Escape to the tranquility of nature in our spacious 3-bedroom, 2-bathroom cabin nestled right on the banks of picturesque Pine Creek. Black Bear Lodge offers a cozy yet expansive haven for up to 10 guests, making it the ideal setting for the whole family. Guests have direct access to Pine Creek. The cabin also has a hot tub with a perfect view of the Creek. Black Bear Lodge is strategically situated- 15 miles to the PA Grand Canyon, 2 miles to downtown Galeton, and 20 miles to Wellsboro.

Just wanted to add here that the INDOOR FIREPLACE is NOT AVAILABLE for guests to use during their stay (This is due to safety concerns AND our insurance company not allowing our guests to use it).

Thank you so much for letting us stay at your beautiful property! It was the perfect central spot to visit many attractions in the area while also enjoying a getaway out in the woods. We especially loved just sitting on the back deck and admiring the beautiful fall colors along the creek in the back of the property. We had everything we needed and the house was clean and well organized. We loved all of the decorations and relaxing atmosphere. The hot tub was wonderful and we have nothing but great things to say about our stay. Thank you again!

The host was very good at communicating. The house is charming, impeccably clean and fully stocked. The property is beautiful. Hot tub is a nice extra. Having the creek in back was really nice!

This lovely cabin is becoming a home away from home for our family. It’s perfectly secluded for a peaceful getaway, just a stone’s throw away from several state parks with incredible views of the breathtaking PA landscape. We love the hot tub and huge yard, and spend lots of time at the fire pit near the creek. An underrated perk is the compete lack of light pollution—on a clear night, the stars are countless and you can genuinely see the Milky Way with the naked eye. The home has plenty of space for our family of four (and pup), with five comfy beds, a large sectional, and several TVs. Dave is a great and communicative host, and the check-in and check-out processes couldn’t be smoother. We can’t wait to come back next year!

Guest did not follow house rules or checkout instructions. While dishes were washed, many were left out on the counter and in the dish drainer instead of being put away. Garbage cans were not emptied. Four of the five beds were used, but only one was stripped. A towel was left outside by the hot tub, and the heat was not turned back down at checkout. Additionally, the home was left in a condition requiring a heavy clean. Furniture and items were moved throughout the house, and there were noticeable handprints, footprints, and dirt left on multiple surfaces and areas. Doors were locked upon departure, but overall checkout instructions were largely not followed. Due to the condition the home was left in and the additional cleaning required, we would not host this guest again.

The cabin was just as pictured - charming, spacious, and spotless. All of the basic supplies were stocked along with thoughtful items like binoculars to see wildlife in the yard or by the creek. The host was very quick to reply to questions. It was the perfect little getaway for us.

Great place

We loved our stay here, the place was in a good location, had a huge yard, very scenic. It’s our first time in the area but I do recommend this place.

Host is very responsive and answered all questions promptly. Cabin was better than described. Everything was there that you need to have an extended stay. Very clean and in excellent condtion. We would definitely rent here again in the future.
