Sunset Pointe 1 BR, 2BA Garden Apartment

We understand your families health and well being is very important. The Pointe House apartment is in a private single family residence. We, the owners, are not on the property when the apartment is rented so you would be the only ones in the building. Of course, we have a caretaker that lives on site if you should need anything. We do share the pool, 2 docks, and 3 rooftop viewing decks with 12 other units but since we are a small property these areas are never crowded.

On first floor of private residence in Placencia Village, Belize surrounded by water on three sides. For the couple who wants total privacy, yet just a five minute walk into the village. Covered private porches that look onto a lovely garden, tropical mangroves, and the Caribbean Sea.

Furnished in Belize tropical rattan, beautiful local artwork, and all full size, stainless steel appliances plus washer and dryer.

Our local guide will pick you up onsite for offshore trips to reef and island hopping or land adventures to Mayan ruins, caves, ziplining, waterfalls, horseback riding, or hiking the Jaguar Cockscomb Preserve. Property includes a 24/7 onsite care taker, pool, jaccuzi, and two docks. Come enjoy Placencia Village, Belize!

Wonderful

Perfect! Lovely place just a short bike ride into the village. The caretakers were fantastic. Unobtrusive but available. This place is a real Belizean gem!

Excellent place to stay

The place and location are incredible. It was a beautiful place to stay with great views of the water. The bikes were helpful to get around. Rosa was very nice and helpful.

Great Place

Excellent location, everything smooth about checking in and the workings of the house. The swimming beach is in town, a few hundred yards away, but we enjoyed sitting on the docks or in the palapa, or using the pool.

A quiet and very beautifully designed and crafted home.The locally painted, and carved wood decor allows you to be living in a gallery.Everywhere you look inside and out is breathtaking beauty.The Caribbean surrounds the dock with local boat traffic on the canal.Treat yourself!

Placencia Sunset Pointe

We very much enjoyed the property. The pool was very nice and we enjoyed a daily swim. The kayaks were fun to use in the canal and close to shore. Our only wish is that we could have had access to the beautiful views from the roof deck.

Fishing headquarters

Absolutely great place to stay in Placencia. Fishing charter was Charlie Leslie. Picked us up and dropped off at the dock and brief walk into town for dinners. Never got into the pool but was well kept and beautiful grounds.

Fantastic location

Sunset Point has everything you need for a wonderful vacation. Bikes, kayaks, comfortable furnishings, well equipped kitchen, beautiful pool, dock and within walking distance of shops, restaurants, bars and beaches. Thank you Janis, Eric, Francisco and family

Belizean Dreaming

Wonderful

It was nicer and larger we felt than the photos indicated we felt. Spotlessly clean, great AC, Safe. Quiet. Lovely view of the expansive tropic gardens off the beautiful decks. 7 minutes on a bike into the center of town.

The Pointe House

Beautiful guest house at Sunset Pointe! This property had all the comforts of home and a million dollar view. On our arrival the caretakers had placed flowers in every room. We appreciated the extra touches. Everyone was friendly, accomodating, and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay and highly recommend Sunset Pointe.

Breathtaking views, beautiful property, wonderful caretaker and guide

We had a wonderful stay at Sunset Pointe in Placencia. It rained quite a bit, so we opted to rent a golf cart in town to make our travels in the rain a bit easier. The home is well appointed, secluded and just as described in the listing. Francisco was great and ensured we were well taken care of during our stay and Alfred was a wonderful guide, from snorkeling, fishing to hiking through Mayan ruins and waterfalls in the mountains.

Quiet & Relaxing

We have stayed at Sunset Pointe several times. We love the pier with palapa with the great sea breeze for afternoon naps. The pool is perfect for cooling off after a day shopping or snorkeling or a late night swim. The staff is always available to answer any questions. Bicycles are great for the short ride to eat out if you don't have a rental car. I'm sure we will be back again.

INCREDIBLE!!!!!

This property is the best I've ever stayed in. It is perfectly situated with complete quiet and privacy! It is immaculate and the grounds are constantly being groomed. The pool and hot tub were so incredible clean and lots of fun! The property owner is a doll and responds to any enquiries immediately as does the onsite care taker. It's no even a question of "if" we will back, but rather "when"! OH.. and I've never met friendlier locals! The people are amazing!!!

Lodging Facilities

Pros: very clean condo, nice garden view, modern kitchen with new appliances, very secure and safe cons: they use a septic system and there can not put toilet paper in the commode which is unsanitary and can smell as no room service. Problem with electrical system and lighting was a bit deem due burned out bulbs which made it difficult for reading. Lighting in hallway leading in and out of building were out and had to use cellphones light to see door key way. Unsettling at night.

PERFECT!!!!

By far the best spot on the Peninsula. Francisco was awesome. Capt Alfred put us on fish. Cozy Cove was our favorite spot for Meals. Tudi Fruti ice cream is to die for. Yoli was so nice to us. CAtch your fish and let her fix it for you!! The unit was in best spot for privacy. The inside is very nice also. Pool was beautiful. Plan on coming back soon with my girls. Thanks Eric and Janice!!!

Always Amazing!

Best location in all of Placencia to stay. Easy to dun to town for dining, grabbing groceries or shopping the shops. We pick up fresh fish from the local fishermen down by the pier and enjoy cooking at the condo. Several of the restaurants are closed during slow season (Sept and Oct). But we enjoy having access to fresh fish. Great referrals for guides to take you fishing. Our kids went fly fishing and had a really good time with Dan Castellanos. We have tried other places and regretted it. We will always stay at Sunset Pointe.

Pointe house

Great except mattress. When you stay at a nice property and spend a 1/3 of your vacation time in bed, I would expect a good mattress. The mattress was worn out with visible dips and very uncomfortable on my back. Other than this the property was amazing.

Great place! Super clean, very comfortable.

This is a wonderful apartment. Perfect for two people. Close enough to restaurants and stores that you can walk (a little over 1/2 mile to closest restaurant) but far enough away so it’s quiet. Gorgeous deck with a nice breeze. Great pool and the property manager is awesome. The owner was a wonderful help with questions. The kitchen has everything you need and the bed is super comfy. Even though you are directly on the water, you cannot see it from the apartment or deck, there is vegetation blocking the view. But there are two docks you can sit on to watch the water. Two thumbs up in this property. Great place.

Unbelizebel place

Wow what a wonderful and beautiful house to stay in. Everything was great including the caretaker and his family. They were very helpful. Alfred the tour guide and close personal friend to the owners took us snorkeling, fishing, and on a tour of the Monkey River. Haven't ever had a better vacation or better place to stay in. Janis was always easy to contact and very helpful on how and when to reach her beautiful home. We went in August which was very humid but we had no rain and the village was a few minute bike ride. The locals are very friendly and they speak English which was helpful. I plan to return as soon as possible.

My husband and I have owned a home in Placencia for 13 years. We loved visiting the Florida Keys until it became so crowded with people and boats. The Peninsula and Placencia remind us of what the Keys and Key West must have been like 75 or 100 years ago.

Where else in the world can you dive or fish on the second longest Barrier Reef in the world in the morning and cave or hike through pristine jungle mountains and go to waterfalls in the afternoon.

We love it here because no other country in Central America offers so much for so little effort in such a tiny land mass. Add to this the environmentally caring infrastructure and English speaking, friendly, laid-back people and you soon realize that Belize really does have it all.
