Great family vacation spot

Our family loved this vacation home! It was clean, well stocked kitchen, very responsive property manager. We would love to vacation here again. We loved the pools, fishing pier and many spaces to hangout.

Touch of Paradise

Our family of 11 just returned from Southern Diversion and this was the best property we have ever rented!! Spacious, gorgeous, clean, lovely pools and wonderful beach area for the little ones. Can't forget to thank John, the property manager, for his responsiveness and friendliness throughout our stay. Wonderful!!!!!

Painfully, Beautiful, Wonderful stay!

Beautiful compound and wonderful sunsets with amazing views! This would have been perfect location if the information regarding beds and bathrooms were matched up in away that was meaningful in the listing! While the facilities are functional, age and use have done them no favors. The property manager was very responsive to the plumbing and sewer issues. The pools and hot tubs were very nice but hammock was broken down! Overall our family vacation was wonderful in spite of all of the deficiencies!

Michigan Family Vacation

Our family takes an annual trip together, there were 17 of us this time. The property had something for everyone, best aspects are the sunsets and the infinity pool. The property manager was one of the best we've ever had- very responsive.

Great time

We had a wonderful stay.Property location is excellent.The property manager was very attentive.The views are exceptional and the dock worked perfectly for the boat we rented.Only issue was main room floor was a little “sticky”. I should have called property manager and he would have sent the cleaning crew out . I instead bought a mop and cleaned it myself. Other than that , the house scored a perfect 10.No regrets at all from our large family

I like the separation of the bedrooms. Having the 2 separate sleeping areas are great. Especially when you have a family with younger children.

Beautiful property and location. Clean, however , screened in porch had torn screens which allows bugs in and furniture was in very poor condition.Not stocked at all: only one kitchen towel, no dish rags, no dishwasher detergent, no Kleenex, 4 wine glasses (sleeps 18), dishes and pans in poor condion. Light bulbs out, no sharp knives. Sectional couch in poor condition. Dining table only seated 7.no umbrella for the upper deck.

Beautiful stay

This place was absolutely gorgeous from the first trip up the driveway! Incredible views from dawn till dusk! The multiple pools gave us options throughout the day based on the temperature and sun! The Amenities and capabilities with this property are endless and we were sad we had to leave! The smiles and memories will last a lifetime!

House review

Everything was good. I did feel however the property could have supplied more bath towels and blankets. Also the pools needs some cleaning. There were a lot of bugs. Very buggy. Think you can spray more for that. Other than that the house and view was great!

Just what we were looking for

We were celebrating my wife’s 40th birthday. There were 17 people in our group. Adults and children. Something for everyone to do. We enjoyed relaxing at the property by the pools, fishing from the dock, kayaking and paddle boarding. We went scuba diving with better than most scuba, deep sea fishing on the tail walker. We hired chef Heather for several dinners. It was an amazing trip.

Great spot with spectacular views

The main and side houses easily fit ourselves, our 5 kids and their spouses and 6 grandkids. Big open space. Very private. Nice pools. Lots of things you need on site. Easy to town. Joe the caretaker was attentive. Owner very responsive. Wonderful trip.

Paradise

This property is amazing. It accommodated our family perfectly, we appreciated the three living spaces. The kitchen in the main house is large which allowed many prepping and cooking at the same time. The large pans need to be replaced due to peeling coating, everything else was great. The outside was amazing, such a beautiful estate. The infinity pool and hottub are protected from the wind, so even the tornado high winds didnt stop our fun. It was a vacation to remember, thanks.

Beautiful property!

Beautiful property and worked well for our large group. It was very private and secure. It had a few minor issues , such as we needed more linens for kids who decided to crash on the couch in the big house. Also, the boat ramp was tricky because of how steep it was. We had a few minor plumbing issues too, but the property manager was quick to resolve them. Over all it was a great stay!

Great location/house but time for some updates

This house is the perfect vacation home for a large family. We had three family units including all ages and it was just great for giving us all space to spread out. Joe the property manager was amazing and super responsive. That said, this house is dated and it's time for some updates to bathrooms and appliances and general fixtures. While we were there we had a broken stove, a broken door, a broken shower and the internet in one house never did work (and Joe tirelessly escalated the problem and we had three repairmen come and try to fix it). None of this is essential to a great vacation. And the dock was so fun for our boat rental and the pools were cleaned even while were there so they stayed nice. Just needs a little more TLC than probably the one day turn around allows for each week. But if you have a large family this is the place for you!

Great experience - almost perfect house

Our week at Southern Diversion was very very nice – but not perfect. The buildings and grounds were exceptional. The house was very clean, furniture was in good condition, and the beds were comfortable. Snorkeling was a wonderful experience, the infinity pool was a big favorite, and the Tiki hut was perfect. We had a family group of fifteen people 18 to 85 years old and everyone enjoyed the week immensely. The not-so-perfect issues were lack of bathrooms and shortage of dining table space. Note that people using the Casita will not have a bathroom of their own - they have to go into the main house and use a bathroom there. The guest house has two shared bathrooms for three bedrooms (beds for 9 people) – not horrible, but certainly not up to standard for this price range. The dining area has one table with 10 chairs – not really sufficient for a large group that likes to eat together. We knew this from the website info and were able to move a table and chairs from the porch into the dining area. That worked reasonably well – but certainly not perfect. Access to Key West was good – about 1 hr 15 min drive and nearby activities were plentiful. Boat rental and fishing charters were readily available in Marathon along with a large variety of restaurants and good shopping. We had a wonderful week and would happily return in future.

Best Wedding and Vacation!

My now husband and I decided to finally get married after 10 years together and knew we wanted a small intimate destination wedding. We've visited the keys a few times and fell in love. I knew I wanted a place that was just ours and could accommodate everyone that was coming down. We thought we wanted to be in Islamorada and saw another property there that Kevin owned but since it was October it was already book for the week we wanted in December. He was quick to respond and sent us links to his two other properties. This one in Marathon and one in Key Largo. I knew that I didn't want to be in Key Largo and I knew nothing about Marathon. I was very skeptical about the location. This house and location are amazing! There was plenty of room for the 16 of us to stay and even a separate suite for our friends with their 8 week old baby. Everyone had space to spread out and relax and the kitchen was wonderful to gather and have meals together. The house and grounds were so amazing we didn't leave much. We arrived on a Friday and got married in a small intimate ceremony between the palm trees on Saturday. We rented a boat for the week and went fishing everyday. Our favorite watering hole is Sparky's located on Key Colony. The grocery store is a 10 minute drive down the road and there was plenty of bars and restaurants close by as well. If your looking for a great wedding venue or an amazing place for a large family gathering this is the place for you! Joe the property manager was wondering and Kevin the owner was great at answering all my questions! Just be aware you won't want to leave :)
