About this space
A cute, stylish and private space with everything you need to enjoy yourself here in the heart of Austin, TX. This space is a second story walk up with private access & keyless entry. We call it a canopy Bungalow because it's nestled up in the trees above our home.

We are an easy mile stroll down to Barton Springs & Zilker Park ( which hosts ACL & many other festivals throughout the year!)

Great food & Music venues are walkable in minutes.

Full chef's kitchen ( good knives, cast irons & gas range!)
Luxurious bathroom experience
Comfortable queen bed with ceiling fan & dedicated mini split in the bedroom!
Easy walkable access to outdoors, music & food scene!
Guest access
Private access through driveway to dedicated back stairwell. This leads to a private sun porch!

Bottom level dwelling is a private home, the backyard is not included in this listing to ensure privacy for the home owner.

Quiet luxury in the treetops…

These days it’s easier to sell the promise of an exceptional stay than it is to deliver one. This was my first VRBO booking and I was quite nervous because I knew I would have to live with my choice for ~4 weeks! The property and its host(s) really delivered! Imagine my relief :) The photos fail to capture the charm and attention to detail the property offers guests. I felt right at home, while never shaking the feeling l was being treated to a lux hotel suite. The precise finishing of the living space(s), choice views of tree line, natural daytime lighting and fully controllable evening glow, the full kitchen & laundry — all contributed to my daily joy! I had packed several items to make my stay more comfortable (just-in-case), all rendered useless because the property already had them onsite (and better versions for that matter.) There will always be things that are out of our control, whether you are a host or guest. The host(s) anticipated my needs and were communicative, empathetic, and gracious throughout my stay. Can’t wait to visit again next time I’m in the Austin area. Cheers.

This place is great, walking distance to great restaurants. The host went above and beyond one night and covered my bike up when it started raining!

Beautiful, Clean and Great Location

Perfect for two, spotless and new, private and secure. Especially loved the shower and gas stove. Custom cabinetry, tile work and personally selected artwork made this a wonderful alternative to a hotel. Great hosts. Will definitely stay here again!

Brand new and stylish bungalow dream!

I absolutely loved my stay at Dan and Katie's. The bungalow is absolutely gorgeous - completely brand new and gorgeously renovated / decorated (and all done by themselves I learned!). They have thought of everything - such wonderful attention to details to make your stay comfortable and very elevated. Dan and Katie were both incredibly friendly and hospitable. I can't wait to come back again - it's a really magical spot in the best location with the most lovely hosts!

Great location

Beautiful place. Great location. Super easy to Uber around town. Highly recommend. Everything feels new. Bathroom is amazing. Comfortable bed.
