs” to surprise our palettes, corn hole to keep the competitive juices flowing, and two viewing rooms to watch our favorite FB teams. And when some “me time” is needed, plenty of space and facilities are available. We will be back again next year.

We enjoyed our time at this cabin. It was large, roomy, and spacious, giving everyone plenty of space to relax. The cabin was clean and well‑kept. The location was convenient and close to town.

This VRBO worked out very well for our family! The kids had fun exploring and we all enjoyed playing games on the large yard in the evenings. We saw a family of deer run across the lawn twice.

Clean property. Plenty of space to stretch out with a large group, including outside space. Location was good- important to note has gravel road up to house that is winding and must be traveled slowly.

Our family stay at Timber Ridge Lodge was very enjoyable. We were a group of 16 with 7 littles under the age 10. Having so much green space for them to run, enjoy and explore during our downtime was just what we needed. The kitchen was very well equipped and having 2 dining areas, 2 living rooms and the guest house made our stay quite comfortable. Our host was very responsive with all communication and check in was very easy. The only downfall was that our daytime temps were quite high and with the only A/C being window units on the lower level (none in the guest house) our bedrooms were quite warm and uncomfortable most nights.

Great vacation spot for our family

Perfect location in the Black Hills region to make day-excursions from. Also perfect location for just hanging out together and allowing the kids to explore and play outside. Thank you for the clean and complete accommodations.

Timber lodge is a wonderful log cabin home that is in the most beautiful setting. The property is everything that is promised except is NOT air conditioned except for 2 small window air conditioners in downstairs windows. Weather was beastly hot so the bedrooms and the bunk house were miserable to sleep. We followed all suggestions to keep everything closed up during the day and open windows at night in the sleeping areas but it never cooled off much. We were 10 older adults so that was not great. But that is the only issue. We would come again in cooler weather

Very nice, spacious property, well stocked with dishes, games, books, etc.. We loved the firepit in the evenings. The guest house was perfect for our parents who can't do stairs. Great close proximity to Hill City!!
