A character home Located in the heart of Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, Canada. Guests are sure to enjoy a memorable stay in this fully furnished home. Gracious first floor with modern kitchen, dining area, living room, and den.Wide baseboards, hardwood floors and lead glass windows. The house has a fully renovated modern kitchen, two new bathrooms, and a new back deck with gas BBQ. Relax in the treed back yard, play lawn games ( games provided ) or toast marshmallows on the fire pit ( wood provided ). You will be glad you chose this over a hotel. We have

We love animals and Pets certainly are negotiable.

The area is great for walking, friendly neighbours, old established trees in the yards, sidewalks, and off street parking. Walking distance to downtown area or a 5 minute drive to the malls if you are so inclined. Golf, beaches, skiing are all within reasonable distances. If you are a foodie make sure to check out the Italian, Sault Ste Marie has great restaurants that you won't find anywhere else.

Note - we have a long term rental till August 2025 and have almost decided to sell at that point. You will see that the calendar is blocked - but please check in periodically to see if we change our minds. It's been a great 12 years - met lots of super interesting guests. Stay safe. Jim

Fantastic Stay

This property is in a quiet neighborhood, and the house is very comfortable. The kitchen is very well stocked.

Home away from home

This was a lovely place to stay for our visit with family in the area. The home is clean and cozy and the host was welcoming and helpful.

Wonderful stay

Beautiful house with lots of amenities and historic charm! Great communication with host. We were made to feel very welcome and that the house was ours to make use of as needed.

A Warm Welcome in Sault Ste. Marie

Beautiful home and fantastic hosts - an absolute gem!

Every detail is thought of and you couldn't find a more wonderful place to stay or a more wonderful host. We appreciated everything about this home and would have liked to have stayed longer if our trip allowed for it. Hope to travel back to the area someday and stay here again!

Sault gem

Great place to base out of for the Sault region. Nicest kitchen we have ever had in a VRBO rental. Jim and Sandy are great hosts. Would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Fall Vacation

My husband and I enjoyed such a delightful welcome. There was our kind of 60s music playing when we arrived and a splendid arrangement of charcuterie delights. I was very impressed with the super clean floors and Jim had the BBQ ready to use with an extra propane tank. Sandy's artwork throughout the house was a delight to view. My husband and I look forward to coming back again some time in the future.

Family gathering

The house was perfect for family gathering in Sault Ste. Marie for a celebration of life for our mother. It was comfortable and well equipped and the owner, Jim, was more than helpful and accommodating.

Wonderful stay and family time!

Wonderful place to stay! Has everything you need and more! Visiting the Sault to attend a wedding and were able to bring our family together for a wonderful visit for a few days. From a backyard fire with smores, cooking together in the well equipped kitchen, or just hanging out, the home provided us with all we needed and more. Jim is a wonderful host! Highly recommend!

A perfect home away from home!

Jim is the perfect host. There is nothing to want or need either, Jim and his wife have everything laid out to make your stay enjoyable. If you enjoy cooking, the house is equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed the outdoor grill too. The house is well decorated and very homey. We really enjoyed our stay. Great location too.

Beautiful Home

We had a great time visiting in the Sault, and had a wonderful stay in this home. The charactor and charm was amazing. The owners were so helpful and friendly. We loved the thoughtful welcome basket complete with homemade muffins and coffee creamer in the fridge (so thoughtful after a long day of travel to be able to wake up and have coffee without running out). We would definitly stay here again!

The perfect place to stay, beautiful and ultimate hospitality!!

Absolutely beautiful restored home, while keeping all the old charm, stunning. So comfortable it's like a vacation away from home, and everything (believe me, everything) is provided for you. Show up with food & drink and you're all set. Wonderful management, hospitality to the max. We will definitely return!! Loved our stay. Thank you Jim, you're a pleasure to work with.
