Just completed this one bedroom one bathroom (sleeps three) modern lean cottage is in a very desirable location. Situated a stones throw from South Holston Lake and Painter Creek marina this property is stunning. Both Bristol and Abingdon are about ten minutes away and the new Hard Rock Casino is about fifteen minutes. The Bristol speedway is approximately fifteen minutes as well. Relax on the large deck and enjoy the gas fire feature table. The bedroom is behind double glass panel barn doors and has a king bed with super comfy mattress. Hi end luxury linens await you. The bathroom is large and has a tiled walk in shower, sink with light up mirror and water closet. The living room boasts twelve foot ceiling and has a couch that fold out to a queen bed, a comfy chair, a gas fireplace and massive windows to view the outdoors and the massive deck. The living room is open to the full kitchen with a granite top island, full fridge, oven, microwave, Nepresso coffee maker, sink and dishwasher. This property is truly an oasis. It is easy to relax here as it is peaceful and quiet. Come try it out. We guarantee you won’t be disappointed. We do allow one dog per stay, less than 20 lbs but we have to pre approve and the pet fee must be paid. No other pets are considered.

Everything was spotless. We actually met our host as we were headed out. So pleasant! So kind! The property is neat as a pin and very quiet. The mountains are lovely.

Great location, wonderful cozy well decorated home away from home. Every need you could want was included. The kitchen was perfect for cooking and saved us money on restaurant visits, so we had more funds to do other fun things!!! Quiet and definitely a spot for two to enjoy some time away.

Great location and fantastic owner.Unfortunately there was a bug and ant problem.Also, once covers weee removed at time of check out, the mattress had done unsavory looking stains. But, the location was great. Tasteful design.Owners were right next door and very responsive.I hate to leave any negative comments because it’s a great place overall. I’m sure the ant issue and the potato bug problem is easily remedied.Would stay there again.

Exactly what we were looking for

This space was perfect for my spouse and I for a long weekend visiting family in Abingdon. It’s 20 min or less from anywhere we wanted to go, but far enough out that it was quiet and private. The space was clean and had all the amenities we needed. We will be booking here again!

Weekend Getaway Bristol

Such a darling property. Suited our needs perfectly. Easy to get to and check in and out was painless. We didn’t need to contact the host, but if we would have I’m sure we would have wait we needed immediately, The place was immaculate and had everything anyone could possibly need or want. Definitely will stay again if we’re in the area.

Disappointing

Granted the house and neighborhood was beautiful but it was right next door to the main house. It was clear to us they had been watching us through their blinds. Also the neighbors dog cam running up to us barking and wouldn’t listen to the owner as she was trying to retrieve the dog. Also the listing is misleading. It sleeps 4 but you have to pay 40 a night additional over 2 occupants. I always felt like I was being watched.

Great little unit!!

Great 1 bedroom with plenty of room and amenities for a couple to spend a few days. Very clean, comfortable bed, nice gas fireplace. Large bathroom with ample space. Laundry in unit. We were visiting family and would definitely rent this unit again.

One of the best stays

This property is fabulous. Not only was it spotless but the amenities are wonderful. The king size mattress was incredibly comfortable as well as the furniture for reading and relaxing. We would highly recommend. The owner was quick to respond and helpful regarding things to do. We had a great meal in Bristol which was a super short drive away. Thanks!

Cozy House With Perfect Location!

I booked a rather last minute stay for me and my boyfriend while visiting family in town. Logan came on Christmas Day and turned the fireplace on for us, and his wife came by the next day to show me how to use the outside fireplace. Both were so sweet and accommodating! The place was immaculate and adorable. Very comfortable for two people. We even had my family stop by for a few hours one night, and the 5 of us were comfortable in the living area/kitchen. The house is located close to their main house, but I never felt any lack of privacy. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, the house is a tad bit off the main roads near the lake but the drive out is beautiful and worth it. This is the perfect little getaway!

Awesome Getaway!

