Whistling River Cabin is the perfect cabin-in-the-woods with a riverside view in rolling landscape of Cascades and directly on gorgeous Skykomish River! Incredible views, which are perfect for family fun, couples’ ski retreats, hiking, fishing, kayaking and relaxing! There are nature hikes and drives accessible in the area. When it comes to relaxation and recreation year-round, you can't beat Whistling River Cabin as an ideal vacation rental for making memories with your friends and family.

Whistling River Cabin will be ready by 4pm. You will have keyless entry and can arrive at your leisure any time after 4. Departure is before 11am. Please be sure to check out on time so we can get the home ready for the next guests. Check out procedures will be emailed the last day of your stay.

Guests are expected to be able to manage common home operations such as resetting a breaker, unclogging a toilet or using the fireplace. Guests understand that internet and power outages are beyond the control of the host and although host can help report such outages, ongoing updates and resolutions come from the utility companies directly.

Pet waste is to be picked up and properly bagged in outdoor trash bins. Pets absolutely cannot be left in homes unattended unless they are crated!

Amazing getaway

We had a wonderful time in Gold Bar! The cabin was a warm, welcoming landing spot and the river/views were so soothing. We can't wait to return.

Relaxing Cabin

Booking this cabin was easy and Amit responded almost immediately to my queries. The cabin was clean and very well-stocked! We had everything we needed and more. A bottle of wine, lots of k-cups for the Keurig coffeemaker and creamer were provided as well. This is probably the most well-stocked rental kitchen we have ever seen. There is no cable, but streaming is available. The location was right next to the railroad tracks, but it didn't really bother us. The river was calming and surroundings were serene and beautiful. What a gem!

We were really fortunate to find this gem of cabin! Great location for us to explore the Leavenworth area as well as the west coast. Locally, Wallace Falls State Park was a fun hike. The cabin itself is clean and well-stocked. Loved that there were food items in the pantry and fridge for us to use if needed. Easy check-in process. Comfortable beds. The massage chair was a great bonus! I think the favorite thing for our family was the river and the beach right next to the cabin! And sitting on the back deck was so relaxing. We are looking forward to staying here in the future!

Serene - Great place to relax

Right on a river with mountain views right out back. Son and I had fun hanging out by the river jumping on the rocks and fishing. Weather was great so outside just looking around and listening to the river flowing was quite enjoyable. Space was clean and had everything we needed. RV is an excellent host - great communication and helpful. Make sure you get the personal email from RV prior to checking in that has the information. I had an oversight on that and noticed it too late. Not RV's fault though. Place was worth it and I highly recommend.

Family getaway

The cabin was great! The fact that it was dog friendly was perfect. It was immaculate and well sticked. The view of the river was AMAZING. I was sad because I thought there would be direct a cess to the water from the cabin but there wasn’t really. There is literally next door a trail that leads to the community’s access and it was really nice. There was a sandy beach and area where there was no current to swim. I highly recommend this property

Road trip 2023

We really love this property. It was easy to get to, and the deck overlooks the river. It was very peaceful. It was well stocked with cooking items, including spices. We really enjoyed sitting in the swing on the deck in the morning in the evenings. We would love to come back.

Family wedding

Step son got married in Nortbend. We hiked Mr Pilchuck, Merriner game, and Mukilteo Ferry. 1hr 20 to downtown 1hr 30 to Northbend 1hr:15 to Mukilteo

Weekend away

Stayed Memorial Day weekend. House was very clean and had everything you would need. Even if you forget something more than likely they have one to borrow. Property was just as pictured and beach next door was nice for the hot days. Many hikes nearby and you can fish the river if you wanted to.

Absolutely Perfect

This cabin has it all. Everything you could need and nothing to clutter it up. Very well decorated and stocked. It was like walking into our own place. I would totally live here if I could! Thank you so much for letting us spend our 40th anniversary there, it was so relaxing. Much needed time away.

Peaceful, relaxing

We love staying here. This is our second time and we hope to come again next year. Lots of activities in the area. We like to hike and recommend Wallace Falls and Bridal Veil. Or just relaxing on the deck with a good book and enjoying the scenery is so peaceful. We mostly cooked our own food and ate on the deck, but Zeke’s or the Mountain View Diner are both great places to eat. You will love spending time here.

Picture perfect

We had a wonderful time at this lovely location. The view of the river was absolutely outstanding! It was so relaxing to sit on the swing and take in the view. Rental was very clean, and there were plenty of supplies needed for our stay. It was so nice that they had spices and things available, and they had Keurig cups and popcorn if you wanted. We plan on staying again, and are thinking it would be just as beautiful in the winter. We also enjoyed the noise of the train 😊

Loved it

Everything was amazing. There was no outside light for evening and the light bulb over the door wasn't working. Also, the grill/smoker wasn't working right, but these were minor inconveniences. The men really enjoyed their weekend. 5 🌟 for sure.

Relaxing by the river

We enjoyed the peace and quiet of RV’s property. This is a great place to unwind. The view of the river is spectacular. I highly recommend this property for a vacation or just a quick getaway.

Beautiful and relaxing

We totally enjoyed our stay it was a wonderful place to spend time with family. But it did lack a few things: The Krager barbecue did not work we could not get the temperatures to go higher than 150. There were no hot pads in kitchen. Some of the windows had no screens on them. There was no air conditioner so you needed to be able to open the windows. The most frustrating thing was apparently there was a hole in the floor under the rug by the couch and we kept finding spiders.

Great stay and RV (the owner) was very responsive, helpful, and had excellent communication. The cabin is right next to the river and facing the mountains….sitting on the deck, It is breath taking.
