Really enjoyed our stay it was perfect for extended family of about 20 staying overnight with another 20 coming for a family birthday party! While overall the property is great a word of warning since there are no pictures is that the majority of bathrooms are very small!

I would say I'd love for the fire pit to be more so in the middle. But for a place with a fire pit, commercial kitchen and fridge, 3 grill, multiple rooms with showers, and a dinning area that can possibly fit 60. This place was very appreciated. One tv which we used the speakers and enjoyed eachothers presence so it was a house that definitely can raise a families moral. It's definitely old school and aged but nice and clean.

This is a great place for a crowd! The listing is accurate and the place is full of cool historical artifacts and details. The professional kitchen makes meal prep (and cleanup) for a crowd a breeze, and there is plenty of room to spread out. For those who wish to venture a bit farther afield, there is plenty to do in the area. Our family reunion group had a lovely time despite the rain, and I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. The Wilderness Lodge was perfect for our family of 31 to enjoy Thanksgiving together. The kitchen was awesome; fully stocked with all the appliances and cookware we needed. The space was great for everyone to gather and spread out. Lots of room for the little ones to play. The host was terrific, very responsive when we had questions.

Really loved this stay. Bed rooms were ok. Bathrooms were ok. I didn’t have shampoo or soap in my bathroom and didn’t ask the others if they did or didn’t. But the living area was like the perfect setting for a movie. The one thing I think others would rather know is the kitchen. It’s all resultant equipment so don’t bring anything other than your meat and chicken or what ever you’re planning to cook. I am def doing it again.

We booked Ryan's lodge for a retreat for our non-profit. The place was pretty perfect for us - we enjoyed having access to all the hiking trails and made all of our meals in the well-equipped kitchen. The large lodge dining room worked well for our meetings and we enjoyed having the firepit as well. The rooms look just like the pictures, so this is definitely not a flashy, modern lodge. We didn't need anything like that though and the beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. All of our team had a great time. Thanks for hosting, Ryan!

The lodge was clean and what you would expect from a lodge. Very limited electrical plugs in the bathrooms but still workable. Everyone had a great time. We were there for a family wedding and decided to all stay in one place.

A true lodge experience

The kitchen is huge and well equipped, lots of space to spread out, and the many bedrooms gave each family group their own private space. It’s an easy drive to the ski slopes and worked wonderfully for our large group! The rustic decor is extra fun and we’d gladly stay there again!!!

Family getaway for 26

I planned this 2 day vacation for myself 5 adult children and their spouses, 16 grandchildren and we all had plenty of comfortable sleeping areas. It had a great area for kickball and a wonderful bonfire area. The industrial kitchen was a favorite. The tv with Wi-Fi was easy to use and we had a a really fun enjoyable stay. I highly recommend it and will be looking to book again.

There were only a couple things keeping this from being a 5 star stay for us. While everything was clean, there were some small issues with things while we were there. One of the urinals in the lower bathrooms leaked and a shower in one of the rooms also leaked. The rooms were really good sizes but all of the bathrooms were small and outdated, but having one in almost every room was really nice. The pictures were very accurate and having a full commercial kitchen was a huge bonus. This property is a few minor updates away from being a top notch property.

Becoming our Annual Retreat

Our regular summer place wasn't available last year, so we tried the Wilderness Lodge. It was great. This is our second year coming back and likely to become our new summer tradition. Thank you!

Great stay for our Youth Group Retreat!

Our church Youth Group Retreat went fantastic here! There was plenty of room for everyone, plenty of space and opportunity for games. The kitchen (especially the stove top and the industrial dishwasher) were amazing for quickly cook up food and cleaning up afterwards. Ryan was always prompt in getting back to us when we had questions. We would definitely stay again and recommend for others!

Winter family get-together

Very roomy, even for our extended family of 9 adults and 12 children. The kids had plenty of room to romp, and the rustic furniture and decor meant they couldn't really break or ruin anything. The commercial-style kitchen made it easy to crank out meals for a large group (the dishwasher was awesome!). The owner was prompt and helpful in clearing up a few small glitches with the water system caused by the extremely cold weather.

Family Reunion gathering

We stayed here for a week with extended family. The checkin process was pretty straight forward. Communication prior to stay was better than during, but not worth complaining about. Pretty much, for the price, not a bad place to stay. Definitely an older building, and smells like it)) the kitchen is nice, but depending what the meals, better to bring your own tools)) laundry is not available for guests, a bit of an inconvenience, especially if the group is larger and wet lothing jeeds washed.. but with all that said, you get what you pay for, and we still had a great time, as the goal was to spend time with family, and the property has plenty of space for such a group. Would consider coming again.

Great rustic spot

We celebrated my 40th bday with 30 friends and family. The lodge is great for a big group of varying ages. It is accurately depicted in the pictures; you don't get other amenities - I was hoping they would have a foosball or ping pong table. The kitchen is indeed fully stocked -- all the cooking surfaces, coffee pots, pots, pans, knives, silverware, plates, etc you could need. The grounds were nicer than expected. I'm sure it's a great place to cross country ski -- wasn't enough snow for us. Only small hiccup was communication. It took a few days to hear back, and the recommended caterer never called back. Worked better when I looked up the number and called the Lodge directly. All in all -- a great rustic place to gather with a big group of friends and family. -Joe

Perfect Lodging for our group of 31

Our group has stayed at this location many times over the last few decades! This was the first time we rented the ENTIRE LODGE, which includes the commercial kitchen for us to prepare our own meals. This was fantastic once we figured out all of the quirks of the appliances. I think that a laminated instruction sheet for the ovens, stove, broiler, and dishwasher would be a tremendous help for future guests. The beds were comfy and all linens and towels were clean and included. We enjoyed hanging out in the bar / dining area playing games and listening to our friends play the piano! The fire place is FANTASTIC and the rustic atmosphere is cozy and perfect for our large outdoorsy group. We had hoped to have a weekend full of Nordic Adventures... however Mother Nature did not provide enough of the fluffy white stuff. That did not keep us from having a great time! We hiked every day - so many places with in an hour drive: state parks, lakes, antique shops, breweries, wineries etc. I highly recommend this Lovely Family Owned Lodge for large groups looking for a rustic adventure :)

This place was perfect for our group of gymnasts that were going to gymnastics camp for the week. The lodge is beautiful and very welcoming. The large table was perfect for all the girls to be able to sit and have breakfast together each morning. The kitchen had everything we needed. Communication with the host was great. The property is gorgeous and there was so much area to explore. The fire pit was great. I'm giving it a five stars because everything was seriously smooth and went really well, but I would recommend getting air conditioners for the rooms that do not have them. That was the only thing that would have improved our stay. We had some girls in rooms without air conditioning and they did not sleep as well as everyone else, but everything else was great. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your lodge!

A perfect getaway for a family retreat

This is our second stay at this property and between the pro kitchen, the ample sleeping and eating space and the 2 fire pits for relaxing sit down with everyone, this is a perfect property for a group outing. Could not recommend it enough!
