Wonderful Town House where the President stays when in Killarney

Relax with the whole family at this peaceful place to stay. Fun fact, President Catherine Connolly (Ireland’s current President) has stayed in this house on two occasions while visiting Killarney. So yes, we have a “Presidential Suite”.
The space
Your home away from home has the following.

Downstairs - kitchen, TV/living room, laundry, bedroom and bathroom.

Simple downstairs bedroom with double bed and en-suite. Please see pictures.

Upstairs you’ll have two lovely en-suite bedrooms.

Other things to note
We are delighted to be the new owners of this well established Airbnb. The previous owner was much loved by her guests. We have included screenshots from her previous reviews to help you make your decision to spend time with us.

The downstairs bedroom and en-suite is very basic. We have had on two occasions guests say they were a little disappointed but we ask you keep in mind the price point for three en-suite bedrooms in town. If you want 5 star luxury Killarney offers that. We have The Europe Hotel and The Killarney Park Hotel however, you’ll be paying a few thousand a night for three bedrooms. We are perfect for those that want to be able to walk into town. Three bedrooms and en-suites. Spend your day exploring Killarney and Kerry and the evenings walking into town for dinner and drinks. That’s what our Townhome is for. If you’re looking for luxury we are not for you. What we promise is a clean house with fresh sheets, towels and a host always available to help you.

We were traveling with a family of 5 and needed space with extra bathrooms. This unit accommodated us so well. The host was very kind and super responsive. It is a short walk to town which was super nice! We also were able to park right in front of the unit. We highly recommend this stay. Thank you!

The home is very comfortable and well equipped. The owner, Tony, was outstanding and always checking in to make sure things were going well. The location was perfect. Our stay was great!

PROS: very large house, plenty of room for our family of five. Great location – – within walking distance of the main city cente. Lots of great restaurants and pubs less than 10 minutes down the street! Felt safe walking. Easy street parking. CONS; first floor of house should have been cleaner. There were cobwebs over the kitchen sink, mold in the shower, kitchen floor was sticky. (however, upstairs was very clean.). Would have been nice to have chairs outside in backyard to get some fresh air. Front yard needs a lot of attention (weeds, broken lights, peeling paint, etc.)

Luxury on a budget

No bells and whistles as described but excellent for cost. Only small issue but Tony helped me fix right away. We would for sure stay here again.

Killarney

My group of friends and I had a very nice stay at Acara. The condo was roomy for 3 couples. Everyone had a bathroom which was great. The location was ideal to walk to downtown for restaurants. I would recommend this to groups or families and I would definitely go there again! Thanks to Tony!

Lovely ladies from Oregon!

4 novice travelers making our way around Ireland! Downtown within walking distance for music and eats! St Mary’s Cathedral within walking distance along with Killarney National Park walking trail near by! Owner was very attentive in communicating with me before during & after! Felt safe & on a quiet street! Loved the washer & dryer outside in the shed! I’d stay here again! Thank you for a great stay!
