We did like the location—close to the beautiful Rose Gardens and also close to downtown. We walked to each of these places with no trouble. The property had everything we needed for our stay. Eldin responded back in a timely manner and was courteous and helpful.We do have some mobility issues and did not realize it was a second floor space, but our son helped us move in and out. Otherwise we were able to manage okay.The bed was a queen and low to the floor but it was comfortable and we had no trouble sleeping at night. Just be aware if that would be an issue.

A great location for those attending the downtown Bethlehem festivals like the Celtic Classic, just a short walk away! Very cozy, I highly recommend!

Overall I had a nice stay at the Downtown Hive. Communications with Eldin were usually prompt. I had some trouble with the noise when trying to sleep. The bedroom is right on a main street and there is a fire station a block away, plus throw in some nearby train whistles and I felt like I was in the scene from My Cousin Vinny! Running the portable a/c unit in the bedroom helped a little but it was having issues and kept shutting off. Certainly nothing the host could do about the noises, just pointing it out for any light sleepers to be aware! Other than that, the unit was comfortable and had just about anything I needed. I probably would look for something more off the main street for the future just so I could avoid all the traffic noise.

The listing did not disclose that this is a second story walk up. My husband and I both have some mobility issues and the steps are very challenging and felt unsafe for us to haul our luggage. We contacted the host about an early check in and he was going to check with the cleaning people to see if that was possible and never got back to us. After we expressed our concern about the 2 story walk up, which we did not learn about until we received the check in instructions just a couple of hours ahead of check in, the host ghosted us for the rest of our stay and did not respond at all.Would not stay here again.

You were not "ghosted" by any means. We responded to all of your requests like early check in and stairs. You asked to cancel the reservation at check-in but details regarding the steps and 2nd floor are in the listing. We STILL tried to make things right for you and gave you a $100 refund. We did our best to help you and make things right and in return we get a low 4/10 review.

Had a very quick nice stay here this past weekend. We came to go to the Christkindlmarkt and do some of the activities in the area. This place was very close to everything and there was no trouble parking. The cute art deco style apartment was very clean. The owners were very responsive.

Super clean and comfortable for our three night stay. Great location with ample parking, quick and easy to get to shops, restaurants and the local colleges. We were able to watch the St. Patrick’s Day parade from the front porch, which was a fun surprise! Check-in was easy and the host responded quickly to my questions. We really appreciated the k-cups and creamer for coffee in the morning and the ample toilet paper, dish soap, etc so we didn’t have to make an extra trip to the store for a long weekend. We will stay again next time we’re in the area!

Eldin was very responsive. We had a few minor things that we had to reach him for and he was excellent! The place is very cute and is walkable to the historic downtown. Highly recommend!

The Hive is a beautifully appointed, quiet spot. Access instructions were clear and simple. Everything was immaculately clean. Parking was ample and close by. And what's not to love about a rental that has a copy of "Jonathan Strange and Mr. Norrell" on the bookshelf!

So, we aren’t from here or anywhere near this place. From the listing - it seems you’re getting a separate townhome apartment. You are not. You’re getting a sketchy apartment inside that townhome. In the back yard, if you want to call it that, the neighbors are smoking dope. There is no “back or side porch” - it’s a metal railway like what you see in alley ways leading to the dope out back. Couldn’t stay here because my spouse and I are law enforcement, listing was inaccurate and heavily fluffed for what’s provided, and owner never responded post check in time. I’ve been a host before - I would NEVER do this to a guest. And I highly recommend researching your area before booking this. The wind creek casino hotel was fancy, clean, and by far a better and safer location for a comparable price.

Had a great stay - walkable to Bethelem Main St for shops/restaurants. Even a small grocery a few blocks away. Had no issue with free parking that was very close to the front door. It is on the 2nd floor - I may have missed that in the listing but important to note - it’s an older building so the stairs are a bit steep. Host was reasonably responsive - waited a little bit for WiFi password as it wasn’t provided with check in information. Otherwise no issues - be mindful of the electronic lock - if it seems to be struggling to lock it might be the battery so be sure to reach out so that it doesn’t stop working. I would definitely stay here again - great place!

Quaint Stay. Poor Host

Cute place. Non communicative host after the check in process. Asked for WiFi password and question about additional linens and “crickets” for 2 days. Snowed 6 inches and no one shoveled sidewalk or steps to front door.

This was a great location a short walk from downtown. Communication with the hosts was great leading up to and during our stay. Street parking was easy to find as well. I highly recommend this place!
