Just 7 min walk to 'Playa Las Ballenas ', which some may consider one of the most desirable beaches in Las Terrenas. Approximately two miles of soft sandy beach without crowds of people while observing beautiful sunrises or sunsets is just fascinating...... A beautiful property. Well kept and furnished and comes with a nice pool to chill on hot days. Location is great too. 5 min drive from restaurants, bar and beach. Excellent hosts. Very attentive to our needs during the trip. Highly recommend it for a family or friends trip. Would definitely come back

Stephanie was very accommodating. Communication was excellent. Cleaning staff was truly helpful! Property was beautiful and had every amenity needed for me and my family. The property was close to beaches, restaurant’s and night life and made this unforgettable experience for my family so fun. I will absolutely rent this place again! Definitely recommend 100%!!!!!!!!

Our family of 6 had a great stay everything we needed was provided. Hair dryer was missing but one was purchased the next day.We loved having the private pool to come back too on hot days and the comfortable living room with tv on rainy days.Communication with the host was excellent always got back to us within the hour.The security staff was friendly and helpful.Location is perfect everything is within walking distance. We rented an ATV for our stay so we could explore the endless beaches and having a secure place to park it put us at ease.Only negative thing i can say is due to the lush landscape there are frogs/insects that make a lot of noise at night so pack earplugs!

Tropical Getaway

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It was very clean and well maintained. The outside grounds were beautiful and we loved the pool. I definitely will be looking to book again with friends or family in the future.

Amazing stay

The property is beautiful, specially if you love nature. The property is located in a small private area that has approximately a total of 9-10 villas. The area is quiet, clean, safe, close to the beach, and restaurants.The pool and the upstairs terrace was an added bonus. We will definitely return.

Great stay!

Communication was excellent and Stephanie and staff provided us with all the comforts for a wonderful vacation. A short walk to the beach provided us with lots of beach time and restaurants in Las Terrenas are plentiful. I especially recommend the Italian restaurant in the Spanish plaza and the French bakery! And if you don’t feel like going out I recommend downloading the Komida app and ordering in. They are super fast and reliable. Thank you for a great vacation!

The property was in excellent condition 👌....The host was very responsive to questions. Walkable distance to the beach. Gated property with 24 hour Security personnel. Excellent place for pool and beach to enjoy with family.

The villa was very clean and fresh. The linens provided were in great condition, as were the towels for the pool. Some updating of appliances are needed as the toaster oven did not work, and the plug in toaster only toasted one side of the bread. As well, we would have appreciated a cutting board on which to prepare meals, and sharp knives as well.The location of the villa was the big selling feature for us, as it is a very reasonable walk to the restaurants, shops, and the beach. We felt very safe in the neighbourhood, and the security attendant was very informative and helpful. The pool was refreshing and a great way to relax during the heat.

Great stay, great place

Even though was some struggle trying to get to the site,, host replied on time. We had assistance every time we needed it. I would like to make just one suggestion, an absorbant mat for the entrance to the house from the the pool, very slippery floor. We had a great time. Thank you so much Stephanie

This place is amazing! Situated just off the main drag in the center of the worlds most beautiful beaches making up an astounding coastline. Orientation of the property is such that the house remains cool throughout the day and the lovely saltwater pool is shaded a majority of the day, with a few hours of sun for those solar bathing moments. Host is super responsive and accommodating, even in the midst of a national power outage! The resident security lead Wilguens is also a real treasure and super helpful. 5g purified water available at the gate for 200 pesos, so never too far in times of need. Minutes away from an incredible Pescaderia on the way to Playa Ballenas or from Franco and his collection of buggy’s, four wheelers, and excusions. Many beaches, restaurants, tiendas, mercados, and cantinas within 10 min walk or three min drive.

We stayed at this property for 28 days. Unfortunately, our experience included several significant issues.Cleanliness in the kitchen and bathrooms did not meet the standard we expected for a long-term rental, nor did the overall condition of the property. During our stay, we experienced multiple maintenance and utility problems, including hot water outages, appliance issues, and a lack of gas for cooking. Many of these problems required repeated follow-up.At the time of booking, the listing stated that prices included all fees with no hidden charges. However, after booking and making our travel arrangements, we were advised that electricity costs would be our responsibility, which was unexpected based on that description.Overall, the stay involved more challenges than enjoyment, and we hope these issues are addressed for future guests.A partial refund was ultimately provided following our stay, which we appreciated.

unfortunately your stay was after a island wide power outage after a storm causing some problems . Naturally out of my control . Any unforeseen circumstances that was communicated we tried our best to make your stay comfortable with many accommodations including doing laundry for your family buying new appliances that were in working condition before your arrival. There were numerous things that were made to try to keep you and your family happy . We will always strive to make the stay at Villa Leon Azul memorable and comfortable.

I would like to start with the Villa itself, is good and has tremendous potential. The issues I experienced are all about upkeep. Things in the villa can use some updating, couldn’t turn the stove on. Lighters that were provided didn’t work, I had to go buy a lighter myself. Cleaning should be better. In the kitchen it smelled like cat urine and I’m highly allergic to cats so I had to stay away from the kitchen, even after my wife cleaned the kitchen garbage. Toilet on the main floor was dirty, and in the master bedroom garbage used pepto bismal cups were left. The host was responsive and tried to help but we couldn’t wait for someone to come clean, when we were already checked in and actively in the villa. On the last day, we have to pay for electricity but no one showed up. I think miscommunication was the reason. Checkout is at 11 someone should be there at 11 to collect what was owed. I waited an extra 30 minutes Had to leave due to a time sensitive event.

Villa très bien placé et très jolie décorée avec goût. Un petit rafraîchissement du pommeau de douche à l’étage et ce serait parfait. Je recommande fortement cette villa !