We were traveling from Atlanta to Scranton PA for Thanksgiving and wanted to breakup our trip. We found this place as its not far from the casino and the speedway and we are so glad we did! It is located in a quiet area with vast rolling hills and lots off trees. There is a main house this is located off of, but it felt very private! The space was clean, and had all the little things like coffee, creamer, garbage bags, shampoo & conditioner that made everything so seamless! It is a bit of a drive away from any stores/shopping/ etc but the remoteness was a lovely break from the city. We went to downtown Friday night to O'Mainnins which was a fun, local bar. Saturday we visited the Bristol Caverns which was super interesting - highly recomend! We were in town when Georgia played Tennesee (went to Stateline Grill - great food & atmosphere) and even as the only Georgia fan, everyone in the town was so nice and welcoming. We also went to the lights at Bristol Moitor Speedway which was AWESOME then wrapped up the night at the Casino! This was such a great get away and "the she shed" (thats what we called it lol) was the perfect place to stay. You felt like you were somehwere else when you walked in, just so homey and lovely! Overall this was a great trip, and Bristol is such a welcoming place. The host was great, and honestly the only thing we wish we could change was having more time! Thank you for a great stay :)

The property was clean, beautiful decorated and perfect for a couple. The bed was very comfortable, there were super fluffy towels in the bathroom. The owner was friendly, gracious and left snacks and Nepresso pods for us. The property is a guest house that shares a driveway with the adjoining house. This wasn't a problem for us. There is not a house directly behind the property so the back deck overlooks a sprawling tree lined backyard. The neighborhood is very nice and quiet. We would definitely stay here again when we come back to Abingdon.

The house was beautiful--looks just like the photos. We found it charming, comfortable, convenient. We attended a festival in Bristol and the trip to town was very easy. We would love to stay there again.

GPS led us on a narrow twisty road with no centerline or side markers. Kind of scary. After we arrived we found a much shorter, safer way to get to and from the property. Hostess was GREAT! She went out of her way to help us! I forgot chairs to go to the race at Bristol, she found some from her friend to loan to us. THANKS! Cottage itself was very nice, had everything we needed.

Very nice!! Thanks for the snacks, and that is the cutest microwave/coffe pot/toaster combo ever! ONLY comment(NOT a complaint), may consider storing a thin mattress pad in the closet for the foldout couch. Needs just a little more cushion.

Excellent place to stay! Though a little out from the center of Abingdon, it’s very close to Bristol as well. Beautiful area, home is beautifully maintained, neighborhood is SO quiet! We enjoyed the thoughtful snacks and the comfy couch, and the bed was incredible! The only issue we had was with the stone pathway into the house - while beautiful, it made navigation difficult for my husband who is legally blind. It was gorgeous, but it can be difficult to navigate while also carrying luggage. We loved our stay and hope to stay again the next time we come to town!

Great stay

Lovely stay. The house is very comfortable, impeccably decorated and well furnished. I stayed 3 nights. I was in town for a job interview and to check out the area. I needed to stay an extra the hosts were very helpful and great to work with.

Cute cottage near Abingdon

The cottage was very nice and just the right size for the two of us. The area was very quiet and we enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking out over the large backyard. Because of the weather we stayed inside a lot and felt very comfortable. A great choice for a weekend getaway!

1 week stay at the beginning of April

Very comfortable, clean, and private. Neighborhood was beautiful, scenic, and safe. Proximity to Abingdon, Bristol, and South Holston Dam was very convenient. Highest marks, and we would definitely reach out to stay at this property the next time we want to visit this area of Virginia.

Wonderful Retreat

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights along with our pup and had a great time! We are big on cleanliness which was why I chose this cottage and it did not disappoint. The owners were so accommodating- leaving dish soaps - snacks- and Nespresso pods. We enjoyed watching the cows in the back and the fire pit on the deck! Owners were very kind and responsive. Would def stay here again!

A Special Place !

I am an avid fisherman and the weekend forecast for Lake Holston October 11-13th was awesome - I booked this last minute and could not be happier ! The home is everything you see with an expansive view down the hill from the rear porch to a wooded area. Minutes from Painter Creek Marina. And I am now a Nespresso fan !

Trip to Tennessee, and back to Virginia

The house was perfect. My mother and I stayed there for three nights. Everything just as advertised cleanliness was excellent. Very nice neighborhood like the country, but only 5 miles from Bristol.

4th of July Vacation

We loved the time spent in this beautiful cottage. It was conveniently located near shopping, Casino, and South Holston Lake. The immaculate property contained everything we needed to feel right at home. We look forward to revisiting soon.
