Low Altitude, Luxury, Log Home Don't Get Sick on Your Vacation
DON'T RUIN YOUR COLORADO VACATION BECAUSE OF ALTITUDE SICKNESS! Many travelers, like me, come to Colorado from a much lower elevation and have a hard time adjusting to the much thinner air. Many folks get sick or just do not feel well for days until they acclimate. This can ruin your vacation. I know, I owned a home in the Breckenridge Valley for 5 years and every time we came for a visit we would feel lightheaded and could not sleep for days. Many of our friends would get sick, some seriously. We love Colorado, but this was risky for our elderly parents, my brother in law with a heart condition and my Son with lung problems. SO I MOVED to the lowest elevation I could find and still be close to everything. This nice Canadian Log Home is only 8 minutes from the Highway in Silverthorne and still close to everything. Yet the house is full 2400 vertical feet lower than Breckenridge and what a difference! If you have anyone in your group that you are concerned about or just do not want to take the risk I highly recommend staying here, Its not sea level but I can assure you it is the lowest elevation you will find in the area. Greg and Becky DeWind. Small business owners for 30 years with 35 employees. Greg is a jet plane and helicopter pilot for fun and business. Becky is an artist by nature and hobby home decorator for fun. Into horses, snomobiling, sking, scuba diving, musle cars, and much more. Motto is "work hard and play hard".

We are from Michigan and need to get away. We have a house in the Flordia Keys for when we need to warm up and this Log cabin for when we need to get out into nature. The best of both worlds. We still work full time and have kids so we cannot use it more than 4 times a year so we rent it out.
Qué distingue a esta propiedad
This house is located as close to the ski slopes as most of the house south of Breckenridge in upper Blue area BUT it is 2500 vertical feel lower in elevation. For those who have not considered altitude sickness as an option for disrupting your vacation think again!!! The number one cause off illness in the mountains is altitude sickness and you never know who in your group will be susceptible to it. For those with heart conditions it can be downright deadly! Don't take chances with your vacation unless you know for sure you can handle it. For those who don't this house is available and as close to the ski slopes as most. It is a wonderful location with all of the amenities. Just a short scenic dirve up from the valley 8 minutes to the main highway in Silverthorne and just minutes from there to many ski resorts.
