Great place, beautiful location and lovely hosts. Donatella and Marco were lovely, very kind and very helpful. They both communicated throughout our stay and helped us with suggestions to do things locally. Highly recommend the place and hope to come back again sometime in the future.

A once in a lifetime experience

Marco was a wonderful host and very responsive and helpful with recommendations and reservations. The actual villa is beautiful and comfortable and the rooftop terrace is amazing!!

All the reviews were accurate, Marco went out of his way every step of the way to help make our stay even better than expected, from hiking and restaurant suggestion to setting up our boat rental and the cooking lessons. Cooking lessons may have been the highlight with Chef Nausica. We learned lots and enjoyed a special meal. We really could not have had a better experience. Minori was the perfect location for my wife and I. We were able to visit Positano but return to Minori that is far less touristy. Thank you Marco and team!

Best place on Amalfi!

Family of 6 and our first time in Amalfi. We loved staying in Minori at this place. The town was small with plenty of restaurant and boating options and literally a 5 min walk from the villa. Marco was great. Having essentially a concierge at your fingertips in Amalfi is very useful. They arranged all of our transport, a pizza making class and even dinner reservations/recommendations. Your place comes fully stocked. No need for groceries. And with a hot tub, sauna and steam option, what’s not to love. We would definately stay here again.

Our stay in Minori at Villa Dorotea was exceptional and our host went above and beyond in every way to ensure that we had the experience we wanted to have. A few days ahead of time, we had communication with Marco and the team ensuring that our transportation to the villa was smooth. Marco picked us right up from the ferry! This is a good idea as it's a challenging walk with luggage if you're doing that for the first time. As we did not have a planned itinerary; rather, just some ideas about what we might want to do. Marco showed us around, booked everything we wanted and from there we just enjoyed the rest of our trip. It's worth also calling out that everyone who we came in contact with was exceptional, expert, kind, and lovely -- From our time getting a private tour of the Lemon Groves of Ravello to making pizza on the terrace with Nausica and even our driver from the villa to the airport at the end of our stay -- This really goes down as one of the favorite places I've ever been. Thank you for making it special, memorable, and the perfect way to end our trip to Italy.

Villa Dorotea was an absolutely wonderful place to stay, and we wish we could have stayed longer!The rooftop terrace offers breathtaking views of the Amalfi Coast, and the hot tub was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring while taking in the incredible scenery. The villa itself was spotless, comfortable, and the air conditioning was fantastic—a much-appreciated relief after spending a very hot week traveling throughout Italy.The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed. There is also a convenient local market just a short walk away for fresh groceries, bread, wine, and other essentials.What truly made our stay exceptional was Marco. From the moment we arrived, he welcomed us warmly and even carried all of our luggage to the villa. He went above and beyond to make sure we had an unforgettable experience, provided excellent recommendations for tours and restaurants, personally walked us to the beach club to ensure everything was taken care of, and even offered to take my husband to buy a new pair of sunglasses after his broke. Marco is incredibly kind, attentive, and always available to help with anything you need.We were disappointed that we didn't have enough time to enjoy everything Villa Dorotea has to offer, especially the cooking class, but that's just another reason for us to come back.If we're ever fortunate enough to return to the Amalfi Coast, Villa Dorotea will absolutely be our first choice. We highly recommend it to anyone.

The perfect location for a low key relaxing week. Our family of four truly enjoyed our first time in this magical place. Our main goal was to relax and that we did. The villa was clean & ready for us on our arrival. Beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space to find a quiet corner if needed. The kitchen was outfitted with everything we could need to fix a quick meal. We found a local market and were able to enjoy breakfast in the villa each day. The 3rd floor terrace is the star of the place & was where we spent the majority of our time, lounging and enjoying the view. There were plenty of shady spots along with a fridge and toilet. We did venture down to the sea a few times - a mere 238 steps down for a refreshing dip. The walk is worth it even if you don't swim. The cove offered a small area of us float and relax before making the trek back up. Our gracious hosts were wonderful offering their services to arrange local activities or make us a reservation at a recommended restaurant. They arranged a surprise welcome aperitifs for my family along with a birthday cake for my husband. We also arranged for a tour of a lemon farm where we met with the owners and were treated to some of their homemade treats. It was a beautiful walk and wonderful to have a connection with a local family. They were extremely helpful every step of the way.

Marco is without a doubt the most gracious and attentive host we have ever had. He greeted us when we arrived, assisted with luggage. He helped us arrange transportation (Civitecchia cruise port and FCO airport transfers as well as local rides) which is critical as taxis and ubers are very difficult to get. The views from the rooftop terrace are amazing and worth every step. Marco arranged a pasta class at the property with a nationally known chef that was phenomenal. Marco saw to our every need and ensured that we were well taken care of.Be aware that the Amalfi coast can be challenging to get around and the onsite parking will only accommodate small vehicles. Having Marco arrange rides is highly advised.

Beautiful villa and great location! We have traveled a lot and this was by far the nicest place we have stayed. The terraces are huge and provide an amazing view of the water and coast. We spent every evening in the hot tub at sunset. The three large bedrooms suited our family of four and provided everyone some personal space at the end of the day. We also took advantage of the walkout terrace on the two bedrooms overlooking the water. It was very warm and the air conditioning provided some nice relief.Normally we use the kitchen quite a bit when we travel but we dined at the great restaurants in town. The villa was completely stocked with beverages and snacks for those not wanting to venture down the hill to the grocery store. Kids also used the gym to catch a quick workout.Minori is a beautiful and quaint town and suited us well. We found it much less crowded than the other coastal towns.Marco was a great host and took care of everything we needed. Check in and check out easy and we certainly needed his help parking in the garage. Be careful if you drive as the roads are very windy and narrow.

Wonderfully relaxing Villa!

Villa Dorotea is a lovely getaway with access to the quaint town of Minori. The jacuzzi and very comfortable beds were a welcome comfort from each of our day’s journey around the Amalfi Coast. The morning’s were especially radiant on the top deck with a breathtaking ocean view. Perfect place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee. Villa Dorotea staff were very responsive to our inquires. Recommend a couple additions to the property description so future guests will have a better picture of the property. - The property is a third level walk up (52 stairs) with a very small elevator available. - Access to the villa from Minori after climbing the 150 steps requires walking 200m uphill on a narrow street with no sidewalks. This is customary and drivers know to expect pedestrians. Recommend expanding the welcome book to include instructions for how to operate the appliances and a price list for the food and beverages available. We very much enjoyed our week at Villa Dorotea and appreciated the excellent service.

Marco is the best. He helped us get in and out of the garage on a very busy street. He was always available whenever we needed him. The views from the patio were amazing. Couldn't ask for a better place to go in Ravello. Was very happy with the place and would recommend to anyone.

Donatella and Marco were excellent hosts and wonderful to work with, they helped us to arrange lovely excursions, reservations, and very helpful transportation. The villa is in a great location and is very comfortable, the terrace has astounding views and a beautiful dining area. You do have to be prepared to carry your meals up several flights of stairs! As with virtually all properties on the Amalfi coast there are a lot of stairs, but it works off your wine and pasta! Very helpful to have beverages stocked (for purchase) on arrival. We very much enjoyed our stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Thank you Donatella and Marco for everything!
