The property was great! Me and my friends had a blast! The host wasn’t done setting up when we got there after the given check-in time which is the only slightly awkward part, but she was kind! We had a great experience in such a fun area. Absolutely recommend the fair and the dunes nearby!

Very nice place to stay with lots of stuff to do! They have thought about everything. The only thing that would have made the stay better would have been if the hot tub had worked better. There are 2 but the one was empty and the other had hardly any pressure to it. Was pretty pointless actually.

The house was lovely. Enjoyed the hot tub daily and had fun with the arcade games. Took morning walks across the road in the historical cemetery. Lots of nice places to visit. Took train into Chicago for day. Awesome visit!

We had a great time for New Years!

The stay was great! Any questions were quickly addressed by the host. The location is close to groceries and other fun stuff nearby. The only problem was that we couldn't get the hot tub heated enough in the winter, but that's just weather.

We had a wonderful week at South Bend and AYOP at Notre Dame. It was a short drive to ND, which made our week easier. This house was very clean, well taken care of, and the extras like the Sauna, Tanning Bed and Hot Tub were exceptional. It was a little small for the 6 of us, and a 2nd bathroom was needed with 5 females! The little touches like extra towels, arcade games, extra pillows and blankets, etc. were so special.

It was nice

Turning some of the play space into a bathroom would help us want to come back more. Tough when we have to all get ready in the AM for special events in a smaller bathroom. Otherwise cute place

Good Thanksgiving Visit

Nice house with many amenities to enjoy your stay (hot tub, tanning bed, sauna, video games, kitchen appliances) We needed a place to spend Thanksgiving as we visited family. The location was very convenient for our needs. The house was clean and well maintained. Veronica, the host, was very quick in responding to any questions and issues. She was also willing to work with us on special needs.

Wasn't what we expected

There was a lot of issue's with breakers blowing and only 1 out of 4 tvs worked in the bedrooms. For the price we paid for overnight it should have been way better

Hello Danielle, I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your time at the house. I wish u had mentioned the television issue with me because they all work . I’m not sure what was preventing them from turning on . I know every now and again a guest will swap out the bedroom remote with the living room remote . I assume because both are Roku remotes and they look the same . However each is programmed to work with the tv they came with. As for the breaker flipping, it happens when you run both tanning bed and sauna at the same time . That’s entirely too much at once for any breaker . I didn’t think about both being used at the same time when I had them put on the same breaker so that’s my fault for sure . Hopefully I can make it up to you? How about next time you book I’ll take additional 25 percent off for your troubles. Hope this helps some , Victoria

Complete Disaster

There was so much wrong with this property, but the worst was the communication received from the host. She asked me if I was black and asked me to buy hair extensions, told me I was ungrateful, and filed a claim on things that were broken prior to my arrival and I did not damage these things. This is the list I have. I’m currently adding more to it, but these are the things I noticed while staying:- Tons of arcade games and half of them don’t work- Listing stated 2 hot tubs, but only the small one was available and could not hold 7 people- only 3 trash bags- the trash cans outside were overfull when we got there- half the lamps didn’t have light bulbs- the front tv didn’t have a remote to it- the big room tv the fire stick needed about an hour to even update before we could use it which was not until the last day at night- there were so many items unplugged that we had to plug in- only 1 rack in the oven- the front door didn’t lock which caused me to be late to my wedding- the front door came off repeatedly - we found the remote to the tv in the couch - no laundry soap- not enough dish soap, there was about 1/5 of the bottle left- the problems with the heater when we first got there. It was 50 degrees in that house- 2 extra rolls of toilet paper when I made you aware there were more people- the steps to the hot tub were held up by 2 stones which when I stepped out of the hot tub and the stones slipped and I twisted my ankle.

I’m sorry to hear you didn’t enjoy your time at my home. I know you hadn’t submitted your review until you found out about the claim I submitted for the damages. Which was roughly a month after you stayed . Then you took to social media to bash my house in a very public group on Facebook . Unfortunately ma’am when you or your guest damage things whether it be accidental or not you are responsible. You have lied about stuff with the listing and your stay. For instance you keep saying that the listing states 2 hot tubs . Nowhere on here does it say that . You only saw 2 Hot tubs because I was upgrading from the one that was there and the bigger one hadn’t been wired yet . You complain about size of the hot tub you used and it’s bigger then the one in the photos on my listing as well. The way you have reacted to me filing a claim has been very negative . I wouldn’t recommend you to any host for that reason alone as this has been a huge headache. Oh and all lamps had bulbs one had a broken switch if that’s what you meant to say . Trash bags are in boxes of 5 not 3 . 4 rolls of tp should have been plenty since you claim that guests were not even in the house like that.1/4 dish washing liquid is a lot of soap for dishes however had you mentioned it I could have had that dropped off when I had the remote brought out to you. I am a super host on a different rental platform and for the most part people are happy with their stay. Like the old saying goes you can’t please everyone!

I’ve rented a lot of houses in the past so this is definitely the best one I’ve rented yet to date. The host responded quickly to any inquiries I had and was extremely nice.. The house itself was nice. It was clean and a perfect location and had everything you could possibly need to make you feel right at home. The backyard was amazing. Spent a lot of time out there in the morning and in the evening, watching the birds and squirrels a couple bunnies and some raccoons. The house is in a very quiet area. I will definitely rent this house from Victoria again!!!
