The location was perfect for the volleyball tournament. We had a great time and would come back to visit for sure! Besides having to bring our own beach towels, all of the accommodations were perfect!

Loved everything!! Clean, walking distance to a lot, didn’t know how to work garbage disposal maintenance came up within 30 minutes. Great experience

Overall the stay was amazing for three couples and four children. Brief walk to the pool and beach. The only issue we had was there was nothing in the description about paying for parking for the room that you rent. You are only allowed TWO parking passes so if multiple families come, as the facility said “good luck finding other parking somewhere else.”

We’re so happy to hear your group had an amazing stay and enjoyed the easy access to the pool and beach! Island Winds truly has one of the best locations in Gulf Shores. We’re sorry there was some confusion regarding parking. Under the Additional Amenities section of the property description, paid onsite parking is noted, and your personalized digital guestbook—sent several times prior to arrival—also includes detailed parking information and instructions for purchasing passes. Parking fees and the two-pass limit are established and managed by the building’s HOA. Regrettably, complimentary parking is very hard to come by along the beachfront. We appreciate you staying with us and hope all three families will come back and enjoy Island Winds again soon!

A day at the beach

Condo was clean and well kept. View of the Gulf was awesome from the large balcony. Walking distance to main attractions. Only negative was there was a $50 parking fee for renters and guest.

Thank you for the great review, Matt. We're so glad you had a wonderful time. Island Winds has one of the best locations on the beach-so close to everything. Parking is a common sticking point around here-it's scarce and the HOAs charge $50 or more per pass. We hope that didn't put too much of a damper on your trip. We can't wait to welcome you back again soon!

Parking

The Condo itself is great. The parking sucked. $50 per parking pass and maximum of 2. I have stayed at many condos/hotels and NEVER had to pay for parking after already paying for the room itself. My father in law had to park next door in a paid parking lot as well because they refused to give us 3 passes for our lot and his was cheaper than ours!!!! I doubt we will be back.
