Great place loved it me and my wife had a great time definitely recommend having four-wheel drive in the winter time the hot tub did not have a filter in it which that should be recommended since the water never gets filtered when you get in it and looks bad even though that's what happens with no filter but other than that the place was wonderful we had a great time definitely will come back again really liked it the host was great they responded when I needed assistance i really like the house it was a minimalist my wife loved it very cozy and romantic for a couple

We loved our stay! We loved how close it was to all the hiking spots and stores and restaurants were fairly close also. We loved how cozy the cabin was set up it was adorable! We also left some of our kcups for the next person. Definitely will be coming back again

Absolutely lovely, I’m already planning my way back

I had an amazing experience in Hocking Hills! The area is absolutely beautiful and peaceful. The house was incredibly clean, well-maintained, and in a great location—close to everything we wanted to explore. The price was definitely worth it for such a wonderful stay. I truly enjoyed my time here and would love to come back

Quiet little property with nice outdoor area and hot tub. Cabin was decently cleaned with some dirty windows and light fixtures. Good experience that was almost ruined by a horrible mattress that was uncomfortable to say the least.

It was a nice getaway to enjoy the fall season and outdoors.

The house was small but as advertised. The hot tub was clean and convenient to use. The house was new and clean. We generally liked out stay. We were not able to use the upstairs bedroom due to limited access with the spiral stairs. The bathroom had no heat source so a little cold but manageable. The grill was advertised as gas but turned out to be electric (just took a little longer to cook).

Thanksgiving relaxation

We enjoyed our stay. Cabin was nice, clean, and cozy. We enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit. WiFi was appreciated since we could not get a cell signal. Would stay again!

It was a perfect getaway with a nice and cozy remote location

The location is perfect for exploring hocking hills, the shower was our favorite part of the cabin, and the overral modern look of the cabin was wonderful!

Discovered Hocking Hills

We enjoyed our stay and all the hikes. We grilled out and had a fire every night. The place was clean and well equipped. It’s smaller than it looks in pictures and there’s no place to hang tools and wet swimwear.

Everything we needed!!

We absolutely loved our long weekend at Rocky Falls. The cabin was gorgeous. Lots of modern amenities in a tucked away, secluded hideaway. We loved the rain shower head in the bathroom, that was a nice treat. The hot tub was fabulous and it was fun to sit in there and relax with nature. The cabin as a short drive to Hocking Hills park. Will be back!!!

Quiet Getaway

It’s a nice new build cabin and the area is extremely quiet. Very clean and comfortable. We came just to get away but a tv for relaxing in the evenings or during adverse weather would’ve been nice. The interior was smaller than pictures made it feel but it was cozy and we enjoyed our stay

Things needed at the cabin

We had a great stay! I think the cabin bathroom needs hooks to hang towels. The bedroom could use hooks to hang clothes and a TV would be a great addition for the kids. I would definitely stay again! Thank u

Great little getaway cabin!

We loved our stay at the cabin. The furniture was comfortable and had a great modern decor style. The wide slider doors made it a beautiful indoor/outdoor experience on a warm summer day. The cabin was very clean and well stocked with linens and cookware. I would just advise that if you haven’t stayed in the area before, bring in a few gallons of water for drinking since the tap water has a sulfur smell/taste.

Our stay was good but the heating cooling system was not easy to manage, as we would be hot at night but it wouldn't run even though it was warmer in the room than the thermostat was set at. It may just need further explanation by the property manager but apparently you can't manage all three units independently for individual comfort. Also, the beds were not very comfortable. There are a small amount of dishes available to use while you were there and they give you extra toilet paper and paper towel. Although we didn't use it, there is a TV now so ignore the review saying that there isn't one.

Hi there, thank you again for hosting us. I wanted to share some honest feedback that I hope is helpful for future guests.We did receive the message with the check-in and Wi-Fi information, but because we had no cell service, we weren’t able to access it until later. We didn’t locate the router right away, so it took us some time to get connected.We also found that the heating and cooling felt inconsistent — it was either too hot or too cold — and the window insulation didn’t seem to hold the temperature well. For the nightly rate, the overall value felt a bit lower than expected. The bed on the main level is also very uncomfortable and small for 2 adults in my opinion.One important safety concern: the stairs are extremely steep and slippery, and since there’s no tread, my daughter actually slipped and slid down several steps, which did injure her skin/back. I’d strongly recommend adding stair treads or some type of grip for guest safety.Lastly, adding a few more towel or coat hooks around the property would improve convenience.Thank you for taking the time to read this — I hope it’s received as constructive feedback, as that’s how it’s intended.

Rocky Falls - perfect weekend escape

My family really enjoyed our stay at Rocky Falls. The modern cabin set on a hill in the woods was immaculately clean and the right amount of cozy. The contemporary decor was a welcome contrast to the typical “rustic” look. Storage is limited so pack accordingly - we brought our groceries in an action packer that we kept behind the spiral staircase. Convenient location near Rock House, Conkles Hollow and Old Man’s Cave means you can hit all of the parks in a weekend (or even a day) and relax in the jacuzzi or by the fire afterwards. Great communication and instructions from Jake, the host. Highly recommended - we will definitely be back!

Review

The home and the location were beautiful. However, we could not get the Keurig to work and there were only two dinner plates. We had to use the tiny plates or bowls for all our meals. It would have been nice to have at least four. The only negative was that we had communicated to the property manager before booking that we would not be able to arrive until midnight due to flight schedules, but we were still charged for a full day. I was disappointed that the property manager would not consider a price discount. I've never had this experience when renting homes through VBRO. I was not looking for a free night, but had hoped we could have worked out a deal. Overall, we loved the place, but will not book it again.

Immediately upon entering, there was an odd smell in the house, but that’s nothing a little air freshener can’t fix. At first glance, the place is beautiful, but as time went on, there were several bothersome issues:- the spiral stairs are so slim and wobbly, I was terrified to use them and the one time I did, I injured my foot due to how narrow the steps are- hot tub was full of yellow/green scum on the edges on the opposite side of where the cover folds over and the water was very low/not covering the jets - online photos presented the property as if we wouldn’t be able to see another cabin from the hot tub, but that was not the case. We could see people and lights from 2 other cabins, which made stargazing more challenging than we’re used to when we stay in the Hocking Hills area - it was clear that the cabin hadn’t been fully cleaned, as there were cigarette butts and empty cigarette packs all on and around the balcony; there was blood on the windows from what I believe were birds flying into it that had never been cleaned and trailed into the house on the rugs- the water is “well” water (egg water) so it would’ve been nice to know that bottled water was an absolute must prior to arrival; this made drinking coffee or water from the sink impossible, again, an easy fix if it’s noted up front- none of the furniture is comfy (bed, chairs, couch)Aside from the items mentioned above, as well as a few other items, the residence was peaceful and we enjoyed our time.
