Casa El Barco I a unique designer home in a perfect location on very quiet street, 550 meters to main street, 600-700 to beach!
Newly remodel and refurnished entirely this construction is with high ceilings with a boating theme with totally relaxing mixtures set in a large plush tropical environment with plants fruit trees and boast total privacy, tranquility and serenity.

All bedrooms are fully air conditioned.
The large and completely PRIVATE pool, is totally part of the property.
3 Car parking area.
This unique home in the center of Jaco is of 2 story, the 2nd floor is of the main house with Master bedroom and bathroom with shower / jet tub while the guest bedroom share a full bathroom. Nice huge Kitchen with all equipped appliances are complemented with a 6 people large island. Outdoor partly covered terrace with a 6 people Tek table for evening dinner gives to the boat shaped exactly a s bow!
The main floor as 2 apartment style One with 2 bedrooms a shared bathroom small living room and dining area with a fully loaded small kitchen and the 2nd a 1 bedroom, full bathroom, Small dining area and living room with also a small fully loaded kitchen.

Outside you will find the large terrace by a nice deep pool, 1.5m, with blue light against a fully equipped rancho with BBQ grill, small fridge for refreshments and small ultility sink all set with i nice soft lighting set up for the terrace.
Around the house lost of space and greens with fruit trees.

Great location only a few blocks from uptown Jaco. House was spacious and beds were comfortable. Pool was fantastic and got a lot of use.

Casa El Barco was an amazing compound. Great for my group with 3 separate living areas and some really nice common areas. The owner was super responsive to all questions and was very easy to communicate with. I will return to this place. Zach

Host was excellent with check in and out information. The layout was great for multiple families traveling together. Everyone had private space and could all come together at the pool. The pool was very clean.

Everything was as advertised the pool was a hit
The macaw were out every day break around the house as many as 8 at one time and we seen one that was blue several times
The pool was a great place to hang out mid day and evenings with the outside grill and prep area

The host was amazing and the house layout is very cool. I will most certainly stay there again. Anything you need is within walking distance but we did get a golf cart to get around in and kept it inside the gate. We can't say enough good words about this house and especially the host.

Great location, beautiful pool, and everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host was great very responsive and can assist with a lot of activities. This house is three separate units which turned out to be another positive.

Ocaso festival stay

Love, staying. Here we came, because of the Ocaso festival in the house was great and close to the festival. Also, was close to the convenient store and restaurants.

Premier Location

We throughly enjoyed our stay here. If it was for sale, we would've purchased it and stayed. Robert covered all our needs and was very attentive. This will our first choice when traveling here.

awesome place & even awesome host!!!!

had a great experience staying in this quite neighbor hood yet stone throw away from popular activities. Robert was a great host and always a call away for any help and providing any logistic support to make the stay more comfortable. I would highly recommend the place to everyone looking to explore to Jaco beach

property was not clean & did not seem to be serviced prior to our arrival, ( although the host assured us it was, saying a cleaning team cleaned prior, then days later saying that he cleaned the place himself, very contradicting!) it was an active beehive on deck, also he said the b-room floors looked stained but was cleaning products, we found it to be all dirt when we cleaned ourself. This place had tremendous Cobb Webbs and dead bugs EVERYWHERE. I understand being on an island in these conditions promote insects.. I travel frequently so I understand this… but if a home is just serviced prior to guest arrival the same day it is impossible for it to have that amount of dirt, Cobb webs , and dead bugs EVERYWHERE… we took the liberty of cleaning the whole home OURSELVES which is crazy! ( asked for compensation for this an didn’t even get a reply!) but after WE cleaned the home, the rest of our trip we had NO COBB WEBBS NO NEW DIRT ACCUMULATION AND NO NEW DEAD BUGS! although the host assured us that all these things produce themselves daily because this is how the island is… yet after our cleaning everything was fine !! I have never had this experience before and to be ignored when explaining my experience was crazy. Getting into the property could have been smooth but it was terrible! The keys where all mixed up an in the wrong places so we had to manually figure out which keys go to what door. The location of home was great, walking distance, host was available consistently.

We felt safe and secure throughout our stay. Our host Robert was thorough in providing safety instructions, the place was clean and he was very flexible with us as guest. Thanks Robert for even follow my safety travels back home.

Amazing

Amazing stay. We were skeptical at first due to the property location. But upon arrival everything was in walking distance very private, spacious and secure. Owner met us on location for the walkthrough and demonstration. Very nice guy. We will definitely stay this property for our next visit. Thank you again Sir.

Christmas 2023

We had a great time at Casa de Barco for Christmas! The host was so helpful with everything! We had 3 adults and 3 teenagers and the set up of the house was lerfect for us. It's within walking distrance to town and the beach. Jaco is a cool little town with great resteraunts and bars. All of our excursions picked us up from the house and taxi's are everywhere so I would fargo a rental car.

From arriving to the airport our host Robert was on it. He arrange our transportation from the airport to our Villa. The driver he got was was very professional and went over and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed before he dropped us off at our location. When we arrived at our Villa my group was wowed on how clean and beautiful the property was. It had everything we needed including a full size Fridge with a freezer. Upon arrival Robert checked up on us and made us feel comfortable since it was our first time in Jacó. He ensured us if we needed anything we is reachable. He schedule housekeeping to clean after us on a daily basis of course this was extra but it was very cheap and worth it. Ty Robert for the great hospitality and definitely will be back and will recommend this property. So to anyone looking for a villa in Jaco this is the best place to book.

Very filthy, plenty of issues with the property

Please stay away from this property, when it rained the roof was leaking and flooded the property, the gate to the property was not working so had to manually push open the door and close when ever we had to leave, there was no internet, it says a whole house but actually it is a 3 apartment unit with no connections to each unit, there was no hot water in the showers, lot of roaches in the house/////

To be totally honest to all readers we do recommend and insist to read previous reviews. We feel this is tremendously exaggerated for the only purpose of requesting 2 nights reimbursement out of 4. We did offer a reasonable compensation which was refused still claiming 2 nights which we denied. In the lights of what transpired we already have declined this group of any future rentals. Property was not flooded nor fitly never did in the past ever. we do have pictures of one light droppin a few drops of water form a ceiling light in a corner of the master bedroom. These guest came on a friday late at night and on ending tropical storm which is typical weather at this time of the year in Costa Rica. The main gate wouldn't open electrically but open perfectly manually with very little effort. We were advised of the leak and the internet outage on Saturday morning, we immediately called our internet provider where we got put a on the list and got attended on the sunday, due the volume of calls following the tropical storm. The internet was restored then. The main gate was restore on Sunday and the roof leak addressed as well. Never advised of no hot water... We did everything we could to get things fixed as soon as it was possible and did have all the issues fixed on the Sunday, basically in more or less 24hrs, more or less, from when it was reported to us. This is unfortunate, weather was out of our control but did our very best efforts to resolve all issues.
