About this space
Your family will be close to everything when you stay at this centrally located safe cottage. This home is located in the heart of down town La Verne. It has has been completed remolded with a brand new kitchen, bathroom, floors, open concept with new furniture. It is within walking distance to stores , restaurants and the Pomona fairplex. It’s a 5 min drive to down down Claremont and The Claremont Colleges. Renovations to the yard are in the works of creating a drought tolerant environment.
This house includes a front yard side yard and backyard with a fully fenced yard with lots of private parking.

We loved the cottage and its convenient location near La Verne and Los Angeles. La Verne was just minutes away and had everything we needed, including grocery stores, restaurants, Target, and plenty of shopping. The bikes were a wonderful bonus, and our kids had a great time riding around La Verne. We would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to coming back.

This cozy little place was perfect. It accommodated all our needs. Very clean and tidy. The host was great and very easy to get a hold of. It will not disappoint. I recommend to anyone.

An adorable and cozy cottage - we only wish we had spent more time here! But it was a great launching pad for hikes in the mountains and time on the Claremont College campuses. The place is nicely decorated and clean, and the host was quite responsive.

This is a cute little house in a great neighborhood. My child is at cal poly Pamona and it was so close to the school. Plus lots of other schools too.

Great location for us but it is a high traffic area. A bit noisy but it did not bother us inside. Cozy cottage and the beds slept very well. Very nice kitchen and living area. Only asks would be to offer a body soap for the bath and tub and a coffee offering for the kitchen. Amanda was very communicative and responsive.

Really cute cottage, and near the highway and stores. It was nice to have our own parking place since it’s on a busy street. At times we could hear road noise, but it was not an issue in the master bedroom at night.We were here when it was overly hot out. We were able to turn the mini split on in the dining room, close the other doors, and just leave the master bedroom door open. This made it cool enough for us.Two coffee pots available, both 4 cup drip and Keurig, and plenty of kitchen utensils.The owner was very responsive!

Summer Stay

We really enjoyed staying at College Cottage. The house was as pictured, had everything we needed, and was a perfect fit for exploring the area and visiting our daughter at one of the local colleges. Amanda is a wonderful host, and we loved that we could walk into old town Laverne! We would definitely stay again.

We really enjoyed our stay! The cottage is small, cozy, and very welcoming. We had plenty of room to stretch out. The hardwood floors and bay window are a nice touch. Even though the house is on a busy street, traffic noise was not an issue. Despite the June heat we were able to stay comfortable with just the ceiling fans, which is a tribute to how well the house is insulated. I enjoyed drinking my morning coffee on the back porch, and reading a novel in the afternoons by the fire pit. (If ever we stay in the winter, I'll definitely plan to use it!) We were having some work done at our house, which required we vacate for a few days. After checking in we were notified of a delay and the contractor needed an additional day. I contacted the owner (Amanda) and requested an extension, which she was able to allow. The location is great, we could run to Target for some last minute things, and we spent some time walking to Old Town LaVerne, which was really nice. We ate at a few of the restaurants and met some of the locals. Truly a wonderful experience. We will definitely look for another opportunity to stay.
