Overall a good cozy stay. The lock had some issues at one point but the host was available to help immediately. The location is perfect if hiking gold bug and we could see some amazing starry night too as the area is quite dark at night. The shower head was a bit outdated and rustic. Had some blue stain marks too on the shower floor.

Pleasant, quite getaway

It was quiet peaceful and a good place to stay to just get away. I did also like the fact that it was close to Goldberg Hot Springs. Beautiful area thank you.

Cute place close to Goldbug.

Stayed in the cabin on a trip to relax in Goldbug hotsprings. It was close to the trailhead and a convenient place to stay. It was a nice place and worked out great!

This is a very cute place. Older for sure, and very small. Doesnt sleep 5 real well, but we made it work with 3. Has everything you need in a nice area

It smelled like a dirty diaper when we got there so all the doors and windows have to air out and couldn’t get the air conditioning to work. Otherwise it was great.

Salmon River Valley VRBO

Code on door lock was problematic but host was able to reprogram the code. Place was clean & had most of the basics, aside from coffee pot and air conditioning. Coffee pot was a big one for us. F.Y.I. Steps to sleeping loft were extremely steep, narrow & winding. Suggest LED bulbs & new screen door to alleviate evening bugs/gnats entering interior. Outdoor dog kennel full of thistles & had no door/gate to enclose it. Overall great location to access Goldbug Springs trailhead.

Horrible, awful, worst experience

Due to the conditions we were only able to stayed 1 of the 3 nights. Had to get a hotel. Horrible, miserably HOT, no air conditioner, no fan, no air flow. Dirty! Bugs everywhere! Stairs are dangerous, can’t stand up at the bathroom sink (no room). Asked for a partial refund but can’t get a response. Excessive cameras all over the property. Worst experience ever! Do NOT book this property.

Thank you for your feedback. We are genuinely sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. We reached out the morning after your first night to check in and see if there were any issues as we do with all guests, but did not receive a response. Despite additional follow-ups through the official VRBO message channels, we still did not hear back from you. We weren't even aware that you left after the first day. The property was thoroughly cleaned the day before your arrival. However, given the rural setting, bugs can sometimes enter when doors are opened. Regarding the temperature, our listing clearly states that the property does not have air conditioning. We did not intend to mislead anyone about this. The security cameras on the property are all exterior, facing outwards and were installed as a direct result of excessive vandalism that occurred on the property earlier this year. They are not monitored and are there solely for the safety and security of our guests. We take pride in the positive experiences of our many other guests and strive to communicate effectively. We regret that this was not your experience and will continue to improve our services. Thank you for your understanding.
