Thank you so much for staying with us! We’re so glad you had a great time at the cabin and enjoyed your stay. It was wonderful speaking with you, and we were happy we could accommodate your request to extend your stay another night. Thank you also for the suggestion about adding a solar light near the outhouse — that is something we can certainly look into! Regarding the steps to the river, we completely understand your concern. Because this is a natural riverfront property, the river level can fluctuate dramatically and, at times, can rise more than 10 feet in a very short period of time. Unfortunately, that makes installing a permanent handrail along the river access difficult, as it could be damaged or become unsafe during high-water conditions. We will continue looking for ways to make the river access as safe and user-friendly as possible while still accommodating those changing water levels.
