Two parking spaces provided on driveway and plenty of spaces in round driveway. Acreage is fully fenced and has its own gated driveway. Beautiful and private courtyard provides relaxing spot to enjoy morning coffee. Renovation provides high end surfaces and comfort for your stay. Brand new oversized back deck features Chicago brick and fully enclosed custom welded handrails to enhance view of distant mountain. Automatic lighting creates a relaxing experience on the back deck in the evening. Dining and lounge chairs are included on the deck area as well as a grill. Gate features donkey and cacti images that also are viewed in nature on this property.

Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful time. Three couples traveling together and this home was perfect for us. Highly recommend. Hosts were super. Thanks for a great experience!

Donkey heaven

Beautiful property and the house is beautiful Felt very much at home The just and hostess were very hospitable. The donkey meet and greet was a lot of fun! I will definitely stay there Again!

Cave Creek getaway

Five Stars!!! Our family had a great Cave Creek stay here. Great location, plenty of room for everyone, and the house was awesome. A huge thanks to the hosts, they made sure our stay was fantastic. And everyone loved the donkeys!

Cave creek remodel

Really a great place. The location was perfect for us. The property has plenty of room and has a lot of native desert so one doesn't feel like they are trapped in suburban development. The inside was well-appointed and very comfortable. We will come back

We had a great time at the Donkey House! This home was very clean, beautifully decorated, and fully stocked with everything you need. We felt very comfortable there. The location is great, the neighborhood beautiful, quiet and close to the cozy towns of Cave Creek and Carefree. The hosts, Karla and Rod, have been wonderful and it was a pleasure to meet them. The eggs from their chickens were delicious and we enjoyed meeting the two adorable donkeys, Rosie and Mamacita. Thanks Karla and Rod for making this home such a welcoming experience!

Purely Blissful!

Our group of 3 sibs plus spouses stayed in this beautiful Cave Creek location to ring in 2024. The home is super clean, super well equipped and has the most glorious vistas. Very private, felt like we were far from it all, yet very close to great dining, shopping and hiking, etc. Our hosts are the nicest people you could ever hope to meet! We loved our stay and hope to come again soon!

Quiet and Relaxing

We had a lovely stay at the Donkey house. Donkey house is a nicely re-done older Arizona ranch home sitting on a big piece of land in a very quiet area. Close to great hiking and restaurants but off the beaten path. Perfect for what we were looking for, Donkeys were like big dogs that didn't bark, just hanging around in their coral area playing or lying in the sun. Great break from Chicago winter.
