Superb place for family gathering

This is a brilliant place to stay. The photos on the website look good, but it is even better in reality. 21 of us had a week-long family gathering. Each family was able to occupy one of the apartments and the cottage. Rooms were all large and very well decorated. Nobody had a duff room! The best thing about it though is the pool area. The 14m pool was 28C (plenty warm enough) and crystal clear. From the pool area you have lovely views across the valley and back up to the house. By the pool is a hot tub and excellent bar/kitchen/bbq area. Also a ping-pong table by the pool got loads of use. We spent most of the time there. There is also a big table down in the covered pool house which we could all sit round for meals. And another big table up on the terrace of the house for some of the evening meals. We mostly self-catered and the facilities were excellent. However, one night Tanja helped us arrange a chef to come and feed us a gourmet meal. yum. She also arrange for Carla to come and do a couple of hours washing up for us each evening. Tanja and her husband were excellent hosts. Tanja in particular went out of her way to ensure we had a good time. She booked us a Canoe trip, arranged for the kids to ride the horses which are kept in the valley, sorted out train logistics, entertained us etc etc Highly recommend La Fauconnie. Hopefully one day we will be back for another spot of luxury in this fantastic part of France.

Wonderful holiday

We stayed in here with 18 family and friends for my 40th Birthday. The House was everything we could have wished for, beautiful rooms, very clean and lots of space. The pool area and gardens again were wonderful, every detail had been thought of, Including an outside kitchen with Oven, fridge freezer & coffee machine. There was also a covered outdoor dining area & BBQ. Tanja was a great host she helped us organise for shopping to be delivered for our arrival, horse riding, kayaking and she arranged a meal for us in Bergerac at a lovely restaurant called Le vin quatre organising Taxis to and from the restaurant. I would highly recommend this property and hope that one day we could go back again.

Incredible venue & holiday!

Wow wow and wow! Even though the photos of this venue are beautiful they still can't do it justice. I booked a trip for 21 women to travel to the Dordogne for a luxury hen weekend and we chose the Domaine de la Fauconnie as it looked stunning, was in a great location near to the airport and was great value for money. It completely exceeded our expectations and we were blown away with it all - if you are looking at booking this venue for a group then you won't be disappointed. The house is located up a long drive, approx 3 mins from the little village Campsegret - where there is a little boulangerie where you can order to collect freshly baked croissants and bread every morning. It is a 20minute taxi ride from the airport and approx 10min drive to the big supermarket called Intermarche on the N21. Tanja (the owner) was so helpful throughout the booking process and didn't stop when we arrived - helping us book taxis, sort out directions to venues we had booked and so on. The venue itself is stunning and the grounds are amazing. We went mid-April 2017 and the temperature was around 20-25degrees Celsius, so a great temperature and we were able to sit outside and enjoy the sunset with a glass of local wine. It has a great swimming pool, but it was a little too cool for us (given the time of year) - but we used the hot tub every day! All of the bedrooms have been finished to a very high standard, the beds were very comfortable and each room was stunning. The downstairs was great too, with a huge dining table that could accommodate all 21 of us! We did a murder mystery on the first night so the dining room was perfect for this. They also have a great BBQ area down besides the pool with seating for everyone. Tanja is currently in the process of building an Orangery at the back of the house for weddings - which will be stunning when it is complete. She ensured that no works were going on during our stay so we didn't see any workmen / hear any noise. I would love to return someday and repeat the fun we had - Domaine de la Fauconnie was an absolute dream venue! Tips: - There are literally no taxis in this area. On your first day here I would recommend you book all of the taxis you need with the taxi company who brings you from the airport. - Take a speaker with you (for your iphone) as there are none at the chateau that I know about. I didn't take one and that is my one big regret as it would've been great to have some music playing!

An amazing week away!

As a family group of 15 we enjoyed a fantastic week away at Domaine de le Fauconnie. From the décor inside to the spectacular grounds and swimming pool complex, it felt as though we had stepped into a boutique hotel reserved just for us. Facilities were second to none and dining either by the pool during the day or on the terrace in the evening we were able to spend quality time together as a group and unwind. Definitely one to recommend!
