The house was built in 1935 on the old road that led to the entrance of Nikia, in the area known as "Koukoula". All the halls/ rooms are decorated with objects that our family has restored and renovated: Old family photos since 1900 adorn the walls. The arch that unites the living room with the kitchen is decorated with ceramic plates of Dodecanese folk art. Also there are: an old oven and all the tools that once accompanied it, a traditional hand mill at the WC and a old sewing machine and sewing accessories are heirlooms from the professional life of Pontius great-grandfather, who was the village’s tailor at the end of the 19th century. The kitchen is functional and fully equipped with electrical appliances, utensils, small tools. There could be prepared family meals. The large wooden table can be extended.
The WC, which is equipped with washing machine, hygiene and bathroom items.
The first floor hall is the vestibule of the two bedrooms and the exit to the balcony. The sofa can also be used as a bed. Under the sofa there is a second single sliding bed. Blankets and quilts are stored under the old sideboard for cold winter nights.
The yellow room has a king-size bed and a wardrobe. From the window one can see the neighboring chapel andthe sea.
The blue room with the double bed also provides an office with a library for work and study. It has an unlimited view of the sea and the village though its two large windows. There is also equipment for a baby’s bed, in case a small child is accommodated.
