Elysium is located in the exclusive 'Purgatory Cove' waterfront neighbourhood in Whiskey Harbour, Ontario, Canada. It is characterized by larger Cape Cod style seasonal homes on larger lot sizes. It makes-up part of Whiskey Harbour-Hobsons Harbour-Spry Shores areas. Often referred to by the locals as an area for the well-healed, as of 2023 it is the most affluent neighbourhood in the Pike Bay area as donated by property values with an average dwelling value of +10% vs the remainder of the area.
Although "Purgatory Cove" is in fact the name of the cove in the area, the term generally applies to the neighbourhood as a whole.
