Located 2 miles from Lake Huron Shores, 2 miles from Caribou Lake, on trail 47 for ORV and Snowmobiles and a few miles from Detour Village.

Weekend getaway with friends

This was our second time staying at this house and it was just as good as the first time! Very clean, has all the necessities needed from the kitchen, to the living room, to the bathroom, to the bedrooms. So unbelievably peaceful. We will definitely be coming back! And Jake is very quick to respond!

Peaceful Getaway!

Our huge family of nine had the best time at this rental! The pictures truly don’t do the house justice—it was even more spacious and beautiful in person. The house had everything we could possibly need, from kitchen tools to cozy blankets and extra toiletries.With terrible weather during our stay, we were worried the kids would get restless, but that was never an issue. The house was packed with toys, board games, and activities to keep them entertained for hours. We spent our days playing games, watching movies, and enjoying quality family time. The internet was almost nonexistent, but honestly, that was a blessing in disguise—it gave us the perfect opportunity to unplug and enjoy each other’s company.Our trip took an unexpected turn when we had car trouble, and the nearest repair shop was over an hour away and had to order parts. Jake was incredibly kind and understanding, allowing us to extend our stay until our vehicle was fixed. His generosity made a stressful situation much easier to handle.If you're looking for a comfortable, well-stocked home with plenty to do—rain, snow or shine—this is the place to stay. We can’t recommend it enough and would absolutely come back!

Cozy Cabin

This home has wonderful size bedrooms. Comfy beds with plenty of extra warm blankets for winter stays. Spacious and inviting. We loved it.

Porcupine Cabin

My son, my friends, and myself enjoyed 5 day fishing trip. Our stay at the Porcupine Cabin could not have been better. It felt secluded, though it wasn't, its very close to many great fishing areas and the town of Detour. Drummond Island is nearby as well. Everyone had a time, it is the most well equipped cabin I've ever rented, if you forgot something our host Jake probably had two right in the cabin.

Cozy Peace & Quiet

Jake was a delight to correspond with. The property was clean, well cared for, and well appointed. We enjoyed feeling so far away from it all while being close to any amenities we may’ve needed. I’m excited to share my experience with this rental among family and friends!

Great cabin

Great host. It seems he has fixed every issue listed in previous reviews. New pans, everything we needed for preparing meals. Needed gas for grill and he promptly brought new bottle. Nicely decorated and clean. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch in the sun on comfy seats. Two outdoor tables with chairs. Would recommend to others. While located in the woods, not on water the peaceful setting made for an enjoyable stay.
