Relaxing, luxury home conveniently located in Southern Shores. Decking overlooking the pool on the back of the house provides privacy for sunning and relaxing.

Southern Pleasure is the perfect luxury vacation home just waiting for your family to enjoy. Spend your days relaxing by the Private pool (Heated for an additional cost of $400/week) as you sip on your favorite beverage or treat your body to a luxurious spa while listening to your favorite tunes. There is plenty of room around the pool to relax.

A bedroom on the lower level is perfect for your teen or young kids. They can entertain themselves by playing video games or just watch TV. The second level includes a Queen master and 2 additional queen bedrooms with a shared bath. Also on the level there is a screened in porch for a private escape!! The third level includes a King Master with a large garden tub. The master on this level also has direct access to a screened in porch. The third level also includes a gorgeous great room that is perfect for your family to kick back and relax after another great day in paradise.

If you need to take care of some business enjoy complementary wifi, just bring your laptop!!!!
Take a stroll to the beach or a short drive to the village of Duck for award winning dining and shopping.

Great Location

This house was perfect for our family vacation. The pool was a big hit with everyone and the home was very accommodating. Our host was also accommodating and gave us all the information we needed to complete our vacation. The park and the beach provided us all with activities within walking distance. This is a beautiful home with excellent amenities. It is very clean and has a well stocked kitchen.

Loved it!

My family and I loved our stay!! The home was very clean and the location of the house was great. With such a short walk to the beach, we were there every day. We are definitely staying again!

Lovely house

The house was fantastic with comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, and a great layout for our three families. The kids loved the arcade games and the pool. The owners thought of little details that made it feel like home, such as providing kids’ books, puzzles and board games, along with dish soap and laundry detergent. Crossing route 12 was a bit difficult at times of heavy traffic but the location was convenient to Duck and Wal-Mart/Harris Teeter. The beach was an easy walk away and the owner provided parking passes which was very nice. We had a great time here!

The location was great - short walk to the beach. There was plenty of room for all guests to spread out and find some privacy.

Wonderful Vacation

The house was clean and well stocked. Lots of board games, private pool and the PAC man game kept the kids busy when we weren’t at the beach. Great location, very close to the beach. Easy check in and check out and the host was very responsive. Would definitely recommend!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Great Location

Great Property

Nice big house! We loved the stocked kitchen and many bathrooms. The only downside I would say is that for kids, having the dining room chairs fabric and a glass table was difficult. Also, the lack of seating in the living room space made it difficult to all gather. Overall, it was a great property!

Nice place in Souther shores

We enjoyed our stay here in Southern shore. Public Beach access was about a 3-4 block walk but they provided a parking pass that we used every day. Even though there were only 6-8 parking spots at the public beach access we never had a problem getting a spot. It is on route 12, that goes to Corolla and Duck so that is a busy road. The only time that was an issue was Sat/Sun when people are moving in/out for the week. Then it just required a little patience, The bottom floor has the game room/kids room/laundry and bathroom. The second floor has one bedroom with an onsuite bathroom and two bedrooms with a jack and jill bathroom, The third floor had the libing room/kitchen and dining space a half bathroom and the master bedroom with an on-suite. The pool was nice but is small-ish. There was a grill that we used. There were 4-5 beach chairs and a beach unbrella that we used. It was a nice place and had everything we needed.

Great stay in Southern Shores

Two families enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. It’s about 1/3 mile walk to the beach and right on a main road, but it came with parking passes that could get you and your beach goods a lot closer to the dunes. Property is well-kept and clean.

The best

Our family finally made it back to the Outer Banks!! There were 11 family members who came and the house was perfect for us! It was a blistering hot week and the pool was a godsend. Surrounded b ay lush forest the pool was mostly shaded in the afternoon. The beach was only a 6 minute walk away which was perfect. There was also a parking pass to my mother and aunt so they didn't have to walk. The costs of ocean front are far too much anymore. The house: clean, kitchen stocked perfectly, puzzles and games in the rec room, and everything else was wonderful! There was an issue with the a/c when we first arrived, sent Dan a text and within an hour the issue disappeared. Dan: awesome man, very quick replies, communicate well, I wish he was the host for all the rentals we've stayed at!! Overall, perfect week!! Did not want to leave.... Thank you Dan!!!

Amazing Place!

Everything was great and the communication was good. This house was very clean and the decorations throughout the house gave you a tranquil beach vibe. We both walked and drove to the beach, parking was not an issue (passes provided). Yes, it is off of the main road, but crossing to get the beach was not a problem. We used everything (the games, grill, pool, hot tub, jetted bathtub, and mini fridge, washer/dryer) and greatly appreciated! Everything you could need for cooking your own meals is provided. Be sure to read the description of what is provided very carefully. For example, I forgot bath mat/rugs. Kitchen towels were provided, but you need to bring hand towels (thankfully, I read that carefully). I highly recommend this house for your OBX vacation!

Family reunion

We had 3 groups there. One each from TN, CT and WI. Had a great time. Everything as stated in the description. The pool was great. Ran out of propane for the grill but Dan was quick to bring out a refilled one. Nice place to stay.

2023 Family Vacation

We stayed the week of memorial day and even though the temperature did not go above 70°, we were still able to enjoy ourselves. We enjoyed both the beach, which was only a short 2 block walk and the pool every day. We did not opt to have the pool heated. The owner Dan was easy to contact and he answered our questions. This was the first place that we rented tgat we did not need to use any of our own kitchen ware. The kitchen was well stocked with utensils, cookware, pots & pans and electric appliances. I would stay here again.

This property was a really nice stay. Close to Duck and the beach. Well stocked with everything you need. Low internet reception was our only complaint. Would rent this again.

Great house - we had a very nice time

This property was excellent. The house was large and spacious for our family of 5 adults and 3 kids, with plenty to do between the pool, hot tub, and rec room. The kitchen was well equipped with everything we needed. The walk to the beach is not bad at all (under 10 minutes) and the walk is through a peaceful neighborhood. The owner, Dan, was extremely easy to communicate with and was very helpful. I contacted him during our stay about something minor with the trash and he came over and handled it that day (though he didn't need to bother, we did appreciate it!). We were quite glad to stay here and would definitely recommend it to others.

Most Amazing Host & Property - You won't be Disappointed

Dan was amazing from the beginning - he responded quickly to all questions right away The property was Amazing - Pictures did not do it Justice. The Pool was warm and enviting with plenty of room for our group to hang out, swim, grill & chill all together. All of the bedrooms were spacious and the beds were so comfortable - the living room/kitchen/dining combo were large and our group enjoyed being able to hang out and cook together and entertain. The short walk to the beach was amazing and the guest passes to park close if needed were wonderful as well. Our granddaughter loved the park that was a short walk around the corner. If you are looking for a great place don't pass this one by it is exactly as it appears and the Host is the Best
