We’re sorry the train noise was disruptive during your stay. It’s not something we typically hear but we understand that everyone’s sensitivity to sound is different. There has been recent vegetation / tree clearing along the tracks, which has reduced some of the natural buffer between the railroad and the home. As for the A/C in the addition, the system and ductwork were newly completed in 2024 and have been professionally checked. We’ve provided a portable A/C and multiple fans as additional options to help keep that space comfortable, as we think the a/c company can do more but they insist it’s a late summer issue! We genuinely care about our guests’ experience and appreciate the feedback. We’ll continue doing what we can to make the home as comfortable and enjoyable as possible for every guest. It means a lot to hear that you found everything convenient and enjoyable. We also really appreciate you mentioning the train noise. The tracks are nearby, and while many guests aren’t bothered by it, we completely understand that light sleepers may be more sensitive. For that reason, we provide a white noise machine in the master bedroom closet to help create a more restful sleep environment.
