This was the perfect place for a quiet and unique weekend away from the kids. Totally walkable, we didn't take the car out once. We hiked. We ate. We went to a show. We enjoyed the loft bed and bathtub and it was a perfect place for us.

Very charming spot, perfect for two. The carriage house has everything you need for a long weekend in town. Easy to make a meal in the cozy kitchen or walk five minutes to dining in the heart of GV. The house is tall and narrow so you must be cool with stairs. Check in was easy and the heat kept us nice and warm in the mid and upper floors. Dedicated parking was great.

This is a cute spot for people who don’t mind stairs or tiny ladders up to their sleep space. Also no tv in the home. The initial room you come into is a washer/dryer basement with a pseudo lounge area. The main floor has the kitchen/ living area and bathroom. Very steep stairs/ladder to the final level which was nice with lots of ventilation options. It was clean, well outfitted in the kitchen and toiletries, and overall a nice space.

Great property! We parked our car Friday night and didn’t drive again until we left on Sunday. It was so convenient being a block off Main St. We walked everywhere. The Carriage House was cozy and clean. We loved it and would definitely stay here again.

This tiny home was so cute! Our two kids slept on the air mattress downstairs, and my husband and I had plenty of space in the loft. The bed was comfortable. The stairs to the loft are very steep, so would not be a good choice if you have limited mobility on stairs. The small kitchen had everything we needed. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and a short walk to the downtown, which was full of cute shops and restaurants. This was a great home base for exploring Gold Country. We really enjoyed Empire Mine State Historic Park, which was only a few minutes away.

Walking around Grass Valley downtown stores

The third floor loft is lovely. Guest, should practice climbing up and down a ladder properly before renting the carriage house. There is a fold out sofa bed on the second floor be willing to walk up and downstairs. My visit to the carriage house was very nice.

Walking distance to downtown and very cute style. We lowered our rating because of the cleanliness. The bathroom mat was covered in pet hair. The floors desperately needed to be mopped. There was just dust and hair all over. We stayed during a heat wave and the AC kept us very cool.

Outside area was nothing more than a round table and two chairs in the driveway. The “lounge” was a laundry room with a couch. The actual available living space included a couch and some dining chairs. The most problematic thing were the visitors in the adjacent property.-great deal of yelling and noise our first night. Wasn’t a comfortable place though it was very convenient for our needs. The internet was strong and the bed was comfortable.as mentioned in the listing the very steep stairs to the bedroom we’re tricky. Owners were lovely and helpful. Just not a very comfortable stay for us.
