Relax with the whole family, at this spacious home, in beautiful Rabun County.

A perfect place for the whole family to get some R&R, located in the beautiful Wolffork Valley, walking distance to Black Rock Mountain State Park Lake. Enjoy nearby hiking trails, incredible views, and dining in downtown Clayton, as well as multiple outdoor activities in Rabun County. The house was renovated in 2017 and the kitchen was completely updated in 2023. It is a perfect layout for a getaway with friends and kids.

The house has 3 bedrooms and 2 baths. The primary bedroom has a king bed and en suite. A second bedroom has a queen bed and shares a bath with the third bedroom, which has bunk beds and a full. The living room, dining room and kitchen are very spacious. Outside features a SoloStove fire pit, grill, hot tub and seating to enjoy views of the valley. It is only 2 miles off Highway 441 - county-maintained, paved roads lead up to the short asphalt driveway.

Prefect location to enjoy the area. Everything you might need or want is close by.Under a 1 hour drive to other enjoyable little towns. Great Host and House. Plentyof room. Will look forward to the next time.

Great location, with an awesome host. Dan was easy to contact, and even let us view a waterfall from his porch (incredible view btw). The property was exceptionally taken care of, and had an excellent view of the valley below. Overall, this was probably one of the best stays, and I would recommend Dan's cabin to anyone looking for a nice relaxing retreat. 10/10 stars

This Rabun Gap property was very comfortable, well appointed and maintained, equipped with essential needs including coffee for the Keurig for the first day (thank you!!). It was convenient to our nephew's house next to Black Rock Mountain. We had the pleasure of meeting Dan, the host, as he invited us over to see the waterfall behind his house. The rooms were spacious and well maintained too. We definitely plan on booking with Dan again.

Simply gorgeous house and property! The owner’s communication was fast, friendly, and accommodating. The place had every amenity we needed and then some. Would definitely book again!

Fun Weekend

The cabin was just as described, very spacious and well stocked. We also enjoyed the hot tub and having a fire outside. Would definitely recommend.

Great house. Great location. Quiet. Minutes from hiking. Minutes from a lake. House was clean with all the amenities. Dan, the owner, was quick to respond to messages and was readily available if needed. Will definitely stay there again.

The house was great, it was perfect for 2 couples and a few kids. Parking was easy, and the directions were easy to follow to get there. We had everything we needed for a fantastic relaxing weekend! Easy access to shops and restaurants, and all the outdoor activities we wanted. The area was GORGEOUS and there’s a waterfall on the way up to house. The fire pit was definitely a high point for us. Dan was excellent as a host. He was responsive and everything was perfect. Would definitely stay here again!

It was great to have a hot tub but the temp seemed to be less hot than indicated. Kitchen well stocked with anything we needed. Shopping was close by. There was not a lot to do if your not there to hike the beautiful wood or shoot the rapids which was great. Some of my clothes felt damp when I got home although the place did not seem that humid.Had a great time.

This home is perfect for a relaxing weekend getaway. Plenty of room and well stocked. Communication with the host was excellent. The home was very clean and comfortable.

I have always loved Rabun County and bought my home (next door) in 2007 and renovated it so I could enjoy working from home. In 2017, my son and I purchased the rental house and renovated it, offering it for short-term rentals. In 2023, I remodeled the kitchen, completing the interior renovation. I am very involved in Black Rock Mountain State Park, coordinating the volunteer program. I retired in 2024, but keep busy with projects at the houses, as well as volunteering at the Atlanta Botanical Garden, which is near our condo in Atlanta.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

While looking for Mountain Property in 2007, we found the house adjacent to the Sylvan Falls Mill before it went on the market. Rather than a high elevation property, I decided I couldn’t beat the view of the waterfall from my deck. Looking around the area, I discovered that not only was the property on the back side of Black Rock Mountain State Park, but the Wolffork Valley was one of the most sought-after areas in Rabun County.

The rental house has a beautiful view of the Wolffork Valley. Through the renovation, we were able to make it a place for families with children, or for couples to get together, hang out indoors, or use as home base for outdoor activities. The outdoor area is a perfect spot to grill, have a campfire, as well as relax in the hot tub.
