Bluebird Day - Lava Hideaway

Welcome to Lava Hideaway!

Come and stay in this tiny house in the heart of downtown Bend. This adorable 400 square foot home is smack dab in the middle of all of the Bend action. Lava Hideaway is blocks from Drake Park, Deschutes River and downtown. 

This home has a comfy front porch and fenced yard with a BBQ. Lava Hideaway is pet friendly and you are welcome to bring your furry friend to share your adventures. There is a king bed and a small loveseat for lounging in the small living room while watching your favorite movie. Cable and streaming capabilities are provided on the HDTV. An electric fireplace and mini split heat pump with A/C keeps you comfortable year around. There is one bathroom and no laundry facilities. Bamboo floors and concrete counters give this space a modern feel. The gourmet kitchen equipped with modern appliances is all that you will need to help create those special mealtime memories.  

If you are not walking your pet, there are two cruiser bikes to enjoy. A locked storage shed is also available for your gear. This tiny home is a great base for all of your Central Oregon adventures. Mt Bachelor Ski Resort and the Cascade Lakes are just a short drive away and are the perfect places to explore in any season.

Great location, nice yard for the dog.

Security light not working so had to use phone to light up keypad. Only had one washcloth. Living room didn’t have enough lights to read after dark. Replace the rug runners, had been peed on so our dog never settled in. The location is perfect to old downtown. Nice to have a fenced yard. Kitchen was easy to use., not cramped.

Overall wonderful spot

Perfect little getaway location for a couple. Loved having a fence yard for dog and walking distance to downtown was perfect. The only thing I wasn’t too happy with was the comfort of the bed. Other than that, it was great.

Exactly as Advertised

I loved everything about this little house. A dedicated parking spot in the back was so great for loading and unloading. The location was perfect for me as a first-timer to Bend, and the neighborhood was so quiet! (I'm a light sleeper, so this was amazing) I definitely will be back!

Great location

Great little place in an excellent location. It was clean and had everything we needed. The air conditioning was a life saver during the hot summer days and the small yard was nice for morning coffee. We were very comfortable. Definitely recommend.

Great location and perfect size

It was just my wife and I for a few nights, so this place was perfect. The neighborhood was quiet, but really close to all you need with shops, coffee, restaurants, parks, etc… Check in and out was easy! Would definitely stay here again.

Great central location, great value for the money

Compact and clean, had what we needed and in walking distance of everything. Love this spot, warm patio sun in late May mornings is a plus. Will return.

First Time Bend Visitor

The property is within walking distance of the downtown area. The McMenamins Pub breakfast was amazing and just a stones throw from the studio. The studio was perfect size for those on the go.

Great location

Small, but well-appointment home. Comfy king bed. Easy walking to everything. Only complaint is that there was no separate recycling container in the house, despite a lot of information on how to recycle.

Amazing stay!

We had the best time here! The property was perfect for our needs, well appointed, and perfectly situated in town. We parked the car and didn’t get back in it until it was time to leave; such a walkable spot! When we needed a new hairdryer, they exchanged incredibly fast. Could not recommend this spot anymore! We loved sitting out on the patio and we’ll definitely be back!

Little Lava Bend

Outstanding location- best we have ever had in Bend. The house was compact but had everything we needed to have a great time. Very good communication with the property managers. They were extremely responsive. Highly recommended!

Cute not comfy

This rental was super cute and cozy nestled in a great location. Host was kind and cottage had everything we needed. I would give this rental five stars if it wasn’t for the bed. The bed provided was wildly uncomfortable to sleep in. We both woke up in pain after tossing and turning all night and it unfortunately put a damper on our trip.

Cable television use is impossible. Waste and recycle unclear. Outside of that, cute, comfy, great location.

Snowboarding at Bachelor

Snowboarding is what brought us to Bend for the first time but the great location helped to explore the downtown very easily every day of the trip. The tiny home is perfect for two people and is stocked with everything you would need. We would definitely stay here again. Thanks

Short getaway

It was great! Very clean and excellent location. Didn’t need to contact owners during our stay because everything was good to go. However, I assume they would be very responsive if something should arise because I left an item behind and had it back in my possession just a couple days after letting them know. Overall a wonderful experience. Would stay with them again.

Location! Location! Location!

Little Lava was the perfect place for a. quick trip to Bend. It's ideally located within walking distance of Drake park and the cutest of shops, bars and restaurants. The house itself is well stocked. Typically in a tiny house-type space there is little in the way of kitchenware but all we needed was there. The management company was very quick to respond to questions, and the house was spotless upon arrival. They even had it decorated for the holidays which was a nice touch and attention to detail. Would definitely stay a Little Lava again.

Perfect location. Small.

We came into this this cute little home after paying extra to check in 2 hours early. It was freezing. (The little fake fireplace couldn’t keep it warm) (other heater was blowing cold air even though we turned it up) Internet and tv were not working. Someone showed up to talk to customer service & get it working. It was so awkward to be in this little tiny studio with a stranger in there. So we ended up leaving to downtown even though we just wanted to take a nap after arriving. The bed is super comfy but the frame isn’t well supported with the mattress, it sinks down where there isn’t bars to support it. Cute little house but needs some updates.

Quiet Escape

Fantastic location, quiet neighborhood, peaceful setting. A great spot to spend a few days. Left the car parked and walked everywhere. Listing is exactly as shown, the property managers are quick to respond to text messages. Overall a great stay!
