Picture perfect

The cabin is just as described, beautiful setting and picture perfect. If you are seeking a little respect with a beautiful view this is the place. Perfect for a couple or a small family as there is only one bathroom. We truly appreciated the cleanliness and how much care the owners have put into the maintenance. Close by amenities for groceries or even a quick lunch at the Shipwreck grill and bar. We traveled from CA so please be sure to ask about items you may not plan to pack such as bath towels. A few kitchen towels are available and the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils etc. Thank you for sharing your wonderful place with us. We look forward to a future stay. The perfect spot on Castle Rock

The cottage was immaculate! The location was in the heart of the lake action close to Shipwreck, Pine Cove and the Dirty Turtle. We were able to dock our boat and did lots of fishing and there were beaches nearby for the kiddos. Gary was super nice.

Great Vacation!

We loved our time at this cabin! Owners met us on arrival and were so helpful explaining how everything worked, as well as some of the cabins history. Extremely clean and the kitchen is fully stocked with cooking utensils, and cookware. Location was great and the pier was so convenient! We hope to be back soon!!

Great GetAway!

We stayed at this cabin August 15 - 22, 2020. The owners were very attentive to our needs and concerns and quick to respond to any questions we had. When I say the owners were attentive, we scheduled our trip long in advance and then ran into some issues (our issues, not the owner's) with the dates we chose. The owners were very understanding of our situation and went above and beyond to work with us. As the situation warranted, we thought we would have to cut our vacation short and only stay three nights instead of the entire week. However, as fate would have it, we were able to stay the entire week. The cabin was a quaint little cabin, but don't let the size fool you! We had six people in the cabin; 4 adults, an almost two year old and a five year old. Although the quarters were a little tight at times, we were comfortable. Another concern we had was that the cabin had no bath tub and we had two little ones with us. However, the shower had a removable shower head that we used to bathe the five year old and we bathed the two year old in the kitchen sink so it all worked out very well! Two of the best features of this cabin were its location (location, location, location) and the boat slip where we were able to park our 20' pontoon boat and have instant access to it all week long. This was our first trip to Castle Rock Lake, but I'm betting, it won't be our last! The cabin cost was also very reasonable! There was a bar/restaurant two doors down where we ordered food a couple of times. Due to the pandemic situation during out stay though, we didn't eat at the restaurant, we ordered via phone and walked over and picked up the food. I would rate the food 4 out of 5 stars. I guess they are known for their great burgers but we never ordered burgers. They also had live entertainment there on the weekends. There was also another bar/restaurant (the Dirty Turtle) just a short distance across the lake that had live entertainment as well. I'm happy to say though that they didn't play at the same time as the one two doors down because both could be heard from the cabin. We did enjoy the music though and they weren't rowdy and didn't play late so we didn't have any problems sleeping because of noise. It was actually a nice add on to the cabin amenities. We would definitely recommend this cabin!

Relaxing

Some vacations involve high energy activity. This environment allowed for family time, rest and rejuvenation. We rode bikes, went for walks, kayaked, played cards and read. Being outside near the lake water was calming and the cabin was charming. A perfect getaway for us.

Wonderful week at Castle Rock Lake

Gary and Kathy are fantastic hosts. The cottage is incredibly clean, and everything we wanted for our 1-week vacation. The cottage is just as described, and the AC was most welcome on those hot days. We loved being able to keep our boat in the water all week. Restaurants and live music were nearby. On our rainy day, it was a relatively quick drive into Wisconsin Dells. We love to play spike ball, and there was ample room in the yard for that.

Great family trip!!

Best place to stay for a small family on Castle Rock Lake!

We LOVE the location of this property and the incredible lakefront views. The cabin is equipped with all you need for a family vacation. The owners are very friendly and available to answer any questions!

We had a blast at the cottage, on the lake, and on the couple days we spent at the Dells. Great place for a family getaway. Gary was very helpful as well. The place was comfortable and well equipped. The on site boat launch and dock worked out great for us. We will definitely look for this cottage again when we return to the area!!

Spectacular! Property was just as shown in pictures. Cottage and grounds were clean and immaculate. We were 2 couples and the cottage was big enough for us to be comfortable. We would highly recommend this rental for the price.

Perfect Retreat!

We loved our time away at the cottage! Wonderful accommodations and the cottage was fully stocked with everything we needed. Gary was very flexible with our needs and informative. Castle Rock Lake was gorgeous and we can't wait to go back!

This cabin was ideal for our little get away. There's a fantastic bar/restaurant within walking distance and the staff was so friendly.
