Going Down Hill

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After staying here several years now the experience has gone down Hill. You are watched by the Security guards constantly making you feel like you're a criminal and the Parking pass situation is a Joke only getting one pass per unit when there are numerous empty spots in the parking garage.The HOA is ruining a beautiful vacation spot.

We certainly understand your frustration with the security and parking pass policies. Unfortunately, those rules and procedures are established and enforced by the resort’s HOA, and they are not policies that we, as the rental management company, create or control. We are required to follow the rules set by the HOA and resort management. We know that these policies can sometimes be frustrating for guests, especially when parking spaces may appear to be available. We will certainly continue to share guest feedback with the appropriate parties, as we want everyone to have the best possible experience while visiting Waters Edge. Pleasant place, nice view

My bestie & I had abquick getaway. It was perfect for her & I. Nice & clean, bit outdated but not a deal breaker. It was very well supplied. I would return again.

We were fortunate to get a unit on the first level and the view was perfect. We found everything to be clean, the staff to be helpful and the hospitality to be great. We will spend more time in the future at Waters Edge.

This place is very outdated and, in my opinion, has not had a proper deep cleaning in a long time.From the moment we arrived, it didn’t feel welcoming. Walking to our room at 2 in the afternoon, there was barely any lighting. Our room was at the end of the first floor and honestly felt like we were walking into a dungeon.Our electronic keypad didn’t work, so we had to use regular keys instead. Not the biggest issue, but having to constantly remember keys on vacation was inconvenient.The bigger issue was the cleanliness. There was built-up grime, grout that clearly had not been thoroughly cleaned in a long time, and hair collected in corners. I requested a refund and it was declined. They did offer to send cleaners, but at that point I had already purchased cleaning supplies myself and at least Cloroxed the bathroom so we could feel comfortable using it.Then we realized the room was not cooling properly. It stayed around 76 degrees the entire time, and we were told that was “normal.” In my opinion, 68–70 is a comfortable, normal indoor temperature — not 76. On the last day of our vacation, the AC was turned off completely for repairs. After spending the day outside at the beach in the heat, we came back to a hot room instead of somewhere comfortable to relax.We were told we could leave a day early and receive a refund for that final night, but this was supposed to be our family vacation. Our kids wanted to stay and enjoy the time we had left, and so did we..........

The photos in our listing are of the exact condominium you reserved and accurately represent the unit. Unfortunately, we cannot refund guests who have blocked off a unit from the rental calendar of an owner for cleanliness issues that could have been addressed. We apologize that the cleanliness did not meet your expectations. When you contacted us, we immediately offered to have housekeeping return to address your concerns, but that offer was declined. We encourage guests to report any issues during their stay so we have the opportunity to make things right. The electronic keypad was functioning, but several buttons were sticking due to the extreme summer heat. To ensure reliable access, we provided two hard keys. Although only one key was returned at checkout, no charge was assessed for the missing key. We also apologize for the building-wide air conditioning issues, which affected all units. Before the outage, an HVAC technician was sent to inspect your unit and confirmed it was operating as designed despite the extreme temperatures. When the building system later required repairs, we recognized the inconvenience and provided compensation for the disruption to your vacation. We appreciate your feedback and wish you and your family all the best.

Reviewer Comments: Room was a little dated. I shouldn’t have had to come in and clean but it was a late check in. Lady at the front desk was very nice. John. I remember the name because he was rude as **** when I tried to let him know I had cleaned the first night. I had the room book a month in advance. My room should have been better cleaned. All dishes and utensils were yuck table outside had drink rings and a dirt film on it. Toilet rocked in one of the bathrooms. Water dripped from air duct on the dryer. Yuck on clean clothes. I still love waters edge. Just will not stay in this room ever again. Noted.

Thanks for your review and feedback. We apologize for any inconvenience upon your arrival. We ask that you let us know as soon as possible if you find any maintenance or cleaning issues that you would like addressed so that we can get someone over to assist. We don't want you having to clean upon arrival, but we have to know about it in order to fix it. Regardless of when you book the room, the condo should be ready for your arrival. Unfortunately, we do not have time during the peak season to pull all silverware and items from the kitchen cabinets between check in and check out to inspect and get the guests checked in on time. Unfortunately, some people are not very clean and put dirty items away. The cleaning company does spot check, but sometimes things are missed as we are all human. Maintenance could have looked at the toilet and adjusted it for you during your stay as well. We are in the peak summer season and it is HOT. If the AC is running at full blast and the doors are being opened and closed a lot the vents sometimes due drip due to humidity. If I recall correctly, you were here during one of the hottest weeks we have had yet. We thank you for visiting Water's Edge Resort, and we hope that you will visit again in another condo that better meets your needs. If you would like to call us to book and get recommendations on rooms, please do so. We also recommend booking in advance because the top of the line condos due book up first. Thanks again.
