*** Because the Arrowhead Chalets are located on the mountain, adjacent to one of Big Sky's main ski runs, they are located above street level. However, there is an elevator in the Arrowhead Mall that is available for guest use which takes you directly up to the Arrowhead Chalets. If you choose to bypass the elevator, please note that the walking path is very steep.***

Ski Access
A fantastic location from which to explore Big Sky's powder! Arrowhead is slopeside just off the blue Silverknife run.

Ski Out:
Walk or pole from the unit long the Arrowhead pathway to the ski access. From there, ski right down to the Big Sky Mountain Village base area and the new Ramcharger 8 or Swift Current lifts (Green access).

Ski In:
Silverknife to the headwall above Arrowhead Chalets. From there you can ski directly back to the unit via the Arrowhead pathway (Blue access). Beginners may wish to ski to the Summit Hotel and walk from the Summit Hotel's main entrance to the Arrowhead Mall, allowing you to take the elevator up to the Arrowhead Chalets.

Other Ski Info:
The Arrowhead Chalets are located immediately next door to Lone Mountain Sports (in Arrowhead Mall), a full-service ski shop (including equipment demo and rental services). Ski out or walk over to access ski school at the Mountain Village base area.

This home does not have air conditioning.

Most homes in Big Sky don't, thanks to our typically mild summer temperatures. For a true Montana experience, we recommend our classic "Montana A/C": open the windows at night to let in the cool mountain air, then close them and draw the blinds first thing in the morning to keep the cool air inside throughout the remainder of the day.

Transportation to Big Sky from Bozeman Airport
In order to experience all that Big Sky has to offer, it is helpful to have access to a vehicle during your stay. This allows you to travel seamlessly throughout the community from the Gallatin River to Lone Peak. While ride-sharing and taxi services are abundant in other communities, Big Sky remains a small town with limited options for transportation. We offer a 5% discount code to Explore Rentals for confirmed guests. They are located minutes away from the Bozeman Airport and provide 4-wheel drive vehicles with dedicated snow tires in the winter and all-season tires in the summer!

Wonderful Location - Some Issues to be Addressed

Great stay overall with a few notable issues. We arrived and found that one of the bed's linens had not been cleaned from a previous stay (hair on the sheets). A text remedied that situation the next day but it meant a nasty night for those in that room. The VRBO website stated that parking was on a first come-first served basis, but provided no information on location. Hauling luggage and gear to this property requires a steep climb up or access through an elevator (no vehicle access). There was no information provided about the elevator in the listing info, except regarding ski-in/out sections. Not sure when the elevator is available as access is via the mall entrance. Last difficulty was the instructions regarding garbage pickup. The information at the condo said to leave the garbage inside the door and leave the door unlocked until the garbage is picked up by services in "early morning or late afternoon" and they will lock the door after pickup. It is not appropriate to require leaving the door unlocked if we are out doing our vacationing. There should be an outside locked location provided or a common dumpster provided. Another option would be to install a lock on the inside door so that the condo can be secured or a master door code. Then, the check out instructions stated to put the garbage in the "appropriate containers in a garage" but no code was provided until I texted with the question. We will stay again, but these issues should be addressed.
