This property was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed the privacy and the available acreage to explore. The views were amazing. As you can imagine, it's not easy to get to the grocery store--the stocked pantry and fridge were a nice bonus. The second floor was like a retreat in itself--it offered great family separation when needed. We never had a problem with running out of water and we just over-packed to compensate for the lack of washer/dryer. We would definitely stay here again!A few things to note. These are in no way deter my 5-star review, are items I feel like future guests may want to know--1) the last 9 miles to the cabin is a pretty rough dirt road. We were able to get to the house with our SUV (pulling a trailer), but it's quite bumpy and slow going. Our last day out was after a good rain and it made the road a little trickier. It is doable for sure with 4WD or AWD. I'm not sure I'd take my car.2) the kitchen counters are about 4-6 inches higher than the standard countertop. If you like to cook and find yourself using the counters, stove and sink often, it may be difficult if you are of shorter stature. I am 5'8" and I found the counter-height to be a bit cumbersome.3) Unlike the counters (which are built for a tall person), the downstairs ceilings are the opposite. The men in my family are 6'3" and they barely cleared the 1st floor ceiling fans. If you are 6'4" or taller, know that you will be dodging some ceiling fan blades on the first floor.
