Beautiful and Cosy Countryhouse Overlooking Orvieto

This is the guesthouse of a beautiful countryhouse located in the middle of a vast estate of vineyards and olive grows ,overlooking the ancient city of Orvieto. From here you can easily reach, by train or car, many important cities like Rome,Florence ,Siena, Perugia ,Viterbo and many others. Lake Bolsena, 9 km away, offers nice beaches and water sports.
The house is on two levels: on the ground floor there are a nice living room with pelletstove, a master bedroom, a bathroom with shower and a studio or second bedroom with one or two bed.
On the second floor there are a fully equipped kitchen , a bathroom with shower and a terrace with pergola for eating al fresco overlooking Orvieto. A large garden surround the house.
18x8 metres swimming pool to be shared with another house at 500 metres.

During the winter months the cost of heating is separate, normally a bag of pellet is required per day ( approximately 9 euros)

We had a very relaxing stay at Simonetta ‘s country cottage. We had some trouble finding it due to roadworks re-routing us. The cottage was very clean and comfortable. The view over Orvietto was outstanding and we made full use of the beautiful garden area. We would love to stay again if we returned.

This was a return visit as we enjoyed our stay so much two years ago. The property was just as we found it before - beautifully clean, well presented and very well equipped with everything we needed. Although there was very seating indoors with access to the terrace area, it was also good to have another very comfortable sitting area downstairs - often a little cooler in the heat of August. The outside space was private with loungers and table and chairs for eating under cover, and the views towards Orvieto are spectacular. There is plenty of space for parking next to the property. Our host Simonetta lived in the adjoining property and was always available and extremely helpful if needed, but our property was completely private and so peaceful. We loved everything about the property and the area ( just a 10 minute drive to the centre of Orvieto which is beautiful). Thank you Simonetta for another lovely week. We may be back again.

This home is truly a magical place! Both rustic and modern at the same time. An extremely peaceful, private and charming setting that I know we’ll talk about for years to come. Spotlessly clean and just like the pictures! The host family is so nice and welcoming and always there for you should you need them. Make sure you do the cooking lesson and wine tasting too, you’ll also learn the fascinating history of this amazing property.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming 2-level guesthouse. It is set in the middle of a working vineyard, Tenuta Le Velette. It is beautifully decorated, furnished, and impeccably clean (two full bathrooms). The sweet kitchen has everything you would need to prepare al fresco meals. The beds are very comfortable and the space overall is larger than it appears in the photos. We were three adults and one child and had lots of space to spread out. There is no air-conditioning but it was not needed. Fans kept us very comfortable. The washing machine was great, especially when travelling with children. The private garden and views of Orvieto and the famous Duomo are stunning, beautiful sunsets. Our 9-year old's favourite part was the huge swimming pool, surrounded by vineyards and the classic Mediterranean pine trees. We drove daily (3 minutes) as it was quite hot and a bit of a hike for Grannie! You can walk to it in 8 minutes. A rental car is necessary for day trips - lots of parking space. Just to correct a previous reviewer, Orvieto is only a ten minute drive away (not 40). There is a large Coop there for any kind of groceries and beverages. The paid parking just below historic Orvieto is easy to use with elevators and escalators to take you up. The host, Simonetta, was gracious and kind and communication was easy. We highly recommend this beautiful VRBO; it was difficult to leave. Thank you Simonetta for sharing your lovely guesthouse with others.

Our host, Simonetta, greeted us upon aarrival. She is most kind and responsive to any questions. This property iis in a vineyard central to all the towns in Umbria and Tuscany. Her guest house is a rebuilt building and is beautiful. We felt blessed to stay there

beautiful view even in the rain!

Lovely setting and relaxing spot. We had rainy and foggy weather but the view was still great, and we enjoyed cooking at this cottage.

My wife and I had a wonderful and peaceful stay. Surrounded by grapevines and a majestic view of Orvieto! We also had fun doing the cooking class in which we made pasta and cookies. Sampled the vineyards amazing wine while we ate our meal from the cooking class.

We enjoyed our holidays in this wonderful and very nice holiday home very much. Simonetta and her family have been very accommodating and helpful hosts. We consider to book this very nice holiday home in the near future once again and then come back to Orvieto.

Orvieto winery Stay

Our stay was wonderful. Everything was very clean and Simonetta was friendly and provided everything in our rental to make us feel at home. Its a very short car ride to the town of Orvieto and we would love to come back again!!

Simonetta was delightful and explained everything very well. When we needed her she responded quickly. The little house is adorable and had everything we needed. The view- Fantastic!! A lovely patio and chairs to sit on as we sipped the wonderful wine from her vineyard and enjoyed the view. We also enjoyed meeting her son who runs the wine shop and helped us decide with our tastings. Orvieto is an ancient city not to be missed.

Stunning

This place is amazing. The views are even better than the photos show. Everything was clean and cozy, the kitchen was supplied with appropriate dishes, etc. Simonetta was lovely to deal with. The added bonus was a friendly dog (Pepe) and cat (sadly, with no name). Would definitely stay there again!

What a lovely experience!

We loved the cottage in this lovely vineyard. It was in an amazing location with gorgeous views, easy access to Orvieto, immaculately clean, and very well appointed for dinners at home, or just relaxing in a peaceful setting. To top it off, Simonetta and her dog Pepe are lovely hosts.

Peaceful and Relaxing Stay

Four of us enjoyed this cozy, charming house for two weeks. It was clean, well supplied and close to Orvieto which was wonderful. We quickly felt a connection with Simonetta and her family who were welcoming and responsive. The setting was quiet and the view overlooking the valley and Duomo was terrific. A touching, memorable experience.
